    • No bug reports, technical support, or ban appeal questions.
    • No reporting other players.
    • One question per user.
  • Keep feedback respectful and constructive. Check your salt at the door.

Introduction of the new Junior Moderation Team

Posted: 11 Jun 2018 04:31 AM PDT

Hello y'all!

We hope you've had a great time playing the PTB and testing new stuff. Considering that the new DLC launches tomorrow, we have decided to make a quick "just for the record"-kind of announcement today so you can fully embrace your DLC hype for the rest of the week. We will definitely revisit our moderation team as a topic in the near future, but there are still things we have to discuss internally before we're ready to share more "Behind The Scenes" information. As things are now, we plan to give you some insight on our new mod team structure (the different positions, responsibilities and tasks) and we plan to talk about some of our internal projects we're currently working on.

Before we get to the heart of the matter, we unfortunately have to announce that our previous head moderators /u/Alchameth and /u/Master-Indig0 have retired because of personal reasons. We want to thank both of you for being part of the team, it was a pleasure to work with you, and we wish you all the best in the future! <3

New Junior Moderation Team

First of all, we'd like to thank everyone who has participated in our open moderator applications! Obviously, we couldn't invite all of you to join our team, but rest assured that this will not be the last time we'll have open mod applications to participate in.

Today, we're happy to announce that /u/Brumafriend, /u/elegylegacy, /u/Meoang, /u/reveniam and /u/SacrilegeGG joined the r/deadbydaylight moderation team as Junior Moderators! Please give them a hearty welcome and don't hesitate to consult them if you have subreddit-related questions and concerns! :)

I like people who put their twitch channel in their name

Posted: 11 Jun 2018 03:24 AM PDT

After a match I like to search their name on Twitch so I can see the match from their perspective. Seeing the game through the killers eyes when I was the survivor is also very insightful.

Thank you for hearing me out.

It's rough out here for Console Players

Posted: 11 Jun 2018 11:16 AM PDT

  1. There are no bans on console. Even if you lag switch, farm your teammates, or be incredibly toxic over messages, nothing will happen.
  2. If Killer shuts off their console, you lose all of your earnings and get a "Disconnected from Host" message. This is common.
  3. Later updates than PC
  4. 60 fps? I don't know her.
  5. Matchingmaking is incredibly unfair for ranks 1 and 2. You'll get a rank 1-4 killer but your teammates will be ranks 8-12 (not SWF)
  6. Huntress's hitbox is so inconsistent that she's not a top tier killer on console
  7. No communication with teammates in pre game lobby
  8. No post game chat (which might be a good thing jury is still out on that one)

Is personal skill something people take into consideration when they ask for buffs or nerfs?

Posted: 11 Jun 2018 06:11 AM PDT

I've never ever asked for a buff or nerf. I might complain about certain mechanics or how people decide to play this game. But I don't recall asking the Devs to make the game easier for me.

I normally just think that I suck and I need to improve. Then I work towards that.

Please fix struggle

Posted: 11 Jun 2018 10:07 AM PDT

Over the past couple of weeks the struggle mechanic has stopped working for me.

I would be struggling like normal and all of a sudden I would die.

It happens over half of every time I enter the struggle phase.

I don't know what the problem is but it's really stressful that entering the struggle phase is basically a death sentence.

Never had this problem before and idk how to fix it.

Suggestion for new mechanic: Killers can choose to drag survivors to the hook.

Posted: 11 Jun 2018 02:32 AM PDT

Im a killer main but despite what you might think I actually like the flashlight. That is to say I like the counter-play that the flashlight introduces, where I have to take the FL into consideration and remember to face a wall when Im picking up a survivor.

However, when playing against a well functioning team where the downed survivor know enough to make it hard for me to face anything as I pick them up. Then comes the flashlights, blocks etc.

I was thinking of a mechanic that trades the voulnerability of picking up a survivor for time. Meaning the killer grabs the survivor by the foot and sloooowly has to drag him/her to a hook and losing precious time doing so but atleast its more of a "sure card" for those times when I had to work hard to finally get a down and sure enough their team is all there to block, flashlight etc to stop me from getting my heard earned hook. This could probably be countered by the survivors having more time to sabotage the hook im slowly making my way towards. How slow the drag would go of course has to be balanced and the wiggle mechanic has to be revisited for dragging but what do you guys think the concept?
