They still cost $0.99 to participate, however is FREE for Dota Plus Members (more details: https://www.dota2.com/plus). Posted: 30 Jun 2018 05:36 AM PDT Usually when someone was forced to random last pick, because they are afk or disconnected, they would receive an abandon and the game would be safe to leave. But now they are only given the random hero and not the abandon, making these games no longer safe to leave. This happened yesterday during Arteezy's stream. Him and his team were surprised as well. People who afk abandon should be immediately kicked from the game and forced to abandon Posted: 29 Jun 2018 11:19 PM PDT I don't understand why an afk abandon is the same as an abandon, but you can't use their hero. When a player afk abandons, they should be immediately booted from the game and not allowed to rejoin. Also, I think they should be an immediate 24 hour ban (that might be too harsh), but something. If they need to go do something, that's cool, just abandon or disconnect. I decided to try to make a set of dark elements and use a cold red color. This resulted in a cosmetic set that interprets a wonder-woman or captain marvel. Valve surely has weird approvals for treasures Posted: 29 Jun 2018 08:34 PM PDT I frequently visit the workshop especially when there are very interesting upcoming treasures. I got curious as to which sets were submitted for this year's ti since I didn't get to do that this year. I looked up the "[TI8]" submissions and noticed that there are weird things going on (not that this is a new thing now). The Ultra Rare Gyro that we got for this year's cache is considerably not famous at all among the entries submitted by the content creators, yet, it was accepted for the cache and even got the Ultra Rare status. There's this really good Magnus, OD, Veno (which definitely looks better than the one which was accepted), Viper, and Night Stalker set. Instead, we get to have the not so special looking, Veno, WD (another WD set despite having one last year already), Invo and PA (this is kind of acceptable because it baits money for the players), the crystallized Spirit Breaker, Dark Seer, and a blue re-color of what Pangolier has by default. Yes, Valve did add a few ambient effects here and there for Gyro to give it a little more charm but, I thought the purpose of the community workshop was to vote for the popular ones to see which of them should make it into the game. I guess, this is just a proof that Valve just really wants to do what it wants whenever they want to. I mean seriously, there are tons of really famous sets or items in the workshop that are still yet to be accepted for the game despite having so much votes already (it has been years for some famous ones). There's also this really good looking Shadow Fiend set among the submissions :( the really good Obsidian Avenger Juggernaut set which could easily be one of the rare sets if Valve wanted to. It's kind of hard to find the point in voting for these when Valve still has the final say in everything. I kind of understand that they are the ones who will decide it ultimately but it feels like it defeats the purpose of community voting if the items that the community truly wants won't ever make it into the game for some unknown reasons. submitted by /u/aeronybrek0 [link] [comments]
