Scandal leaves PR
Power Ranger

Russia's long standing veteran, Roman 'Scandal' Sadotenkov, has officially parted ways with the Belarus based organization, Power Rangers.

Scandal has been a household name across the CIS region and can easily be considered as one of the long standing veterans in the Russian scene. Amassing wealth of knowledge and experience under his belt, Scandal has been an integral part of organizations like Team Empire and RoX.KIS before joining Power Rangers.

According to PR's team manager Victor 'p351l' Davidovich, the atmosphere within the team was good when Scandal first joined. However, some misunderstanding was created and the team underwent through some turbulent waters until their three week long bootcamp in Belarus, after which things were looking fine once again.

Shortly before the TI4 qualifiers, Scandal refused to bootcamp with the team as he thought it affected the team's performance in a negative way as judged by their previous bootcamp. Eventually, he arrived for the bootcamp in time a day before the qualifiers began but the results ended up being dismal as they failed to qualify for The International 2014. In the end, after some meetings and discussions, Scandal decided to part ways with Power Rangers.

Complete Statement
As many of you know, perhaps the most expirienced Belarus Dota 2 player Vitaly "zxc" Domostroi left the team this winter. There were a lot of different reasons. Roman "Scandal" Sadotenkov began to play for us since February. As it happens in 99% of cases, when a new player joins the team, one doesn't any minor flaws. Guys have played together, they have had victories and defeats, but the main thing was that they felt comfortable together. In April, the month before the qualifications, team started having problems. There was small discommunication, we were making mistakes in games, some players didn't want to admit it and small disputes have occured, not causing anything good. Actions to resolve the situation were taken immepiately. We've gathered in Minsk for almost 3-week bootcamp, from the middle of April til the beginning of May. We've found our game again, we've won couple of tournaments, the self-confidence has returned. We were lucky to attend LAN-tournament Excellent Moscow Cup, where we took 2nd place. But the qualifications have come and everything went wrong from the beginning. Team was feeling some unnecessary nervousness or something. Roman didn't want to go to Minks to play from game-house at all, besed on the fact that since the last bootcamp team hasn't improved much. In a way he was right, but in that case, right before the most important tournament of the year, that remark was inappropriate, at least in a way Roman gave it. Nevertheless, he came to Minsk 1 day before The International 4 qualifications. You all know the result. Team hasn't played to the full extent, losing to not the strongest opponents. However, noone is blaming specific people. We've lost alltogether, sometimes because of not training good enough, sometimes because of management faults, but the fact remains. After the qualifications we had a team meeting with our sponsor where we've discussed main mistakes and possible solutions. We've developed a specific plan for the next season, but, as it turned out later, Roman wasn't ready for such working conditions, what is certanly his right. But most importantly, there was no confidence in some members of team, confidence in there professional growth in new season, new enviroment, with new ideas and goals. We've met once again. Roman's pondered the situation for some time and decided to leave the team. Can't say I was surprised, but till the last moment I was trying to find strands to bond players. But alas. Now it's time to move forward. We've already contacted several players and have a clear plan for the upcoming season.
Scandal was best known for his carry and solo mid roles, notably, Templar Assassin, Invoker and Shadow Fiend which garnered much respect from the community. Power Rangers have contacted several players to find an apt replacement for Scanda
