About a week ago Cloud 9 announced that their popular midlaner SingSing had left Cloud 9. Now the team reveals his replacement. Former Mouz player Fata will join Cloud 9.
EternalEnvy's statement regarding Fata:
I’m proud to announce that Fata will be joining Cloud9 DOTA 2. We originally tried him out last year and invited him to join us as we felt he was a very good fit but he was not ready to commit at the time. Now he’s ready to join Cloud9 for our quest for TI5.
Fata himself says:
After several days of long thinking, I realized that this is the best option due to the fact that the players are extremely skilled, hard working and are ready to commit a lot to the game to achieve the goal of becoming one of the, if not the best team in the world. Moreover, Cloud9 is a great organization that will support us on this road. I sincerely hope that I am of aid when it comes to reaching that goal and that we have a successful time together.Fata joining Cloud 9 is in fact a return to his roots. The German had his competitive Dota 2 breakthrough playing for one of Kaipi's first iterations. He has played with pieliedie before and was considered as a potential pickup after The International 3. After that he teamed up with former mousesports teammate paS to join Sigma.int. A fairly succesful time followed, earning a 3rd/4th place at MLG Columbus, but Fata left the team after disappointing results in early 2014. He joined Team Dog which got picked up by Mouz. The team managed to qualify directly to The International 2014 but failed in the tiebreakers.
