Weekly /r/Games Discussion - Suggestion request free-for-all Posted: 11 Apr 2018 02:10 PM PDT /r/Games usually removes suggestion requests that are either too general (eg "Which PS3 games are the best?") or too specific/personal (eg "Should I buy Game A or Game B?"), so this thread is the place to post any suggestion requests like those, or any other ones that you think wouldn't normally be worth starting a new post about. If you want to post requests like this during the rest of the week, please post to other subreddits like /r/gamingsuggestions, /r/ShouldIBuyThisGame, or /r/AskGames instead. Please also consider sorting the comments in this thread by "new" so that the newest comments are at the top, since those are most likely to still need answers. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 12 Apr 2018 03:54 AM PDT After ~7 weeks The strike at Eugen Systems has ended and employees did not win. In a statement relayed yesterday by the STJV - video game workers' union. (in french). Employees of Eugen Systems have confirmed that the strike started 7 weeks earlier ended on Tuesday 3 April. An exceptional situation that has not found a satisfactory solution in the eyes of the employees concerned, who have essentially found themselves forced to surrender for obvious financial reasons. As a reminder, they were 21 of the 44 employees of the studio to strike on February 14, according to the statement of the management of the Paris studio. For more context, the strikers detailed the nature of their demands (conventional minima, classifications, holiday bonuses, compliance with the laws on working time and management of overtime) "Although the strike is over, the conflict is not !" With E3 coming at us in 2 months, what are the rumors so far? Posted: 11 Apr 2018 08:18 AM PDT We've heard a bit about PS5 being announced, which sounds pretty much impossible for now. The most exciting thing is whether Cyberpunk is going to be there and the signs seem to be there. Additionally, PlayStation is probably going to have one hell of a show. What rumors have you heard? What are you hoping for? [link] [comments] |

What 'tacked on' multiplayer really surprised you? Posted: 11 Apr 2018 12:46 PM PDT I was recently chatting with a friend about the new Assassins Creed game and although I really enjoyed my time with it, I didn't feel it was a great Assassins creed game as it had turned into more of an open-world RPG. Though, I do understand how people had become bored of the formula of their previous games. One thing I had forgotten about though was the old multiplayer modes of Assassins Creed and though I think a lot of people thought they were probably trash, I actually had quite a bit of fun with them back in the day. Then we got onto the subject of other games that seemed to have a randomly added multiplayer mode. The Last of Us was a good example and another multiplayer mode that completely took me by surprise with how good it was with such a simple concept. The Alien vs Predator game from 2010 also had a mode that kept me and my friend entertained for hours, though apparently AVP games were known for their good multiplayer which I didn't know about. The races were kind of imbalanced but playing as a marine on the pyramid map that changed and cut you off from your squad was some of the most fun I have had with an online game. Any other games that took you by surprise with their multiplayer? Also, off topic, does anyone else want a new AVP? In the right hands it could be an amazing game and having recently started Alien Isolation I am itching for more from that type of world. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 11 Apr 2018 06:57 PM PDT It seems as though a lot of people groan and complain when an achievement list has some form of multiplayer trophy when the game has a Singleplayer Focus. Im looking at Far Cry 5s arcade multiplayer as a recent example, which (in my opinion) isnt that fun to play, but also requires you to win 10 matches on Featured Maps, but no-one votes for the featured maps, they would rather vote for the Call of Duty or PuBG maps. But this also occurs in games such as the older Assassins Creed games, or Uncharted Games, or even The Last of Us (although i did enjoy TLOU multiplayer) Games such as Call of Duty and Battlefield having MP trophies makes sense since they are Multiplayer focused, and even games with Co-Op achievements are fine. Achievement Hunters for years have been complaining about multiplayer trophies being included, but developers seem to keep adding them. [link] [comments] |

Since Starfield is heavily implied to be at Bethesda’s E3, what would you like to see in it? Posted: 11 Apr 2018 06:26 PM PDT Personally I'm super excited for it and can't wait to see it. I would like a few things to be the same, and some new changes to the format as well!
Big open world - according to "leaks", the game will feature randomly generated worlds with hand crafted assets. Personally I DONT want to see this, it will make the game feel too boring and too much like no mans sky. I really enjoy Bethesda's games for their handcrafted worlds and I don't want this to go away. For size, as long as it's the same size as Skyrim/Fallout, it'll be fine by me Settlement crafting - Now i know this is a controversial topic but I'd like to see an expansion on Fallout 4's system, perhaps with colonies instead of towns, and more benefits/covmsequences to it. CHOICES - please just let me have choices like in previous Bethesda games, Fallout 4 was Ok, but not great in terms of this. So now that I've said my wishes, what are your thoughts?
