Ultimate 100% Completion Idea

Posted: 09 Jul 2018 02:01 PM PDT

Once you finish Ultimate's equivalent of 100%, it should cut back to the N64 intro and show the hand putting the toys away and flicking off the lights, and then unlock N64 skins for the original cast.

I'd love to see Ultimate bring the off-screen audience's insane hype levels back to how it was in Smash N64.

Posted: 09 Jul 2018 01:22 PM PDT

That's one of the things I loved about the original Smash Bros. - You could feel the excitement of the audience. How they reacted when one fighter took a pretty heavy hit, or when a fighter landed back on the stage after suffering a major blow, Hell, they even cheered when Ness successfully pulled off a PSI Magnet.

Melee kind of subdued them, but specially in Smash 4, I often forget that they're there, except for the cheers (which are a step down from before).

It's a very minor thing, but it's something I'd like to see return. Anyone else feel the same?

Do you think Pichu will still be a joke character?

Posted: 09 Jul 2018 11:36 AM PDT

In Melee, Pichu was made as a joke character. That's why he was so weak (apparently still better than Bowser and Kirby, though. Rough.) I'm wondering if he'll still be a joke character in Ultimate. I think it would be awesome if he were made a real character because it would make the game feel that much more ultimate if there wasn't a character intended to be bad.

What do you all think?

Smash Ultimate numbering possibly indicates that Sheik was added before Zelda

Sakurai made a similar statement about Smash 4 not focusing on very many newcomers, which didn’t end up being true

Anyone else find it weird that we got Pokemon Trainer as the whole character again?

Posted: 09 Jul 2018 02:27 PM PDT

Considering smash 4's trend of making characters that transform, into seperate characters, like Zelda and Sheik, Samus and ZS, and making Charizard it's own character, it's weird how they added Pokemon Trainer back as one character instead of making Squirtle, Ivysaur and Charizard seperate characters. I mean personally I would've wanted to see what new down specials they would've gived them. It's also weird that they added Charizard back into the character and removed his down special Rock smash.

Who’s your most unlikely dream newcomer?

Posted: 09 Jul 2018 07:08 PM PDT

For me it's either Joker or the Jack Bros as an Atlus rep with the other as an AT.
