Pinging your EXP bar is too hard.

Posted: 12 Jun 2018 05:41 AM PDT

I think everyone here has had this moment at least once or twice per game.

You are almost leveled up, and you want to say that you need just 1 or 2 more minions before you level up. You want to ping your exp bar but because it is only a few pixels wide you end up mis clicking and sometimes that can cause you to do move commands to places you don' want to go.

Is there any better way to ping your EXP-progress or maybe riot can slightly increase the hitbox of the exp-ping area to also include the border perhaps?

it would be a great quality of life addition!

[THEORY] I think the new Aatrox just might be a DARKIN

Posted: 12 Jun 2018 08:45 AM PDT

Okay so I know it sounds crazy, and I also know that everytime a champion looks slightly corrupted, people always say they're Darkins, but just bear with me for a second because I've got a lot of compelling arguments.

We know that darkins have a symbiotic relationship with the wielder, and they sometimes manage to corrupt humans entirely, gaining control of the host. They might even be able to make a body of their own.

In both the Champion teaser and the Champion trailer, Aatrox seems to have a lot of control over his blade, as if he had the same symbiotic relationship that exists between a darkin (the weapon) and the wielder or host.
Some people will have noticed, too, that in the teaser, his sword seems to beat like a heart, almost suggesting that it's living. It also looks a lot like the general appearance of Aatrox himself.

But that's not all, right in the teaser's description, Riot wrote:

Death and dust choke the air as a shadow takes shape. It is more ancient and evil than war. And it is growing.

Reminds you of anything? Darkins are both evil AND ancient! It also seems to indicate how Darkins that manage to escape the prison (the weapon) need to create a body, he could be doing exactly that, as suggested by "...takes shape." and "...And it is growing."

Right, okay, that doesn't necessarily mean he's a Darkin, but I saved some of the most compelling evidence for the end:

Here's what you can find in the league of legends wikia with a bit of digging, on the Darkins page.
It seems to indicate that Aatrox is in fact a Darkin, although that can be easily invalidated because, well, the wikia is crowdsourced and so it's not official. And mostly, that was written before Aatrox's rework was even announced. But still.

Anyway, here's where things get really interesting.

Here's a screenshot from the Aatrox Champion Teaser, posted by Riot games THEMSELVES.

In case you didn't see it. It's RIGHT IN THE TITLE ! Hidden in plain sight! Riot's done it again !
They used the word Darkin. Right in the Aatrox Champion Teaser Title. Now that's a hell of a coincidence, isn't it? That's what I thought too, but with all of the other evidence, we can assume that maybe it's not a coincidence and we finally know who is the 3rd Darkin!

That was all guys, tell me what you think, I know it's a bit far fetched but I really want to believe.

Can I just say, the ARAM changes are beautiful.

Posted: 11 Jun 2018 11:33 PM PDT

I am a more casual player. I usually play some ARAM after work with friends, so these changes most likely impacted my experience more than most. I had probably 25 keys after the end of last season, and got very few chests. Now I already have four unopened chests in my loot. That probably would have taken months to do last season. Also, the new reroll system. Is. Awesome. Granted there are some minor problems, like the oranges being hard to see sometimes. However, it is very refreshing to see some improvement in the ARAM experience.

This meta might just become the most fun to watch for professional games

Posted: 12 Jun 2018 04:40 AM PDT

We haven't seen many professional games with the new meta, but there's already been a ton of champion diversity as well as play style diversity. And as we see more and more teams play I think we'll see even more diversity in what teams are bringing to the table. It seems like every game will have the potential to be a hype match-up purely due to what team comps are picked.

Now I don't think Riot has fully hit the mark on making the game enjoyable for both professional and casual play. I fully understand the complaints from those of you who are trying their hardest to climb but can't figure out what is best in the meta due to the volume of changes. That being said, I think this is a step in the right direction. If Riot can find a happy medium where they aren't drastically changing the game as often, but simultaneously keeping the professional scene fun to watch with more diverse picks, I think the game as a whole can become more enjoyable.

Stop using Kayle ult like Tryndamere ult

Posted: 11 Jun 2018 11:08 PM PDT

Seriously, I see this way too often. People play Kayle, and when they or a teammate are about to die, they pop ult - AFTER being burst down by the enemy Twitch or Annie. Intervention PREVENTS damage from being done, there is no point of using it after the enemy did like 90% of his damage already, you will die nonetheless. Of course it's not always easy to time it correctly, e.g. vs Annie, but just having in mind to pop it BEFORE the enemy unloads all their cooldowns on you will increase your chances of winning a fight tremendously.

This post is for open discussion, please keep it civil.

Edit: There has been a lot of controversy about this post, so let me clear some things up.

Firstly, of course you can use it to "bait" people, however, you won't even get close to the amount of chances to do this than situantions where using it the intended way. You will simply have more occasions where preventing a bunch of damage will result in success.

Secondly, people keep saying it's good with last stand. However, the occasions where it's effective with last stand are even slimmer since you only have 3 seconds in which you deal 11% more damage. What's will result in more damage, 3 seconds with 11% damage with almost certain death afterwards, or dishing out triple the amount of autoattacks because you still have 2k hp after the ult ends?

GRF vs HLE had 91,100 viewers at one point.

Posted: 12 Jun 2018 05:44 AM PDT

Quite an achievement considering these two teams aren't well known.

The games were fun to watch too with a lot of fights.

I'd say that Riot shaking up the meta is a good thing.

Edit: Stats from Youtube and Afreeca are 14kish and 30kish...

Totalling 135,100!

This is LCS Finals-tier.
