Found this scared dude in Cologne

Met 3 squeakers last night and my hope was renewed for the next generation of gamers.

Posted: 11 Jul 2018 06:36 AM PDT

I (PL 84 - Twine) dropped into Stonewood last night on the PS4 to wrap up 3 dailies that I haven't had time to complete. Three kids maybe 10-12 years old were discussing the level difference in guns and how they scale etc. They weren't discussing trading, they were just farming and BSng around. They acknowledged my presence when I started building around the objective but not once did they ask me for anything or beg for weapons or a taxi.

When the balloon dropped, two of the three helped defend, while the 3rd was AFK because his mom made him get a shower.

Since they helped and didn't beg, I dropped all of the silver I was stupidly hoarding. One of the kids asked me if that was for them because he didn't want to steal. I said go ahead and that I had a gift for each of them. I dropped 3 lvl 82 Nocturnos and they were over the f'n moon. They had never used them and were legitimately happy to have them. They thanked me and were anticipating what their friend would say when he got back. I dropped 3 Gravediggers as well and they couldn't stop thanking me. What got me was one kid saying "this is why this community is so awesome, high level players giving back to the community." I never imagined I would hear that from a kid. Wherever you are guys, keep it up and you'll go far.

TL/DR Squeakers played the game correctly, got rewarded for it and were super thankful as well as respectful.

We need an option to report low level players that join high level missions

Posted: 11 Jul 2018 01:02 PM PDT

This issue is even worse now with the changes to Group Missions. WE shouldn't have to put in extra work because YOU think you're good enough to participate in a mission you're clearly under-leveled for.

"Utility items" should be overhauled into a new schematic category: Consumables

Posted: 11 Jul 2018 02:32 PM PDT

As I'm sure most people agree, the "utility" items like Impulse grenades, Roman Candles, Stink bombs and Remote explosives suck. They need to be overhauled badly to be useful in any meaningful fashion.

They're hard to find because there are so many different types, the odds of you finding Impulse grenades are slim to none. They drop in incredibly low amounts so even if you do find them odds are they won't make any impact in your mission. They need to be equipped like a weapon taking up one of your three weapon slots, I mean who is going to stop and equip a utility item that you have only two uses for and then be forced to re-equip their gun afterwards? Plus they don't persist between missions, so even if you wanted to farm them so they could be used in some form, you can't they vanish. Even though M80s and Roman Candles used to persist after matches... A change that cost many of us stacks of them.

To change this and make them useful, I'd like to see a new schematic category for consumable items. These could cover a wide variety of things anywhere from throwables to healing items.

Imagine being able to craft 10 impulse grenades at any time and actually save your objective by pushing back a wave of Husks while your teammates are down. Or throwing a few Stink bombs down the kill tunnel to strangle some huskes who have to much health and are making through. On the other side they could add health packs and shield potions like in Battle Royale, that allow you to supplement your regen and health stations on the fly. They could even take it a step further and give them perks, healing amount and heal duration for potions. Radius for throwables, the possibilities are there.

Things that already exist should be added such as: Roman Candles, M80S, Clingers, Stink Bombs, Port-a-Forts, Remote Explosives, Impulse grenades.

New things they could add: Health packs, Bandages, Shield Potions, Molotovs, AOE healing grenades, Cryo grenades, Snare grenades, etc.

I just feel in their current state utility items are worthless, hand-me-downs from Battle Royale that in no way help Save the World as trash loot found randomly in crates, boxes and garbage cans.

Tomorrow is a new season so don't forget these updates!

Posted: 11 Jul 2018 12:56 PM PDT

- Add 4th and 5th weapon slot

- Shorter time for mounting hoverboard (make it the same as collecting BluGlo)

- On console fix the Builder Pro bug

- On PC make 'C' or 'Esc' act as 'Collect All' when opening chests and quests

- Add a Daily Store with more frequent common items like re-perks and perk-ups

- Make emote dances bought/unlocked in BR available in STW

- Buy more and better servers to improve stability and heavy loads

If I forgot something just add it here with a comment.

Thanks!

What I do in my spare time ;)

Posted: 11 Jul 2018 09:14 AM PDT

There's 104 days of summer vacation

And school comes along just to end it

So the annual problem for our generation

Is finding a good way to spend it

Like maybe...

Launching a rocket

Or fighting a husky

Or climbing up the Stormshield tower

Discovering a gun that doesn't exist (Hey!)

Or giving a Wukong a shower

Scamming some noobs

Creating farming bots

Or locating an AFK's brain (It's nowhere!)

Finding A good match

PL 5 in Twine Peaks

Or driving your constructor insane (Stop takin' my BASE's mats!)

As you can see

There's a whole lot of stuff to do

Before F2P starts this fall (Free 2 Play)

So stick with us 'cause This sub is

Gonna do it all

So stick with us 'cause Epic games are

Aren't gonna do much

Epic! Carbide and Love Ranger are AFKing again!

Time for a new cache?

Posted: 11 Jul 2018 04:49 AM PDT

We currently have 2 types of caches with one having 3 rarities, Evolution Material Caches & Schematic Caches.

But what if we had a Perk Up Cache with the inclusion of Perk-Up! & Fire/Frost/Amp-Up! has further increased the need to grind for end-game content?

It could have around 20-100 Perk-Up! & 10-30 of each elemental ups inside.

Thoughts?

Account Hacked How? No Explanation

Posted: 11 Jul 2018 07:59 PM PDT

My Epic Games account was hacked even though I've never shared my password or account information. The hacker changed my username and most likely account holder first and last name. In spite of everything that's happened, I tried to be optimistic and created a new epic account and linked it to the SAME EMAIL not realizing it replaced the older account linked.

Learn from my mistake, enable 2FA, make sure to keep your account extra secure with complicated/sophisticated passwords. Use tools such as LetPass to generate extremely safe passwords for you.

I've contacted Epic numerous times through email, discord, reddit, and Twitter with nothing but automated responses. One prompted me to provide account username, account holder name, and currently attached email even though I clearly stated how that information has been altered.

I understand Epic has their hands full but some kind of legitimate response would make me feel a lot better but with the way things are going, I feel as if my account is lost for good.

Help me get this post seen so that people may update their accounts and prevent this from happening, and if this does happen they may refrain from making the same mistakes I have in hopes to recover the accounts we all spend hours and money on!
