PSA: Classic Helmet Pack going away on Feb. 21 Posted: 14 Feb 2017 11:51 AM PST Heads up- I've just been informed that the Halo 5 classic helmet pack will be up in the store for one more week and then on Feb. 21 it will be taken down. I'm sure it will come back again at some point here and there but if you're working on an RP grind, plan accordingly. [link] [comments]

Posted: 14 Feb 2017 03:38 PM PST Hey everyone! Over the last couple of weeks, I've seen a lot of people talking about Team EnvyUs, since they won Fall Finals but have fallen short since. I decided to write this in response. Feedback, shares and all that are greatly appreciated! http://thegamehaus.com/2017/02/14/team-envyus-a-rough-patch-or-falling-apart/ [link] [comments]

The ultimate spinning forge objects tutorial Posted: 14 Feb 2017 08:06 PM PST The Problem As most of you probably know, when forge objects are scripted to rotate the are jittery and unstable. After many different tests I have come up with two ways to make forge objects rotate extremely smoothly. The Easy Solution The first way to make things spin uses a single script and an invisible vehicle of your choice. Start by placing an invisible vehicle (I used a mongoose) and giving it this script. The higher the velocity number, the faster your object will spin (on small objects a velocity higher than 100 can break things). Next weld the mongoose to the thing you want to spin and a few physics joints like this. The parent object in the group does not matter but I suggest using one of the joints as the parent so it's easier to put into place. Once you've done that just set the physics to phased and it will start spinning. that jitter is just the gif looping The reason I used an invisible vehicle instead of anything else is that vehicles have much more moving power than most other objects and there aren't any other invisible objects that can push things. The Cool Solution This method uses gravity slides instead of scripts and tends to be better for things that rely on timing and objects that spin vertically (like windmills). Since this is way more finicky I've made a few prefabs to help people out: To make this work start by placing down the gravity slide prefab then add in the crank (make sure it's in the joints) and if you need your thing to spin slower add in a x64 gear and then just weld the crank (and gear if you use it) set it to normal physics and it should start spinning. (sometimes it looks jittery in forge but it's normally fine in customs). [link] [comments]

They should really get whoever wrote Halo Wars 2 to write Halo 6 Posted: 14 Feb 2017 11:14 PM PST Probably too late, but from what I've seen Halo Wars 2 looks light years ahead of Halo 5 in terms of it's story and characters. [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Feb 2017 08:47 PM PST This is a community based around pictures and fan art of badass spartans. Post any in-game screenshots of awesome armor combos you made from any of your favorite Halo games! Since Halo 5 is the current game in the franchise, try to prioritize this game over others. Remember everyone, have fun! Many pictures will have different opinions, but be sure to appreciate others people's creativity. Be as expressive and imaginative as you desire! [link] [comments] |
