Official Changelog
Mastery Gems
- Mastery and Kinetic gem functionality has been merged and the term “Mastery Gem” removed. What were previously called mastery gems are now kinetic gems. Kinetic gems can change animations, change abilities, add or modify particle FX, change ability icons, and modify other features of the item they are attached to.
Treasure Keys
The following changes have been made to complete the transition to a keyless economy.- Treasure Keys are no longer sold on the Dota 2 store.
- All basic treasures that were previously opened with a Treasure Key have been removed from the game and the Steam Community Market.
- Treasure Keys can now be redeemed for a free unlocked Treasure of your choice. When you use the treasure key a new redemption menu will open. Immortal treasures and some older special event treasures are excluded from this menu, but otherwise the list of treasures is unrestricted. One key can be exchanged for any one treasure. As new treasures are added to the game, they will also be added to this menu.
- All treasure keys will expire and be removed from the game one year from now on July 1st, 2015. Keys must be redeemed by that time.

Others
- Lockless Luckvase has now been removed from the Store.
- Treasure Keys are now tagged as commodities. This means they now work with the Buy Orders feature.
- A lot of backend changes were done to items and cosmetics to suit the changes mentioned above in the changelog. Pretty much everything is tagged differently now.
- Artificer's Brand entry from the schema has now been removed.
- Treasure of the Emerald Dragon has now been removed from the list of chests you can redeem your keys to.

String Updates
In-Game
- When you alt-click an item in-game to notify your allies that you will purchase it, it will now show if the item is in stock or not.
Tooltip Updates
- Fixes to the tooltips of Veil of Discord and Ring of Aquila to display the attributes correctly.
Audio Updates
- The volume of the sounds when gaining items has been lowered slowly and some fine tuning.
- The volume of the sound when you go in to showcase mode has been lowered a bit.
- The main script file for the sounds in the game has now been entirely isolated. It should be easy to tweak it for custom mods and maybe they'll even support audio packs in the future.
Workshop Updates
- Drow Ranger and Windranger now have a particle systems up for the bow string on her uploads.
Portrait Updates
- Booooofus portrait was updated a little bit.
