First Person and what it does to you

Hello Guys,

I've been playing DayZ on and off since the first week of the mods release back then. I've spend so much time running around in chernarus.

Most servers back then used to be third person servers as it was more comfortable to play due to lags, stuttering and overview. People, me included, got used to it.

Since then I've always played third person with some hours spend on first person servers. With the game developing in a good way, having constantly good fps, I gave first person another try.

The immersive gameplay is awesome. It's so immersive I literally fear running around in cities and hotspots. It's a real struggle.

Do you feel the same way or did you get used to it?

I'm trying to test out all the new items in the offline mod. However, the spawn menu also features all the 0.62 items, most of which obviously don't work. Does anybody have some sort of patch note list where all the new items are listed?

When I first found Spray Paint I thought I could use it to actually spray. Like on buildings, walls, etc. And I was disappointed how little can you actually do with it. Imagine walking through the city and seeing a lot of pointing arrows sprayed by another player. Should I follow them or is it a bad idea? Or tagging "your" territory which could be a great way to tell other players don't go there, you are getting shot if you come close to my stuff

Hello Everyone,

Today, the DayZ Dev Team has released a new stress test version, and so we used this opportunity to make another stable release. This is to ensure that the files are up-to-date, and to prevent any compile issues when using the development version.
We are pleased to say that we hit over 25,000 downloads on GitHub (at least 25,877 to be precise)! Considering this was only planned to be a small project, until the official single player was released, we are happy with how many people still use it and send us ideas for future versions. We are currently working on an update, which we hope to release very soon. This will improve the overall quality of the code and usability, while also adding new features that are particularly focussed on content creators. We will also be introducing a multiple character persistent save system, to make it easier to switch between different sandboxes and characters (for when you really just want to play without cheats).

As a little teaser for the upcoming update, here is a picture taken from DannyDog with the new camera manager that will be included. This is taken directly ingame, without any image editing.

Motivated by the interest in this project I started a second project that will be merged into the community offline mode and will be made publicly available some time soon. More details will be shared over time.
