The disaster on Horde Night

Posted: 06 Jul 2018 01:42 PM PDT

It was another typical horde night. Spikes were being laid, walls upgraded, when they came out of the rain. The hour is currently 21:06, a mere 54 minutes from the horde, and a roving band of 21 soldier zombies came upon my castle on one side, sure to weaken my defenses and pose a major threat. I'll update this if I survive the night...

Edit: The soldier and hazmat horde was taken out, but at what cost. The spikes are battered and bloodied; the walls crumbling. And just now the red moon rises and the ominous signaling of the blood horde has begun...

Edit: Holy shit I've always thought this was too easy so far, day 21 btw, and it's only been two hours and there's been 30+ zombies already. The wood spikes are gone, the log spikes are being constantly downgraded. Only 4 more hours of this hell

Edit: A lull in zombies has given some free time. Walls are being repaired, gore blocks plaster the spikes, covering them. But I dare not venture out there to replace the spikes...

Edit: Morning has come. Spikes must be relaid, weapons reloaded, and defenses heightened, for the next horde will not be so forgiving

I lived up to the "Minibikes For Dumbshits" book.

Posted: 06 Jul 2018 03:39 AM PDT

TL;DR: Ate popcorn, suffered by learning that bikes don't swim.

Recently just made my first minibike in my current world. Driving around, slowly returning to base, when I decide to go and grab a bit of popcorn with my right hand, the one steering my bike. Just as I did this, I accidentally ran into a cinder block in the road, causing my bike to turn completely off-course, sending me flying into the lake that the road was beside.

For those brief, 4 seconds of air-time, two things went through my head.

  1. I believe I can fly, by R. Kelly
  2. 'shit'

Landed in the water, managed to quickly disassemble my bike and swim to land. The only downside was a loss of 1% for the overall durability, thankfully. Never eating while driving again, scared the absolute hell outta me

FPS cap at 20-30. Need help

Posted: 06 Jul 2018 11:09 PM PDT

Hey guys,

So for a while now I ve been getting decreasing FPS on lowest possible settings (like bare bones minimum) and it's getting ridiculous. Gtx960, i7 and 16gb RAM and I cannot for the life of me figure out what's causing it.

Need some help, not enjoyable in RandomGen or Navezgame either.

Which spikes are best?

Posted: 06 Jul 2018 11:07 PM PDT

Im on PS4. Are wood spikes better than log spikes? I have about 5 rows of log spikes surrounding my entire base. I'm just wondering if wood spikes would be better.

On lowest settings I get 60fps on vanilla (8GB ram). Will I be able to play any of the mods at similar quality?

Start of my new base

I find it crazy that I need to read a schematic just to tape a goddamn flashlight to a gun.

Posted: 06 Jul 2018 10:57 AM PDT

I can understand needing to read up on how to assemble a gun, but even if I have a gun, tape, and a flashlight its a damn mystery. I've been doing this with toy guns since I was like 5. /rant

Player max

What's the max amount of people you can have on one game? It used to be a max of 4 is it still that way?

When exactly are dog pack days?

Posted: 06 Jul 2018 03:56 PM PDT

One person told me it starts on day 12 and is every 5 days after... Another person said that after day 12, it's 5 days after each bloodmoon horde day. Note: I'm on PS4

Ever wonder how many people play 7 Days to Die?

Posted: 06 Jul 2018 05:40 PM PDT

Late last month, there was a data leak from Steam that, long story short, allowed people to calculate how many actual people are playing about half the games on steam (all the ones that have Steam achievements).

For 7dtd, that number is 4,184,553 people. For a sense of scale, you can compare that to Left for Dead 2 at 23mil. I don't know what 7dtd's ASP is but it's easy to see that there should be pu-lenty of bags of cash for funding development. So maybe, uh, get on with that, Fun Pimps.

You can read all about it here if you are interested in more.

Quick Question

I have not played in over a year. I am wondering if the random generated worlds on console have been improved?

Looking for one or two others

Posted: 06 Jul 2018 09:28 AM PDT

I have a server at home, and on it is a 7d2d world. I just finished day 22, but it is boring doing it all by myself. Was hoping to have one or two other people join me. I don't get to play all too often, so this is more of a casual world thing, not pvp or whatever. Plus, being a dad means I have to sometimes just stop playing, but I try not to play while they are awake for that reason. I am more than willing to drop this world if there is good reason. Hit me up.

[Discussion] Anyone using a Ryzen 2200g?

Posted: 06 Jul 2018 05:37 AM PDT

I'm, trying to upgrade my wife's PC. She's currently using an X4 750K with an R9 270. Her experience isn't the best. It runs OK, just takes a while for the game to load.
I'm trying to bump her performance without spending too much.

I was thinking about doing a PS4 Twitch stream with a friend.

Posted: 06 Jul 2018 05:21 AM PDT

I was thinking about starting a Twitch stream today at 5pm CDT and was curious if anyone would be interested in watching. Me and my friend unfortunately play on PS4 which I am fully aware is not as good as PC. I've just had a craving to entertain people recently and thought starting a Twitch stream would be a good and easy outlet for that. Do you all have any thoughts or suggestions about this?

Hey everybody! I’m doing a PS4 Twitch stream on my channel!

Posted: 06 Jul 2018 09:52 AM PDT

This will be my first ever Twitch stream so I'm pretty excited about it! I'm sorry that it will be on PS4 instead of PC but I'm saving up money for a computer!

I'm not doing this to make any money out of it or anything and won't be pursuing this as a career option. I've just always loved to entertain people and haven't been able to for a long time and thought this would be a good outlet!

My stream will start at 5pm CDT on my channel CptnBo after I get off of work.

I should have a good friend of mine join me but he is sometimes flaky so we will see.

I hope to see some of you there!

Channel: CptnBo

Time: 5pm CST/CDT

Game: 7DTD (obviously)
