Which is your most favourite unique unit in Civ 6?

Posted: 29 Apr 2017 11:35 AM PDT

For me, I probably have to go with mamluks. In my deity game as Arabia, I was fighting on offensive war against China, who initially had an army around 3 times times my size. I just spammed mamluks in my top production cities, and sent them to the border between me and China to form a mamluk wall. China proceeded to slam all his units at me, and let's just say whatever happened afterwards is against the Geneva convention. Good memories with this UU. XD

Honourable mentions go to war carts, cossacks and perhaps diggers.

I am Holy Roman Edgelord I, King of /r/gonewild and Ruler of Neckbeards. Even if you rule well, with law and order, I will still denounce you in about 20 turns

Question regarding Nukes and Multiplayer

Posted: 29 Apr 2017 05:01 PM PDT

My friend and I were playing multiplayer. I had an aircraft carrier in the middle of the ocean with a bomber on it. Somehow my friend managed to use my bomber to launch MY nuke and I'm very confused. He said he just had the option to when clicking on my bomber.

Is there a way to disable the UI real life clock?

Posted: 29 Apr 2017 01:56 PM PDT

Civilization 6

As the title says.

I really don't want to see the clock on the top right corner. I have no desire to know how late it is(again), I just want to play in peace without thinking about the time, so is there anyway you can disable that with mods or something?

How well can this run Civ 6?

Posted: 29 Apr 2017 06:39 PM PDT

Thinking about getting the Dell XPS 15 9560 (7700hq, 16gb, 1050). I'm confident in the cpu's ability but the gtx 1050 seems a little lackluster even at 1080p. It's hard to find benchmarks for civ so I thought I'd ask here.

I also know I could get a more powerful 1060 laptop for cheaper but I'm also looking for good battery life and weight

how long should I play until I try multiplayer?

Posted: 29 Apr 2017 02:16 PM PDT

I'm totally new to this series and I've only put a few hours of time into it but it's definitely a lot of fun. My only issue is that I don't see how multiplayer games could even be feasible for me since I spend like ten minutes every turn weighing every available option to me and planning long term.

How long do serious online games typically last turn-wise? Is it normal to have online matches where you finish a turn and then go off to read a book for a bit or something?

edit: I'm playing civ 5 without the expansions (I'm broke)

What's the most fun way to play?

Posted: 29 Apr 2017 09:01 AM PDT

I have had civ V for a long time and I love playing with my friends, but they never want to really play anymore and I dont know what settings create fun games. I'm guessing a lot of you play wirh the ai and have fun and I have a lot of free time in the next week. So what's your favorite settings to play with?

Civ6 - AI Multiplayer teams, ohgodwhy?

Posted: 29 Apr 2017 01:07 PM PDT

After years of playing Civ5 solo and with friends I was pretty bummed out at the problem of AI teams. Often they would completely ruin their building strategies and warfare was very bugged. Still, I could manage with those troubles if it were not for the issue with starting civs not doing anything. Like, at all. This issue would randomly occur it seemed, even after loading games.

Then Civ6 came, and at first I was not bothered with the failed release of team play / MP. Then it got introduced and I was very psyched again to try solo MP with AI teams. Alas, the same issue still persists. AI civs do not build anything but warriors and never expand.

Does anyone have any way of successfully playing together with an AI civ on your team against other civs? E.g. using certain mods, or configurations? I have tried AI+ but it does not help, and tried different playing speeds and difficulties, all the same issue.
