Hey guys!

For those of you who don't know me, I am a Twitch streamer and YouTuber who has basically been doing all things Hearthstone professionally for 4 years. I was the first player in the world to hold rank 1 Legend on both US and EU at same time. 4 years ago was when I dropped out of school to focus full time on streaming and competing. A lot has happened since then, I later moved my focus from competing to casting, and now my focus is on my own Twitch and YouTube channels - playing and/or casting is still not out of the question though!

Oh, and last year I married a blizzard employee and moved to the US. Her name is Christina.

Our current 18 slots are good for the 9 Baku and 9 Genn decks, but what if I want to make a normal deck with both even and odd cards? I won't have room for that!

New Quests Are Bugged -- All my accounts are getting the first two new player quests again.

First new quest after midnight is always "Beat Down" and rerolling a quest always gives "Destroy Them All." Just tried this on five different US accounts.

I believe what's happened is they've inadvertently reset the quest counter right back to the beginning as though we all have new accounts.

Oops.

'Twas the night before Witchwood, when all through the tavern

Not a murloc was jumping, not even a tauren;

The bundles were placed by the hearth with great care,

In hopes that the Witchwood soon would be there.

All players regardless of server they play on,

Were dreaming of all the games that could be won;

With the sign of the Raven just 'round the corner,

All were saying goodbye to the year that was former.

Excitement takes charge of every great hero,

As if they'd reduced their opponents to zero;

Soon the clock would hit the Witching hour,

and through the forest will spread Hagatha's power.

Paladin, Priest, and Mage would despair,

While Warrior, Shaman, and Rogue breathe fresh air;

May the year of the Raven bring joy to us all,

And a prize fit for kings be given through Brawl.

Far in the distance, Ben Brode could be heard,

Having a laugh which for the minute was third;

To Reddit he said to not be in fright,

"Enjoy the Witchwood you all, and to all a good night."

Twas the night before Witchwood

and all through Gilneas,

Not a Worgen was howling

or dog pounding that wolf ass

When suddenly the fester-roots all started to clatter

From a wind blowing cold enough to power creep shatter.

Suddenly, odd minions rose from their beds like a ghoul

While Baku gave Warrior a fun interactive tool.

Then the great Worgen King culled an even cost list

(For Genn's lore is about losing cause your 1 drops don't exist)

Then the witch queen emerged making peasants retreat -

Which class would she trick and which would she treat?

The witch approached Malfie and said with intrigue,

"Card draw is key, but without Jade you can now die to fatigue."

Tapping his head, Malfurion knew just what to say,

"Your hand's ALWAYS full when filled with cards you don't want to play."

She then went to Hunter and hissed in his ear,

"Don't you want something besides beasts year after year…"

Then Rexxar emoted as a Dragon emerged from its den,

"How rare! How legendary! This thing called ' Turn Ten '"

The witch turned to mage, "My pretty let's talk.

You've lost oh so much and now no more Ice Block."

And Jaina agreed, it was time to rebel!

"I know - i'll become the first mage that doesn't cast spells."

Confused, Hagatha wandered to the next guy in line.

"Paladin you think you are holy because your shields are Divine."

She spat just as Uther tried to confront her -

"I curse you with synergy…for the legendary I gave Hunter."

Then priest approached and got down on his knees,

"I beg you, don't nerf my class identity please!"

"You mean healing or stealing or that mind reading voodoo?"

"No - just give me a way to cheat out obsidian statue"

Hagatha shrugged, then found our Rogue barely alive.

"We keep giving you memes my dear and yet you survive."

But rogue had a secret - she then started shoutin',

"I summon Tess Greymane to hit MEME-LEVEL 9000!"

Then Warrior climbed way up in his tower,

"C'mon you witch, get a taste of my power!"

Then a flood of Rush minions poured from Genn's mansion,

But the witch only scoffed, "Better luck next expansion."

She found Warlock preoccupied with Dark Pacting his Cubes.

"Sorry I was making hearthstone easier to uninstall for the noobs.

So what cards could possibly deserve a prime slot?"

She whispered, "What about a better rush minion than Warrior got?"

After thus honoring Warlock with a Salt Mining Degree,

she finally approached Shaman: Hero of RNG.

"You shall be my disciple - RNG-sus be praised,

But what's not random? How Shutterwock surely f*cks future design space."

With that the witch cackled and pulled out her broom,

then cried out ominously as she retreated into the gloom:

"On Glass Knight, on Crowley, on sleeper hit minions,

on Aviana, on Gunspire and obvious dustbins"

Then we sighed and rejoiced at this set's sane power level,

but just as the bells rang and we started to revel -

A Brode laugh boomed out and shook our foundation

as the witch returned with a last proclamation:

"You fools! I now leave you my wickedest of tricks -

enjoy facing Tyrantus on every turn 6."

And with that she gave us a terrible fright -

Happy Witching Hour All! And to All a good night!

See y'all next expansion - and in the meantime - Hail our new Cubelock and Spiteful Summoner over lords!

Is Your Account Ready? The Witchwood 4-step Pre-release Checklist Is Here

Here are the 4 steps you'll want to check to make sure you are ready for Witchwood's release on Thursday, April 12:

  1. If you've been meaning to pre-order, go ahead - Time's almost up.

  2. Clear your quest log. On Thursday, you'll receive your usual daily quest in addition to a Lunara hero portrait quest. If your log doesn't have enough room, Lunara will overwrite one of your normal quests.

  3. Start an Arena Run and stop at 2 losses - When the rotation occurs, your unfinished Arena Run will be automatically retired. You will be awarded the normal prize based on your current number of wins, plus you will also get a free Arena ticket to play again. I believe both the unfinished run and the new run will award Witchwood packs in this scenario, netting you 2 WW packs for 150 gold. And of course additional rewards depending on your Arena performances.

  4. Craft Hall of Fame Cards On Thursday, you'll receive dust for 2 Coldlight Oracles, 2 Ice Blocks, and 2 Molten Giants - provided that you own them. This means that if you don't own them, you should craft them! For specific details on how to handle your specific collection, there are several guides out there such as [this one] and [this one]

EDIT: Before you craft your HOF cards, you might want to play the 4/11 Tavern Brawl, which probably awards a classic pack, and open it. Who knows, you just might get an Ice Block, Molten Giant, or Coldlight Oracle that you were going to craft! Thanks /u/battalion1 for this suggestion.
