RuneScape After reaching tier 30 for Runepass, Jagex asks you "Would you like to see more of this?" - NO, I DO NOT. Why not ask people BEFORE they reach level 30? Afraid it will skew your biased survey?

As an Ironman, this just adds insult to injury...

Posted: 06 Jul 2018 05:09 PM PDT

I spent my gp on bonds to unlock cosmetics while I play your game on my Ironman, and this is what I get. Not a single part of this has been handled well at all, and this, this just felt like a slap in the face to the work I already have to do to get the cosmetics...

Jagex is half-assing everything, this game is trash

Posted: 07 Jul 2018 01:03 AM PDT

Just think about it, we get good updates only ocassionaly, even the armor has low-res textures, game is filled with bugs that can take months to fix, tons of delayed updates some of which might not even come out, shit tick system along with a relatively okay combat system gives you a shit experience when compared to any decent MMO out there and also shit customer support. Defend Jagex all you want but you have to admit, this game is not like it used to be and everything is half-assed. All of this and the game is the probably the one with the biggest amount of MTX I've seen.

Look at any other game, RuneScape has become laughable.

I know there's a lot going on in this sub lately... But today I achieved my greatest accomplishment and I have nowhere else to share it: 120 Construction.

Rare item token store 2018???

Posted: 07 Jul 2018 03:15 AM PDT

Will we be getting a new set of rare items this year? Usually they run the Promo around Feb/March but not this year. These usually end up being my favorite items in the game, they always do interesting things aesthetically, would be hugely dissapointed if they skipped it this year.

Hopefully it's just a slight delay.

Make Runescape great again

Posted: 06 Jul 2018 08:29 PM PDT

Please reduce the number of worlds, the game is much more attractive to play when you see others engaged in content. If we want new players to enjoy their first experiences with the game, they need to see others going about their grind.

I know this will mean abyssal demons and other popular training spots will be overpopulated, but i think thats a necessary sacrifice for the overall health of the game but additional locations, instances or more diversity in options can be added

Edit: Currently 44 worlds with less than 100 people and 6 worlds with over 400 (4 hours past reset)

Edit2: last polled in 2014, the game has changed significantly since then - http://services.runescape.com/m=poll/archive.ws?year=2014&id=727

Edit3: Not sacrificing abyssal demons

Customer support is atrocious

Posted: 06 Jul 2018 01:45 PM PDT

So you'd think in the middle of an MTX shitstorm Jagex would be focused on keeping their customers happy.

Early morning on Sunday 1st of July I was logged out whilst doing my slayer task.

I now get an error message that displays "Your attempt to log into your account was unsuccessful. Don't worry, it's easy to sort this out quickly" which doesn't explain the problem. Clicking on "Click Here" just takes me to the membership page asking for more membership.

A few days before, £16.49 was taken from my bank account through PayPal for my 3 months membership package so that's not the problem.

Worst part about this is I have escalated this to the billing customer support team through the official website and the turn around time was "48 hours" well guess what I'm still waiting!

Long and short of it, I have now escalated this to PayPal to claw my £16.49 back and Jagex still haven't responded to either my original support request OR the PayPal case. I now have to wait for Jagex to respond via PayPal by the 16th of July. Fuck you Jagex.

It's been 6 days now since I could log into RS and I'm pretty pissed at being ignored. This is my first post on reddit but it seems like the only place I can actually rant!

When I do eventually get my money back should I even bother buying more membership? How the hell do I even get this resolved if Jagex themselves don't respond to their official methods of communication?

I hate doing this but sod it, I've been playing on and off since 2004 on different accounts and to be blatantly ignored like this without explanation is a disgrace. You might not lose me as a player through MTX, but you may well lose me by taking us customers for granted.

Yeah, that's about it. Rant over. I'll go back to NOT playing Runescape.

Add more space in menagerie pet house.

Posted: 06 Jul 2018 09:00 PM PDT

In the current state of runescape we have a pet for every skill, almost every boss, certain slayer monsters, as dg rewards buyable with tokens, and as rewards from certain minigames in addition to the more general pets of old.

The current highest level pet house for the menagerie only stores 30 pets which is pretty easy to fill: https://imgur.com/a/rIJiO8W

Yes, you could argue any pet in the pet tab does not need to be shown in the menagerie but at the end of the day isn't the point of poh to show off. Do i really need all my boss pets free roaming in my poh? Yes.

Considering there are 48 boss pets alone, i would say about 45 slots would be a fair new amount if not more. Thoughts?

'Constructive' MTX Feedback: How a Construction Rework can introduce healthy MTX in a way that shows a direct relationship between selling MTX and improving the game.

Posted: 06 Jul 2018 04:18 PM PDT

I've been very passionate about a Construction Rework for a while not only because the skill is outdated and has so much wasted potential, but because I genuinely believe that a mindful rework could facilitate a new variety of MTX that are more harmonious with the players and the game itself. Take, for example, graphical reworks which are expensive, but if from that rework the MTX team is able to re-use the new assets to create purchasable furniture for PoHs, it creates a sort of feedback loop of players spending money on MTX and then seeing the game improve. It also makes the cost of producing MTX itself less expensive because you'd already be making the content, you'd just be repackaging it.

It would also demonstrate how by making gameplay rewarding, people would be more willing to pay in to customize their space. It's for this reason that Construction should not only be reworked on a technical level, but on a functional level so that players will want to spend a lot of their time there. In addition, by keeping the functional content locked behind gameplay (read: Cosmetic ONLY MTX), it would give players a reason to train so that the players who put in the effort can have an awesome AND functional PoH, while low level players can sill purchase cool stuff even if they don't want to grind for all the high-tier content.

In this way, it shows that Jagex are willing to put in the effort to improve the game before asking for money instead of taking Fortnight's MTX, slapping a RuneScape skin on it and saying "give us money now so we can maybe make good content in the future." It also wouldn't have the side-effect of essentially piling more MTX on top of MTX because on the surface, it would just be adding more items to Solomon's.

For a more detailed suggestion about the technical side of a Construction Rework, see this post.

Love your feedback, /u/JagexOsborne.

It is very hot in the UK atm and the MTX is obviously to fund AC and energy costs. Please calm down.

Posted: 06 Jul 2018 10:05 AM PDT

It is very reasonable request of them. I mean it's a known fact we can afford it, it's not like we complained about the $11 or the previous MTX increases. I think people are blowing this way out of proportion.
