| Crusader Akkhan set feels weird to me Posted: 08 Jul 2018 09:55 PM PDT (Console, to prevent confusion) So, I recently spent a disgusting amount of blood shards and DBs gearing up my Condemn Akkhan Crusader in the hopes that she'd be pretty fun to play. She's... not. It's not Zuni WD levels of clunky, but it's still kinda weird. I get that the Akkhan set is meant to be generic so that you can run it with basically anything. But it feels... idk. Restrictive at the same time? I'm looking at other sets. Like Helltooth WD, UE DH, Nat DH, Invoker Crusader, SWK Monk. They all come with damage reduction that isn't restricted to a transformation based on cooldown. Which, by the way, holy hard to gear. 56% CDR is kind of insanely annoying to get without Leoric's Crown. Anyways, it's kind of annoying to lose Akkarat's Champion for like 1.5 seconds and then die or trigger Indestructible. The other sets have easy to meet survival requirements. WD? Maintain Soul Harvest. DH? Maintain a distance (with an 8 second warning) or pop RoV. Monk? It's basically permanent with Kyo's Soul. Oh, and resource management. Holy resource management. As far as I can tell, no one builds the Wrath regen stat on Akkhan, so you run out of it pretty fast, even with a low CD Provoke. Granted, I could just be an idiot here and assuming that you're only supposed to Condemn elites or big packs, but come on. It's kind of silly. Beyond that, it seems like Crusader has some survivability issues. Other classes have ways to survive beyond the basic damage reduction of their set. DH has Visage of Gune and Wraps of Clarity. WD has Lakumba (and Transcendence with Zuni). Crusader has... nothing other than the 50% from Akkhan's. Prophet rune is a thing, but the fact that you have to rely on a cheat death every 20 seconds is really weird. At least Invoker Crusader has Bombardment triggering damage reduction + Akkhan's. Which is nice, but still can't compare. They have blocking, I suppose, but your block amount isn't that high and it's also a % chance to happen, unlike damage reduction which is consistent as long as you meet the generally easy requirements. At first, I thought the game really is that dead but then I thought about how popular D3 YouTube videos can still be. So.. where is everyone?! This release brings two Classic D2 mechanics into the Expansion, Classic Shield Blocking, and Whirlwind. What this means is the following: - Dexterity to no longer is taken into account when it comes to your shield block. | Posted: 08 Jul 2018 07:26 AM PDT Installed a fresh d2 with blizz cd key on win10. Game launches in 1.14b. When I try to connect to bnet i get "Unable to identify version". I run a patch tool and update to 1.14d but nothing changes. I also launch in comp mode (Win XP-3) and as administrator. I've tried reinstalling the game from scratch but no success. I've never had this problem before and googling does not help SOLVED! I purged the d2 registry and reinstalled. | Posted: 08 Jul 2018 09:24 AM PDT I've been having a very difficult time finding a group to play with in 4's, US. Was hoping maybe someone could help me out with some tips to find a meta group. I've never pushed in diablo before this season so I don't know many players the ones I do know are relatively casual. I've tried using the in game communities but it seems wizards are not in high demand. My wiz is very geared in both Tal Rasha and Firebird (full ancient well itemized, several primals and 500int augments in every slot for both sets, I'm around 1450 paragon and my gems are 110). I've hovered at rank 3-10 on the leaderboard on solo push (highest is 109 solo). I did a 107 in a public game but I was using my tal rasha set and I'd really like to see what I can do in spact. I'd really like to experience the harder higher level 4 man grifts - any advice on how to find people to play with? [link] [comments]  | ||
