| 7 Year Old Brother got a New Xbox, decided it was the time to get him into Destiny Posted: 25 Dec 2016 10:09 AM PST His current Guardian and Director Eyes up, Young Guardian Got him Vanilla for £6.99 and he disappeared in his Bedroom to play after opening it and seeming pretty excited Couple of happy shouts and bangs later I went up to check in on him after an hour or so to find he was playing the Devils Lair He was up to the the Ghost doing the lasers and was stuck with another guy - Had a quick look at his Guardian to see he'd chosen a Hunter (Best choice) He asked me to take over so I obliged and got him all the way to Sepiks Let him back on and he had the best time taking him down, shouts of "Blue arms, I've never seen such high arms!" And my favourite "That guy did nothing, he doesn't deserve to get any rewards!" Hoping I've just added a new member to my Fireteam! Or Happy Holiday, or Festive Dawning, or whatever. You just got Destiny, congratulations! After sinking your teeth in, you'll probably come up with a few questions. Maybe as early as the character creation page. Be sure to check out the guide for new and returning players. Also, in case you aren't aware, you can score some free exclusive loot from the refer a friend quest! You have 7 days from singing up to pair up with a Veteran player (someone who has been playing for more than 7 days). You can find one on /r/fireteams Have a good one! Edit: this is very quickly becoming a place to find veterans. Mods, if this is a job for fireteams, feel free to shut the whole thing down. On the other hand, fireteams can be confusing for newer players so maybe having a RaF thread on the main subreddit isn't a terrible idea. [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 25 Dec 2016 08:44 AM PST I've had this conversation with people a lot, I mention Destiny and I hear stuff like "Oh yeah, it looked cool and stuff but it was really lame. It was boring, there was no story, little content and it was just stupid leveling up." Then explaining to this person how much has changed and they just go "but it's still just playing the same stuff over and over again." Edit: Just got back from work. | Tresspasser IMO really sits at that ideal exotic power level.. Posted: 25 Dec 2016 05:30 PM PST I say that as a sidearm main in PVP (I know shotguns are better)...it's just better than any legendary sidearm IMO, while not being OP. Even with there not being much to do in Destiny these days, we all still pop into our discord chat every day and just talk about anything. We're all from different parts of the world but we thought it would be a cool idea to do a secret santa and ship out some sweet gifts to each other for xmas. | Posted: 25 Dec 2016 08:21 PM PST Everybody told me Destiny was a joke. A failed MMO, a dead game. I saw the Destiny Collection and scoffed, fifty dollars for a lame game? A failed game? A dead game. I decided it was time to see what Destiny had to offer. I was expecting something mediocre. I couldn't be more wrong, and I feel terribly for it. It's been a little over two years since Destiny released to luke warm reviews and people still disregard the game as a failure. I am here to tell you that my previous thoughts were wrong. Within the first few hours of gunning down the fallen I knew I was wrong. This is a fantastic video game and I regret that I disregarded it for so long. I know this will probably not be seen, but I want to apologize to the developers and the players who have had to deal with any sort of stigma regarding this game. I also want to thank EzioAuditore412 on the Xbox One for offering help with the main story within my first ten minutes on the game. | I'm Beginning to Really Dis-like Aksis (It's Beginning to Look at Lot like Christmas Parody) Posted: 25 Dec 2016 08:43 AM PST I'm beginning to really dis-like Aksis, Struggling every go, I'm with LFG group 5 or 10, and we're wiping once again, With our Spliced Raid gear and Dark Drinkers aglow. I'm beginning to really dis-like Aksis, Trapped in SIVA Swarms, But the shittiest sight to see, is the Captains that will be, Stuck inside the door. All for a pair Raid boots and gun I won't shoot, its Hand Cannon number 10, All I'm hoping to get is the rest of the set, as I don't have the Shader yet, And yes we know that when it's done there's no NanoPhoenix for any of my friends. I'm beginning to really dis-like Aksis, Two Empowered left, Now we're struggling to throw the bombs, And our random usually drops, His Cannon down the hole. | Got The Collection for Christmas Posted: 25 Dec 2016 08:56 AM PST Hi guys, I've been wanting to get into Destiny for a while now. I didn't like it originally during the Alpha and Beta, so I ignored it at the time. But recent trailers for the new expansion and all the stuff looks really cool. I've been playing The Division from a month after it's launch to this very day (500+ hours in game), and I think Destiny will complement it very well and help fill my looter shooter craving. So my question is, any tips on where I should start? What I should or shouldn't do to enjoy the Destiny in it's current state? Any help will be greatly appreciated by this newbie. Thanks! Jay and Dennis are playing the "Cayde's Stash" mission on Destiny (after getting it for Chrismas presumably). It's so obvious that I'm not sure if it's an easter egg or reference.
