How is my husband making potions worth 20,000 gold?

I literally just posted about how I finally got my husband into Skyrim and he keeps stealing tomatoes and generally being a newb.

Well now he's level 16, and I'm watching him run around town selling his potions, and they're all between 9,000-20,000 gold!! How?! His alchemy is level 66. Merchants can't even buy his stuff.

I did tell him that alchemy was surprisingly lucrative but did he break the game? Should I investigate the mods? He's not wearing any enchanted gear either.
