Eleague Major - Grand final fun facts Posted: 29 Jan 2017 04:50 AM PST I usually do this kind of thing for every event I attend as part of stat prep using HLTV and Liquipedia (thank you to both of you for the amazing work), grab it all up, add it all to a spreadsheet and then come up with statistical or milestone stories. Rather than spam Twitter, I thought i'd share them all in one handy post. Astralis Facts This is the first grand final of a Major for Astralis and the first for all five players. device has the highest kills to death difference of all players at the ELEAGUE Major with +84 (next best +64 from coldzera). device tops the charts at ELEAGUE Major in most kills (242), kills per round (0.93), total awp kills (90) and total opening kills (51). Astralis have the top two most assists at ELEAGUE Major with Xyp9x (49) and gla1ve (45). Astralis have the best kill to death difference of any team at the ELEAGUE Major with +139. kjaerbye is the least experienced player in the grand final in just his 3rd Major at ELEAGUE Major, he's also the youngest (18). Astralis became the first team in Major history to reach the final despite losing twice already, both in BO1 format. Virtus Pro Facts This is the second major final Virtus Pro have reached, they won their last appearance in 2014 at Katowice. It's the first time in their last five semi finals at a major that Virtus Pro made it to the grand final. Snax has the lowest deaths per round average of all players at the ELEAGUE Major with just 0.57. Snax has won more clutches (1vsX) at ELEAGUE Major with 6 (joint 1st with KRIMZ). Tournament Facts There have been 7 aces at ELEAGUE Major the lowest since the record low set at ESL One Cologne in 2015 (just 5). Snax became the only player in Major history to score an ace at 4 Majors, during this tournament. GeT_RiGhT & flusha both scored aces at 3 Majors. There have been a total of 78 aces during Majors, Snax has the most of all players with 4, all coming at 4 different majors. Overpass is the most played map so far at ELEAGUE Major, played 9 times. cbbl and cache both on 8. The first map of the grand final will be the 50th map played at ELEAGUE Major. The biggest map winning margin at ELEAGUE Major is 16-3, which has been achieved SIX times! SK have been on both ends of that scoreline. Of the 78 aces ever made at Majors, 11 of them are by players playing in the grand final at ELEAGUE Major. Not the greatest thing to celebrate, but 10 more deaths and device will join the 1,000 deaths at a Major club ;) Astralis appearance in the final means that a total of 45 different players have ever played in a Major Grand final.
