tldr: Please bring back 'space diapers' spartans dont look right without them

For years something didnt seem right with 343s spartan model, all through halo 4 and then into the early days of halo 5 i had no idea what it was, i just couldnt put my finger on it. Then i realised it was the groin armour that was missing!

This armour is Essential for the spartan model to look right

1. Artistically: It makes the spartan look heavier, bulkier, more militarised, something you would actually see on the battlefield.

2. Stylistically: It ties the spartan together, without it you have a big armourless void right in the middle of the spartan, a seperation of the armour, it looks hollow and substancless.

3. Realistically: We have the Femoral Arterys & Femoral Veins running through our groins, these are some of the biggest blood vessels in our body as they supply our legs, if these are damaged we will bleed out and die very very quickly! It makes no sense to have these unprotected even in spartans.

4. Examples: Example 1 and Example 2 Note i did not make these images, full credit goes to the original artists

If anything 343 atleast give us the option to toggle them on in armour customisation.

Ever since I was a kid, I didn't really like the "nonexistent" chemistry between Arbiter and the Master Chief.

I recently replayed Halo 3, and found out that it's actually there, and the chemistry is kinda funny. It goes from brief mistrust from the both of them, then really earning each other's trust. You can tell that Arbiter always trusted and kind of cared for the Master Chief. (Hell, Arby even went out of his way to save him from the flood at High Charity) He even attended his funeral when he "died" Showing how Arbiter had major character development from seeing Chief as a demon to seeing him as a friend.

I know Locke isn't everyone's favorite and I definitely want a chief focused game but I hope they play a decent role in the new game. I would be okay with Locke and arbiter being player 2 in campaign depending on the level while the spartan teams are in the story in some meaningful way. Idk if this is an unpopular opinion or not, I just think we shouldn't give up on them just yet.

(Hope it's cool to post this here, thought some old Halo 3 players might enjoy it)

A friend and I created a site (pointcheck.gg) that returns Bungie links for every Halo 3 game that two players played with or against each other. We initially made it to determine which one of us went the most positive in games played against each other in H3, but searching other combinations of players was such a nostalgia trip we thought we should share it.

It works like you'd expect: type in two gamertags and you'll get a list of all the games both players were in, complete with a Bungie link for detailed stats (and screenshots if any were taken in the game).

It's cool to see all the times you went +14 with Snipedown on your team in matchmaking, or revisit games you had with an old squad, or see if you ever beat Ninja in a Gamebattles match.

The one big limitation is due to the way Bungie stores games. You'll need to search the account's current gamertag, not what the tag was at the time the game was played. For example, if you did want to see if you beat Ninja in a GB 1v1, you'd have to search for what the person who bought his main Halo 3 gamertag changed it to, "T R ILI C K Y". We're working on adding a player directory with every pro player's known gamertags, but that shouldn't be a problem searching for your friends.

The first time you run a search on a particular gamertag could take up to 5 minutes (haven't seen more than 3 yet but YMMV) as it scrapes the player(s) game history pages from Bungie and stores them in a database. Any subsequent searches involving players already stored in the database will return much faster, usually less than 20 seconds depending on the amount of matched games.

Also, for some reason Bungie purged some stats from their game pages last week. After being available for 10 years, they removed individual flag cap, bomb plant, oddball time and hill time data from the details page. You can still see individual k/d/a and each team's flag caps, hill time etc. if you click over to the 'Carnage' tab at the top, so when you run into this orange text be aware that it's not entirely true.
