Playing War of the Walkers... don't really know what to do anyone help me? Posted: 18 Aug 2018 04:42 PM PDT I haven't played in a while so am not up on anything really but I felt like trying a single player game using a overhaul to see what its like. I am trying war of the walkers, but I dont really know what to do... I built a little hut and night came and the zombies are outside, I cant see anything. Will I make it? All I can make is a club and a bow and arrow. I tried going to a town to loot on an attempt and there was just too much shit trying to kill me. Like what is a good basic plan of action in a sp game? Do I bother building a house straight away? Do I fight shit or run? Best way to get xp and unlock skill points? How do I unlock new items to craft? Really love the idea of the mod and the game just not sure where to start and can't find any literature on guides for the mod anywhere. I also tried the quests as I thought maybe this would be a good starting point, on WotW it jumps straight to class quests, but like the building one for example is to collect 5000 odd wood, clay and stone. Like it would take me so long to do this and I dont even know where to look for clay lol. The only one that looked do able easily was kill 15 creatures for marksmen or something. Do I just start here? What do I need to unlock to craft better tools etc.? [link] [comments]
Is heat map still a thing in this game? Posted: 18 Aug 2018 01:12 PM PDT I'm trying to farm zombies for XP in the latest patch and I know that in patch 15 if you put down a ton of campfires and lit them all, it would attract a ton of screamers to your location, which would then summon zombies for you to kill. I lit about 8 campfires and waited, but nothing happened. Is the heatmap still a thing in this game? If it isn't, how does one go about attracting zombies? [link] [comments]
Lesser known modpacks in the 7D2D Mod Launcher Posted: 18 Aug 2018 11:23 AM PDT Valmod, WoTW, Starvation and True Survival all seem to get a lot of attention (and for good reason), but there are a bunch of other mods/modpacks listed on the launcher that I've not heard anything about. Anyone have one to recommend that's not as well known? [link] [comments]
Posted: 18 Aug 2018 07:03 PM PDT I haven't messed around with any mods yet. Am I going to find that some are windows-only? Are there any (or all?) that are seamless with linux? [link] [comments]

Questions About Combining To Sell (Or Not) & the Trader Posted: 18 Aug 2018 05:55 PM PDT I have a lot of different items I want to sell, most notably a lot of clothes and lots of pistols. I'm wondering if I should craft the lower level items (pistol lvls: 108, 116, 120, 123, 169, 191) together to make a better item to sell, or just sell them? I imagine it's worth taking into account how much the trader will buy, as I doubt he wants 6 pistols at once. Also another couple of questions: 1. how often does the trader restock/start buying again and 2. about how much does it buy, or does it vary? Thanks! TL;DR: should I craft lower items together to sell or just sell all of them? When does the trader restock? How much of something will he be buy? [link] [comments]

This game does not want you to have fun Posted: 18 Aug 2018 10:07 AM PDT UPDATE: Thanks for the suggestions and help! Seriously, this game has been a brutal chore all the way through. The main problem with this game is how fucking rare the calipers are. I searched eight towns container by container, 10 total Stiff Tools, and the entirety of central city. Not one caliper set. Not one. The whole point of the calipers is to be able to make bullets and use the guns you've been itching to use; when the game actually becomes fun. Nope, let's make it early impossible to find calipers because fuck the player am I right? I know you're gonna say, "use the blunderbuss" but the blunderbuss is ass. I emptied five shots with a fully upgraded blunderbuss into a dog and nothing happened. In fact I got killed. Not to mention when you're searching for these calipers in far away places you best be sure to bring as little as possible so when you inevitably die you don't lose as much. I have died one time 5 km away from spawn point and had to march 20 minutes just to get back to searching and having maybe an ounce of fun. Then comes the nights. You can't search during the night (unless you have a gun which you can't use because you don't have bullets) because everything is on a mission to eat your ass through and through. So basically I have to take a forced 10 minute break just to get back to searching. Still the chance of dying, too. If it's a horde night, better do laps so the zombies can't catch you. Now what about the times where you searched an entire town and have to find a new one? You get on the roads. However sometimes the roads dont fucking go anywhere and leave you on a dead end, making you turn all the way around and finding a new turn; hoping to god that it leads you to a town. If I didn't have a mini bike I might've just quit the game right there. I think I might've used 40,000 units of gas so far. Oh yeah, gas. Make sure to bring plenty; cause if you run out good fucking luck. What about when you're searching for calipers in buildings? Really risky and a huge chore. Since you don't have bullets to use you're left with the next best piece of shit you have; a crossbow. Also, when you're searching a building, the game had a tendency to drop two hordes on you, forcing you out of the building, taking 20 minutes to kill them just to get back to searching. Despite everything being wrong with this game, I'm still going to give it a chance. A chance that I'll somehow find fucking calipers. I'm on day 127, by the way. EDIT: just realized one more thing. I would listen to music while searching but I need to be able to hear or a fucking dog will kill me. Just a little thing [link] [comments] |
