Destiny Summer Showdown - Season 4, Challenge 1: Straight Cache, Homie!

Posted: 26 Jun 2018 10:39 AM PDT

It's summertime in the Northern Hemisphere now, and in the dog days of Summer, things on reddit can get cool while it heats up outside, so we're gonna make it red hot on /r/DestinyTheGame

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the fourth season of Destiny Summer Showdown!

It's incredible to think that we're in our fourth year of this summertime event on the subreddit.

Some of your youngins might not know what this is.

Destiny Summer Showdown is a series of competitions held on the subreddit each summer to determine the best of the best in the DestinyReddit community.

Previous years have seen me challenge you to...

Well... NEW YEAR, NEW CHALLENGES, AND NEW REWARDS!

As usual, we will have the EXCLUSIVE Destiny Summer Showdown winners' flair, Regal, as a prize, but we're also adding Masterwork Regal flair to the site for people who win with Masterwork Conditions satisfied! Some challenges will have these special conditions that grant the even more exclusive and not yet revealed Masterwork Regal flair (okay, it's just Regal with a Masterwork border), but not all of them will.

Got it?

Ready for the first challenge?

Challenge #1: Straight Cache, Homie!

Entry Deadline: July 3rd at 10am Pacific

Rules:

  1. Race through ANY Lost Sector and open the cache
  2. You must be recording the attempt and share the footage from YouTube or Twitch clips in the comments with your time from Zone Change (seeing the Lost Sector name on the screen) to Cache opening
  3. Fastest time wins, no matter the Lost Sector
  4. There will be winners for solo and group efforts, as well as PC and console. Please identify solo or group and PC or console in your entry. If you're in a group, the player who opens the cache must be the person recording from beginning to end.

MASTERWORK CONDITION:

In order to claim the Masterwork prize, you must have FULL (5x) Renown active the entire run and be the fastest Masterwork Condition contestant.

Ready?

GO!

Only entries may go as top level comments. If you have questions or comments about the contest itself, respond to my Meta comment.

Update:

After review by the mod team, we have decided that there will be separate winners for console and PC, due to Titan skating on PC. So, to review: Solo - PC, Solo - Console, Group - PC, and Group - Console, with potential for Masterwork winners in each category. Minimum of four winners, maximum of eight.

Ability Cooldowns Are Too Slow

Posted: 26 Jun 2018 05:58 AM PDT

Currently, abilities just charge way too slowly. On Hunters, for instance, base grenade cooldowns are 1 minute and 23 seconds, and the base melee cooldown is 1 minute and 36 seconds. That is just way too much time to be spending waiting for my abilities (the stuff that makes this game as cool as it is) to come back. In D1, with Tier 5 Dis/Str, I could get my Grenade/Melee back in 25 seconds. That is exciting and really makes me feel like the space wizard I'm supposed to be.

A lot of people may shudder in fear because of the whole Fusion grenade fiasco from the end of D1, but grenades as a whole have been neutered in terms of damage anyway. You can't kill a guardian with a grenade anymore, so why was this cooldown nerfed so hard? Bungie should be embracing the abilities that make this game as fun as it is, not slowing it down and restricting our play.

Personally, I'd love to see the return of the Intellect/Discipline/Strength system (along with another stat for class ability cooldowns) now that mods are getting an overhaul and likely will not be functioning as they did in Year 1. They both give an exciting reason to go for armor drops (going for Tier 12, or whatever the new Min/Max will be) and can speed up these cooldowns considerably. They also let you prioritize the abilities you wanted to use. I really liked using my Supers, so I was always prioritizing Intellect even on Nightstalker, whereas a lot of other Nightstalkers prioritized their grenades and melees (sidenote, pls let Tether kill on impact again). Just keep the base cooldowns as they are now, and allow people to speed them up with these stats.

EDIT: Seeing a lot of comments about how the Mods basically "fix" this, but even with Mods I still think the cooldowns are too slow. For example, even with all 3 Grenade mods (which btw you can only get on a single subclass per class: Arc for Hunter, Void for Warlock and Solar for Titan), your Grenade cooldown would still be considered slow in D1. For Hunters with 3 Arc Grenade Mods, I believe the cooldown goes to 46 seconds. This is almost double Tier 5 Discipline from D1, and you didn't have to worry about specific subclass grenades and you didn't have to give up all other armor perks to get it.

Here's a link to what Cooldown Mods actually give you: https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/8f2h8q/legendary_mods_spreadsheet_i_made_for_the/?st=JIVU4Z6L&sh=f1707fad courtesy of /u/hermitish

The rushed grind from faction rally doesn't feel fun. It feels like I'm being kept from enjoying the game at my own pace.

Posted: 26 Jun 2018 07:50 AM PDT

I have to devote every second of free time I have for an entire week just to get the rewards.

It's not fun, it's stressful.

When I come home from school and work I don't want to have to stress more than I already have. I want to relax and enjoy the game at my own pace.

I still put a lot of time into the game, but in no way should I be forced to rush through it all.

This isn't about me complaining that the rewards are too long of a grind. It's about the time frame we have to complete it in.

Someone may spend a whole day grinding to get every reward from the event as soon as they can, and that's fine, play how you want.

But if I want to put the same amount of time into the game, I should be allowed to put that time in regardless of what week I did it.

Factions shouldn't be timegated. It's not a fun mechanic and it makes the game harder to enjoy.

Edit: Apparently it isn't clear. I am not asking to lower the grind. I want the grind to be available at all times so I can jump on the game when I have time and grind for what I want.

3 Reasons FWC should win

Posted: 26 Jun 2018 06:53 AM PDT

tl;dr vote FWC if you a OG guardian

1) Sunshot catalyst

2) Keep Ishtar Commander Edit 4: I've just learned the ishtar threat was not a joke, so... Sorry for correcting all y'all who I corrected.

3) We'll finally get to hear the last line of dialogue in the game (FWC victory dialogue)

4) next faction rally let's you buy armor directly, so you can grind that cool NM ornament without having to worry about RNG

5) Sweet business catalyst is mediocre (sunshot is 0.1% better imo)

6) FWC hasn't won a single rally

7) It's right next to DO (so when you instinctually go there, you don't have to run across the tower to get to NM)

8) Elsie Bray · X = Exo Stranger, X = FWC

9) Wormwood (aka insect timber)

10) if you haven't gotten the graviton catalyst, grind for tokens but don't turn it in till victory week. That way you can get the catalyst (next week) without giving DO another victory

11) Pledge to FWC for No Time To Explain

12) victory weapon looks cool

13) something about FWC that I can't come up with right now but have to put here bc i committed too far into this joke

Edit: added 10 more reasons (up from 3). Maybe a season 2 if I get enough upvotes lol

Edit 2: how do mobile formatting (?)

Edit 3: added reason 10. Revised reasons 9 and 12

You can claim things you may have missed last faction without re-pledging!

Posted: 26 Jun 2018 10:07 AM PDT

For example: I pledged New Monarchy last time and didn't have the Sweet Business. Now I got the Sweet Business and it let me go claim the Catalyst without pledging to NM again, and I can go pledge to another Faction.

Update: It's been 9 weeks and Tess hasn't sold a single Warmind shader

Posted: 26 Jun 2018 10:12 AM PDT

Bungie it's time to address this. Is it a bug or is Tess never going to sell them? Don't give me this "Tess' inventory is RNG" bullshit excuse. Not ONE SINGLE WARMIND shader has been available for bright dust in 9 weeks.

EDIT: It's been 8 weeks, not 9.

Bungie, here's how ornamented gear should look like in the inventory screen

Posted: 26 Jun 2018 03:45 AM PDT

Title.

For illustration purposes, I only equipped ornaments on the Helmet, Leg Armor, and Titan Mark— as well as the Tractor Cannon.

EDIT: I see some people mentioning that this could be confused with the DLC logos. I thought so too, at first.

Then I remembered— Crimson Days and Dawning have their own logos as well. I think if people don't confuse those with DLC logo, they wouldn't confuse the ornament logo, especially since it's a much more recognizable logo than logos for Dawning and Crimson Days.

I'm sure the playerbase would get used to it fairly quickly, and not confuse it with a DLC logo.

Bungie if you want us to buy your year 2 annual pass please be more clear about content you will be providing ,this ambiguity is gonna hurt you in long term

Posted: 25 Jun 2018 08:47 PM PDT

Topic. So if you want me to buy 80 USD pass for year two stuff i have a right to know what I will be getting in xchange.A detail road map of year two should be provided.Give us tentative release date/week of expansions along with stuff we can expect.Currently the description is all but ambiguous.Just adding "and more" won't help.
Edit: I see a lot of confusion regarding annual pass and forsaken .I am obviously talking abt both and that cost does include forsaken without which u can't own annual pass.
Edit 2: I don't know why people are hating the post and supporting Bungie .I don't know about you guys but Bungie has done enough damage to game and this post is becoz of that only, we are full circle to destiny 1.we are again and again being bluffed by bungie when it comes to content delivery (do u still believe CoO was worth money ). Bungie release beta product in year 1 ,hold good content for year 2 and get praise.Even if the forsaken dlc is good that wont justify the year one failure. Those who are pre ordering pass go ahead but believe me you are partly responsible for the state the game is in.

Faction Rally Challenges, Renown, and Ornaments Guide

Posted: 26 Jun 2018 05:11 AM PDT

I wanted to compile information to help people plan their Faction grinding this week. Prepare for a wall of text!

How many tokens do I need to get that sweet catalyst, and how do I earn them?

  • Each rank requires 20 tokens, so getting to rank 50 requires 1000 tokens

  • Crucible Matches – 5 for a win, 2 for a loss

  • Heroic Strikes – ~7 per completion

  • Nightfall – ~15 for first completion then ~7 after that

  • Public Events – 3 for Regular, 5 for Heroic

  • Raids – ~3 per encounter

  • Lost Sectors – 1 with zero Renown, 2 with one Renown, 3 with two Renown, 6 with 3 Renown, 8 with 4 Renown, 10 with 5 Renown

  • Daily Challenges – complete the daily challenge for 15 bonus tokens, can do each day on each character

I heard Daily Challenges are standard every Rally, so what's happening on each day this week?

  • Tuesday – Loot a Lost Sector in EDZ with 3+ Renown

  • Wednesday – Complete 3 Heroic Strikes (note that the Heroic combo will be Grenadier/Grounded on this day, but you can do regular strikes to complete this)

  • Thursday – Loot a Lost Sector on Titan with 3+ Renown

  • Friday – Complete 3 Public Events

  • Saturday – Loot a Lost Sector on Nessus with 3+ Renown

  • Sunday – Complete 5 Crucible matches

  • Monday – Loot a Lost Sector on Io with 3+ Renown

  • Weekly – New this season was once-per-account bonus 15 tokens for looting any Lost Sector with 5 Renown, not sure if this one will be back this rally EDIT - Getting reports that this is no longer once-per-account and can be done on each character. Woohoo, bonus tokens!

Seems like Renown is pretty important. What how does it work?

  • Activates a version of the "Attrition" modifier from Heroic Adventures and previously Nightfalls

  • Health/shield regeneration is effectively turned off and occasionally slain enemies will drop a "well of light" that you can pick up to trigger regen

  • Perks that trigger health regen (Crimson, devour, Skullfort, Wormhusk Crown, etc.) do override Attrition, but the regen they give is still slow.

  • Each subsequent stack decreases damage you do and increases damage you take

  • Dying removes one stack at a time

  • Fast traveling or going to a different planetary body removes all stacks

Well that sounds crappy, but I'm a masochist, so how do I earn Renown? (Values shown in standard and [Wearing Full Faction Armor Set])

  • Patrol – 1 [2]

  • High Value Target – 1 [2]

  • Regular Public Event – 2 [3]

  • Heroic Public Event – 3 [4]

  • Mercury Heroic Public Event – 4 [5]

But what about those armor ornaments? I heard I can grind for them both during the rally week and the week after, known as "Golmuut's PSTD Therapy Week", but they sound like quite a chore!

STANDARD ITEMS

  • Helmets – Cash in 50 Renown in Lost Sectors (same for all Factions and all Classes)

  • Legs – Earn 30 Renown in Full Armor Set (same for all Factions and all Classes)

    FUTURE WAR CULT

  • Titan Arms – Kill 70 Vex with Fist of Panic Havoc

  • Titan Chest – Kill 90 Vex with Power Weapons wearing Full Armor Set

  • Titan Mark – Loot Conflux Lost Sector on Nessus

  • Hunter Arms – Kill 70 Vex with Golden Gun

  • Hunter Chest – Kill 165 Vex with Kinetic Weapons wearing Full Armor Set

  • Hunter Cloak – Loot Ancient's Haunt Lost Sector on Nessus

  • Warlock Arms – Kill 65 Vex with Nova Bombs

  • Warlock Chest – Kill 135 Vex with Energy Weapons wearing Full Armor Set

  • Warlock Bond – Loot Orrery Lost Sector on Nessus

    DEAD ORBIT

  • Titan Arms – Kill 55 Taken with Grenades

  • Titan Chest – Complete 25 Heroic Public Events wearing Full Armor Set

  • Titan Mark – Loot Sanctum of Bones Lost Sector on Io

  • Hunter Arms – Kill 65 Hive with Charged Melee attacks

  • Hunter Chest – Get 85 Super Multikills wearing Full Armor Set

  • Hunter Cloak – Loot Methane Flush Lost Sector on Titan

  • Warlock Arms – Kill 130 Fallen with Precision damage

  • Warlock Chest – Loot 30 High Value Target Chests wearing Full Armor Set

  • Warlock Bond – Loot Carrion Pit Lost Sector on Nessus

    NEW MONARCHY

  • Titan Arms – Kill 80 Phalanxes

  • Titan Chest – Gather 50 Dusklight wearing Full Armor Set

  • Titan Mark – Loot Excavation Site XII Lost Sector in EDZ

  • Hunter Arms – Kill 65 Centurions

  • Hunter Chest – Open 30 EDZ Chests wearing Full Armor Set

  • Hunter Cloak – Loot Drain Lost Sector in EDZ

  • Warlock Arms – Kill 110 Psions

  • Warlock Chest – Complete 25 EDZ Patrols wearing Full Armor Set

  • Warlock Bond – Loot Cavern of Souls Lost Sector in EDZ

If you can't get it all done in one week, progress will carry over to the next week. At this point it sounds like there will be one more rally in Season 3, for which Bungie will have patched the bug that prevents us from buying specific armor pieces. I'm sure I missed information or misstated some numbers, so let me know what's wrong and I'll make updates.

Happy Grinding, Guardians!

Edit: some formatting and some token quantity updates.

Edit 2: Maths on how many tokens you get by doing the daily challenges all week, courtesy of u/K_U and u/BuffMonkeyJR

Edit 3: Updated Weekly bonus challenge to be once-per-character rather than once-per-week. Thanks, u/Nearokins and u/UndeadShadowUnicorn

  • 105 tokens per character for the 7 daily + 15 for the weekly challenge = 330 tokens
  • Tuesday Daily would be 15 tokens per character in addition (5 for a heroic PE and 10 for a 5 stack Lost Sector) = 45 tokens
  • Wednesday Daily would be 21 tokens per character in addition (7 each for three heroic strikes) = 63 tokens
  • Thursday Daily would be 15 tokens per character in addition (5 for a heroic PE and 10 for a 5 stack Lost Sector) = 45 tokens
  • Friday Daily would be 15 tokens per character in addition (5 each for three heroic PEs ) = 45 tokens
  • Saturday Daily would be 15 tokens per character in addition (5 for a heroic PE and 10 for a 5 stack Lost Sector) = 45 tokens
  • Sunday Daily would be 10 tokens (all losses) to 25 tokens (all wins) per character in addition = 30-75 tokens
  • Monday Daily would be 15 tokens per character in addition (5 for a heroic PE and 10 for a 5 stack Lost Sector) = 45 tokens

So that leaves us with...

  • All Losses in Crucible: 330 + 45 + 63 + 45 + 45 + 45 + 30 + 45 = 648
  • All Wins in Crucible: 330 + 45 + 63 + 45 + 45 + 45 + 75 + 45 = 693
  • Plus 15 from the Weekly Challenge and 45 (15x3) for Nightfall = 693-738
  • If you do 3 LS per character on Friday with the Heroic PE, thats an additional 90, so 783-828.

If you won't pledge FWC but you want them to win, earn tokens for DO/NM but don't spend them until Victory week.

MIDA & Ace of Spades

Posted: 26 Jun 2018 07:01 AM PDT

Greetings r/DestinyTheGame,

I have recently completed some huge paintings of two of my favorite weapons from D1 and D2. I made a blog post about it. I don't normally post to Reddit, but I know there are a lot of fans of Destiny here and most of my facebook and twitter followers are not big into the game, so I hope this post will get a little more love here.

http://variate.net/wrkwrkwrk/2018/6/24/mida-ace-of-spades

I'm planning to take these to GuardianCon in a few weeks, and I'm hoping to work up even more pieces for Destiny fans, so I can raise as much money to help contribute to St. Judes during the event.

Cheers. Thanks for looking.

D2: Screw Faction Rallies, I want old D1 Factions that I can pursue at my own pace.

Posted: 26 Jun 2018 08:42 AM PDT

Faction rallies feel like doing chores, I never want to do them again after the first time. If u miss a week, you are screwed for having a life or anything else in the summer. Ornaments are not account wide on armor making it even more grindy for a single week.

Give me back D1 Factions. Why don't games ever learn from the past, don't screw with things that people enjoy and have not complained about.

Certain exotic weapons should have a “unique” reload animations.

Posted: 26 Jun 2018 05:29 AM PDT

Hi,

So have a look at the huckleberry, unique reload animation and my favourite. Suros regime (also my favourite) being an auto rifle, has the same reload animation across all 450rpm autos, the only thing that makes it exotic, is it's perks. Sleeper simulant, same reload with all linear fusion rifles.

Acquiring exotic should amaze us in a way and be difficult for us to obtain. What sets it apart is how the weapon feels, shoots and reloads. The animation should be different, compared to its family line.

What makes a weapon exotic?

A- Maybe the way it handles?

B- The intrinsic perk?

C- Easy management in any situation?

What do you think?

40/40 Sleeper Nodes - Simple Guide on getting all nodes without farming thousands of Stems

Posted: 26 Jun 2018 06:51 AM PDT

Note - Before i begin, i want to point out part of my strategy was testing out a post i saw on here (but can't seem to find to see who the OP is) basically suggesting that certain areas of mars are connected to certain node activations. If anyone knows what i'm talking about feel free to post it, full credit goes to them for the idea.

Alright things to note

-There are 6 different node categories. They are Aurora mindlab, Drift, Descent, Dynamo, Futurescape and Mindlab

  • I started with Aprrox 700 stems

  • I ended up using only Approx 650 stems to hit 40/40

  • In my search i noticed that you only really need to decode nodes in TWO locations, that's it, just TWO. These locations are Futurescape Braytech (top of mars spawn point) and Olympus Descent (it's the bottom left corner of mars aka the beginning of the Warmind campaign)

  • Within 500 Stems (I didn't record the exact number) i obtained All of the following location nodes.

    (Aurora mindlab, Descent, Drift, Mindlab)

  • The "most common" nodes in this location would always be both mindlabs and Drift. Occasionally you'll get a Dynamo or Descent mode but they are much less common than the rest. One thing to note here is that it's borderline impossible to get a futurescape node while standing in futurescape. I got a whopping ONE node for it while there and that was it.

  • By the time i completed both mindlabs and Drift i had already finished all descent nodes and collected at least half of the Dynamo nodes

  • *Once you finish Both mindlab categories and drift/descent you can move on to the second location needed to finish your journey. In Olympus Descent you can obtain both Dynamo AND futurecape nodes, the only 2 categories you should be missing. There are other nodes that drop here but just like the other location, the two that you need are the "common" drops.

Within 150 stems i had completed the rest of my nodes and finished the 40/40 Emblem completion by simply teleporting back and forth between futurescape and olympus because a majority of the remaining nodes were in futurescape via the strat mentioned above.

Once again, Descent Nodes were non Descent nodes were non-existent similar to futurescape

Now you might be asking, why not use other locations for X node? Well to put it short, i've seen some of the struggle runs where people have used 1000+ stems only to get dicked by RNG. I noticed in some places, their node RNG was all over the place. For example, Alton Dynamo felt like it had common drops for everything across the board (besides itself of course) but in futurescape and olympus, this was not the case at all, so i stuck with those and tested and well, the results came out better than expected. I was fully expecting to be in that "1k+ stems for nodes" club.

Hope this helps people who have been strugging. 600-700 Stems compared to thousands is a lot easier on the grind!

TL;DR - Only pop stems in Futurescape braytech and Olympus Descent, don't waste your time and effort on any other location. Start at futurescape until you have all node categories other than Dynamo and Futurescape itself, then switch to Olympus.

EDIT - Here is a list of all the nodes, use it to keep track of which you've gotten so you don't waste hours just going to the same nodes over and over

D2 would feel a lot faster game if in air accuracy wasn't neutered for most guns

Posted: 26 Jun 2018 08:58 AM PDT

D2 is a slower pace game, and with a game that fundamentally is slower overall, you need to improve the gun play. If in air accuracy wasn't neutered team fights wouldn't feel like bunker battles and be stagnant with guns like graviton lance and vigilance wing. This isn't to say that they are too strong, it's that the game's pace and mechanics complement and support them. If in air accuracy for guns was better across the board, being able to jump shoot in the game would definitely allow you to be more aggressive and allow the game to feel faster.

Come Forsaken, when power matters in Iron Banner, we need to be able to gain power from it.

With power mattering in IB in Forsaken, Iron Banner should give us a way to progress. Have high light items drop from packages would be bad, but getting high power items when reaching certain ranks in IB would be awesome.

Can we get a weekly "Bungie Replied" summary?

Posted: 26 Jun 2018 01:46 AM PDT

I can't tell if it's just confirmation bias and bad timing on my part, but I swear I'm seeing almost no "Bungie Replied" posts these days. They responded to the joke(?) thread about Ishtar Commander, and I think there might have been a few "we're listening"s but that's practically it for the last week or so, as far as I've seen.

I feel like we're back to the part of the communication cycle where they got our money, and so now they can't be bothered to respond to any actual questions. The next step will be the "we will try and do better" part, then right before they ask us for more money again the communication will suddenly pick up.

Figure it might help to see just where were at in terms of communication from Bungie if we could get a weekly "report".

Will there be ways to earn the Exotic Catalysts in year two if we aren't able to collect them in season 3?

And are there any plans to add a 4th Faction Rally to this season?

dmg04

  1. Yes, there will be ways to acquire them. More details on that later this summer.
  2. There are currently no plans to add a 4th Faction Rallies event.

Buff Nova Bomb, Stormtrance, and Golden Gun.

Posted: 26 Jun 2018 09:50 AM PDT

The Vortex Nova Bomb literally has no splash damage or blast radius. It was way more powerful/useful in D1 for taking out groups of enemies. Enemies constantly survive the Slowva Bomb too, because the blast radius is so small, and the seeking projectiles don't work like they should.

Stormtrance doesn't do anywhere near enough damage.

Golden Gun should one shot orange bars without crits, and have the Combustion skill from D1. It's literally useless in PvE without Celestial Nighthawk. Making orbs isn't fun, unless the enemies die.

All supers should make more orbs too. Like they did in vanilla D1, before you guys nerfed it for no reason.

EDIT: I forgot to and Sentinel to this post. It's shortcomings are obvious.

Please can we get some grenade buffs? Theres too many worthless grenades right now

Posted: 26 Jun 2018 06:02 AM PDT

Title says it all but hey here is more.

The only good grenades are pulse and bolt grenades and supression. The scatter, axion bolt, both suck leaving voidwalker 1 good grenade. And scatter only good if charged it's worthless uncharged.

I have a hunter and don't have any idea what kind of solar grenades it has. As far as I can tell they all suck pretty bad.

Voidwall is entirely unpredictable. And the sticky grenades do NOTHING for damage so they are worthless to use and take longer to hurt the enemy.

And all exotics that go to buffing these grenades are useless also because they aren't any good to begin with. Even the nice new exotic buffs won't help since the problem is with the grenades itself.

This is a major part of our arsenal and I'd really like to know if there are plans to make them useful in the future because some of the exotics look cool but there's just no point as is with how pathetic the grenades are.

Bungie Plz consider buffing the Token rewards from other activities before the new faction rally.

Posted: 26 Jun 2018 01:55 AM PDT

Don't know how everyone else feels but I am getting pretty tired of grinding public events and lost sectors when it comes to faction rallies. If rewards from activities like Crucible, Raids, Strikes, Adventures etc were buffed to be roughly equal to Public Events & Lost sectors in terms of tokens earned in X time I feel like the event would be so much more enjoyable.

Plz bungie.

Get Older EV Sets Via Meditations?

Posted: 26 Jun 2018 07:38 AM PDT

Part of the reason why everyone ignores meditation is that the rewards for it are dismal (the vanilla D2 armor and that's pretty much about it.) Maybe have it be the way you can earn the EV armor sets that are no longer sold (e.g. Optimacy, Mechanos, etc.) as well as some golden oldies from D1? It'd be a great way to incentivize using a function that's rarely touched currently.
