Skyshards, Lorebooks (Regional) & Breaches guide for console users

Hey guys,

I recently came back to ESO and I am really enjoying it the adventure. I want my magblade to be a do-it-all character, so I have started gathering all the skyshards, lorebooks (regional set) and breaches. As I am a console user I have made som maps from dulfys skyshard & lorebooks and alcasthq breaches guide, so I can add some of the maps I have here. They are made quite shitty in paint, but it is so that you can have one map and a route that I used (met som moutains on the route, beware). If they get popular, I can try and upload the rest when I have them available.

Good news Jewel crafters!

We've heard your concerns about Jewelry Crafting, and we've been working on a few changes to help address them. The change to the value of Master Writs was a big part of those changes, but it isn't the only part – or even the biggest! We'd like to inform you of some of the changes we're currently working on for Jewelry Crafting.

  • First, we've noticed that some players will leave Blacksmithing resources alone in their search for more Jewelry Crafting materials – which can result, in the long run, in a zone having too few Jewelry Crafting Seams for players to find. To help alleviate this, in an upcoming PTS patch, we'll be adding a small amount of Jewelry Crafting raw material to some (but not all) Blacksmithing ore nodes. Not only will this encourage players to harvest both Blacksmithing and Jewelry Crafting resources, it will also result in more Jewelry Crafting Dust being mined overall (as we are not affecting the yield of existing Jewelry Crafting Seams at all).
  • Second – and this is the big one – in an upcoming PTS patch, we'll be significantly reducing the number of Platings it takes to upgrade a piece of Jewelry. At maximum rank in Platings Expertise, it will take you only a single Terne Plating to upgrade a ring from White to Green, and it will take only 4 Chromium Platings to upgrade a ring from Purple to Gold – both of which are half of what it takes currently on Live.

With these changes, we aim to make the experience of obtaining Jewelry Crafting materials, upgrading Rings and Necklaces, and completing Jewelry Crafting Master Writs more enjoyable and economically beneficial. They should arrive on PTS sometime soon – and be included in the final Live release of the Wolfhunter DLC pack.

Healer fail followed by player success

I was doing a random dungeon I've never done before I got lost and died. Our tank left. I felt like the worst healer ever. I find a replacement tank and we finish the dungeon and everyone except one guy leaves instantly. I realized I had to backtrack to turn in the quest. I already had my trophy and was going to just leave it alone until a see a level 18 running to turn in his. We ended up battling a minor boss on the way. He was so grateful just to be able to finish a quest without everyone running off.

Titles you wish existed

Thread. Some ones I wish I could use: something along the lines of healer: x the Healer (idk... heal x mil health in trials?) x the Grand Healer (ibid) x the Sage (maybe from a quest where you heal)

or other random things.

x the brutal victorious x the veteran (complete all vet content) x the investor (spend over 1 mill on guild stores)

You have any ideas you want to share? :)

Don't let them take Ward of Cyrodiil away!

Hi all, this is the worse news I've heard since I came back to the game.

Who else is in love with the Mounted Speed bonus, from the 3-piece Ward of Cyrodiil set? It's scheduled to be taken away from us, according to the set notes on the Public Test Server! They're keeping the set, and replacing it entirely with buffs from another set, which add nothing new to gameplay.

There are so few buffs that work with Mounts. The Steed doesn't even work with mounts. Give us a break! Medium armor bonuses don't work with mounts. Fiord's and Darkstride don't work with mounts. Nothing works with mounts. Except Ward of Cyrodiil, Rapid Maneuver, and two CP bonuses that both require 120 points in a sign. Taking one of those four precious things away, really shoots the horse in the head!

I spend a lot of time in this game, racing my spider around, and running timed races. For someone who is racing around every day on their mount, this is like nerfing the mount speed upgrade down to 45, instead of 60. It's a huge 15% bonus, they're permanently taking away from the game. This is reducing the speed of movement we can currently achieve in the game, by 15%.

Don't let them do this! This is horrible. It was not only the best 3-piece bonus in the game, it was one of the most important set bonuses in the entire game, because nothing else does what it did (unlike most set bonuses).

If they're worried about mounted speed in a new Battlegrounds, they can remove the set function on that map. They don't have to take one of mounted riding's 4 precious buffs in the entire frackin' game!!!

Let your voice be heard. This is horrible.

Edit: They can increase the mounted speed buff for Wind Running to 18%. There is a lot they can do instead of just remove riding joy from the game. Wind Running is expensive, requiring you to sacrifice many other highly desired CP bonuses to hit 120 in The Lover. Also, for someone who races their mount, to get both the relevant CP bonuses of War Mount and Wind Running, even more sacrifices have to be made in the Thief constellation, requiring you to completely exclude The Shadow (Fortune Seeker, Merchant Favored, Treasure Hunter).

Please, leave the bonus where it is, put it on another set, replace it with an equivalent Wind-Running buff, or anything. Just destroying game features which are already piecemeal scraps but which are being used by players daily, is not a great way to proceed forward.

How do buffs affect damage over time effects?

Lets say I cast Liquid lightning and then switch bars. One of my bars has magelight and one doesn't. When the spell does damage, does it consider the bar I am currently on, or the bar I had on when I cast the spell? I guess the ultimate question is, should I have AOE/damage over time skills on the same bar as the buff, or have buffs on the bar I spend more time on?

Cosmetic Motifs

I've been lucky enough to come across a few motifs in my levelling experience such as a few of the Dark Brotherhood Motifs and some racial ones.

When I reach max-level I do plan to craft myself a full end-game armour set and have been trying my best to level crafting as I go but I'm not that bothered about the appearance of a set as thus far, I've always used costumes for my appearance.

Are these motifs I have found purely cosmetic? If so, should I just sell them for profit rather than keep them for myself?

Trial monster masks

Why can't we have these? It would let ZoS release monster sets more often, instead of just with every Dungeon pack.

They could go back and add monster sets for the existing trials, refreshing interest in them and inspiring players into joining veteran trials for the first time.

There are enough cool creatures not yet visualised as a monster set to theme the masks around:

  • Sanctum Ophidia: Mantikora.

  • Hel Ra Citadel: Welwa, Sand Warrior.

  • Aetherian Archives: Stone Atronach.

  • Maw of Lorkaj: Grievous Twilight (Rakkhat is one).

  • Halls of Fabrication: Dwarven Colossus (Assembly General is one).

  • Asylum Sanctorium: Saint Olms.

  • Cloudrest: Shadow Gryphon, Sload.

I wonder why they aren't a thing yet. The Undaunted literally aid you during several of these trials. Has ZoS ever said anything about it?

[EU]Interested in ESO RP

Hello All,

I'm looking for ways to spend more of my time in the game besides grinding for motifs/gold/gear. I've always been interested in RP, but have never done it myself. I've watched some RP'ers from a distance on some occasions and some stories were really fascinating.

I'm a total noob in RP and I will need to learn the basics but I would love to get into it. Lorewise I'm fine, I think, I have always been interested in the Elder Scrolls lore and have seen/read a lot of it.

Do you guys have some tips on how to get started? How should I prepare myself? Any suggestions where to look for RP'ers in game or maybe even a guild suggestion? I've read that Riften is a popular place for RP, but haven't seen anyone there yet since I started actively looking for it.

All advice is welcome :)

Is DPS Tank DK (or any other class) possible?

Hi, I recently got my first character (Tank DK) in ESO to 160 CP and still learning the game. I have been doing lot of normal dungeons as Tank and noticed that my DPS is very low. The DPS add on says I do about 10% damage on bosses. Is there any way to increase my DPS without sacrificing too much tanking ability please?

I come from other MMO such as WoW and EQ2, which allows tanks do lot of damage in normal dungeons and sometimes get closer to top DPS classes. Is this possible in ESO?

I don't plan to do hardest dungeon in this game just yet. So far my plan is to do normal dungeons and easy to middle vet dungeons.

Maybe I am playing the wrong class for being DPS Tank? May be other classes are more suited to this?

Need help witk K'tora

I am currently using a lvl48 DK tank and have been gotten stuck on K'tora for about 2 hours.

10 in magika, 22 in health, 27 in stam currently.

I have tried using bow, sword+shield, 2H, dual wield and all failed.

Any recommendations?

What is the point of raising the CP cap with every new piece of content?

Is there a stated purpose for this? Is it just to "reward" the long-time players to get them to feel like there is still progression for them? I mean I think I'm CP 1005 or something at this point, I don't continue to play to be at CP cap.

I know that they also made the CP be on quite a curve so that CP 450 these days is barely any different than CP 750, which is good... I don't see why they would want to continue a power creep.

Would a lot of people quit playing the game if ZoS said "Thats it. CP 800 is the cap forever"? I guess I should also ask, since I don't play other MMOs, do other games have this cap level raising thing going on too?

[Question] Should I try Battlegrounds?

So, I'm a new player, 35 lvl sorcerer, playing as a pure dps. I've seen that Battlegrounds give lots of xp, but here's my issue: I play on an old laptop, on potato mode (graphics on minimum), my internet connection in not that good (has its moments) and so I frequently get latency spikes, freezes, and lagging that can truly test one's patience, especially in populated areas.It has caused me to get kicked out of dungeons multiple times and I feel like I need to explain my situation every time to any random teammates, and let them decide if they want to keep playing with me.

Should I try diving into Battlegrounds? Cause I feel like its a bit more serious than random dungeons and I'm gonna ruin the experience for every poor soul that gets teamed with me.

Anyway to actually get into contact with ESO customer support? It's been 11 days.

So I made a request to ZOS customer service, I didn't expect much to come of it, but they actually responded! On my birthday no less, unfortunately I couldn't respond until the fourth day. Well, I have been unable to get customer service to respond for 11 days, all methods of attempting to get into contact have just led to automated responses and tickets being flagged as duplicates. So, anyone know how to get a hold of a customer support representative?

Problem with petrify

I have a problem with petrify on my dk, it's supposed to be unblockable and undodgeable stun and while it does indeed work on monsters it can't be casted on players in pvp, no matter how close or far I am to them. I tried it in bgs and on a dummy and it doesn't let me cast it. I haven't tried any of its morphs yet because I'm not using it since it doesn't work.

But well I guess it can't be blocked or dodged if you can't cast it at all
