I think playing a khajit might be getting to me.

Kharjo and I get so much racial abuse it isn't funny, and now I've started treating my pet in real life the same way I was treated in-game.

At first it was just a few "what do you want, cat" comments but it's clearly escalating. The other day I told her "never should have come here" when she tried to walk on my laptop.

It's a cycle of abuse.

How to survive as a low level mage

I'm only at level 4 on my current playthrough and am trying to do it as a pure mage who disdains armor and any weapon other than a dagger*. At this low level I find it difficult to survive a lot of encounters and often end up just running away. Are there any tips for surviving until I've become more powerful?

*Out of desperation she has picked up a weapon twice, to her shame.
