I have recently started playing dota semi serious for about a week and am really having fun playing Razor . Usually I farm till 6 and gank with whichever rune I get. How do I deal with side laners that push and die to ganks even in the safe lane, because I usually end up just farming and lose the game due to fed side lanes. Another problem I have is itemizing against right clickers like Juggernaut, Bloodseeker and Viper. Also can you guys recommend any heros similar to Razor inn the mid lane so I can widen my hero pool.
Against right clickers buy Heaven's Halberd
If your team is bad and feeds then you can't really do much to salvage the game other than doing the Mekansm build. With Mekansm you and your team are more survivable (when you're present) and can take advantage of pushing early before the enemy carries get scary.
Scary strong heroes like Razor
Outworld Devourer and Silencer come to mind. They're int heroes though unlike Razor but can steal significant amounts of enemy int that it massively boosts their right clicks. Also they have enough agi gain that they can attack at speeds comparable to Razor.
Then there's Death Prophet who has an overwhelming physical damage ultimate like Razor does, and she can move pretty fast like him too. She doesn't have any damage stealing mechanic though.
Razor needs all the survivability he can get
I always aim for an Aghanim's Scepter every game as well. It's just too good. A level 1 Aghanim's Scepter Razor Eye of the Storm is better than level 3 without Aghanim's Scepter. Yeah, it's that good and actually super scary for the enemy to deal with. Natural progression items on Razor are Butterfly, Satanic, Daedalus, and my favorite: Refresher Orb. Butterfly gives Razor everything he wants and needs. Satanic makes you tankier in situations where you need it, also you steal a ton of damage and can lifesteal a lot. Daedalus takes your +400 stolen damage and crits it for 1100. Refresher Orb stacks his ultimate 2x and makes it melt anything in the game.
Your teammates are feeding in their lanes
If your teammates are feeding in their lanes (for example they've already died twice without getting any kills in return, and you're pretty sure going back to lane at this point is just going to get them killed), then it's usually better to have them give up the lane. There's no sense staying in lane when it's benefitting your opponent more than it is you!
I find that the best way to get them to do that without them getting defensive and just arguing with you is asking them to do something else useful instead - get them to group up with you and push the mid tower, for example.
