Posted: 04 Apr 2018 08:08 AM PDT If anyone has played Dragon Age Origins, I would love to see a opening chapter like that in the Fallout series.--For those who haven't played DAO, you start choosing your race, social status etc., and the game opens with a prologue chapter unique to that selection, and affects how NPCs treat you throughout the game.-- I think this could be really fun and fitting for the fallout world, you could select starting as a vault dweller (NPCs occasionally call you Blue or something; immediate access to pip-boy), a raider or merc (maybe Gunners agro to you less quickly) or a ghoul (rad resistance). I think this could be a lot of fun and add to re-playability and immersion. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 04 Apr 2018 08:59 AM PDT Notice how there aren't any ghouls in the powder gangers? Or in the fiends. In fact I haven't seen any ghoul raiders. It's weird because there are ghouls in the strip and in the NCR. This is probably an over sight, but an over sight that bugged me at 3:30 in the morning. What do you guys think? [link] [comments] |
Fallout 4 companion friendship (spoilers) Posted: 04 Apr 2018 10:12 AM PDT Anyone else find it really interesting how the fallout 4 companions actually seem to have a sort of companionship and friendship not just with the Sole Survivor but also with each other. especially in "blind betrayal" where most of the companions say that Danse is their friend and they won't just betray him. I would love to see this be given more emphasis in the next fallout, maybe just in the form of companions initiating conversations with other companions if near each other. It's quite nice, overall I think fallout 4 has the best companion mechanics of any Bethesda game by a long shot [link] [comments] |
Posted: 04 Apr 2018 09:11 AM PDT Think about it, I wonder how codsworth would feel about ED-E. I wonder how danse feel about Veronica after both of there questlines I wonder if Rex and dogmeat would get along. Lily meeting Strong. I don't know but every time I think those two in the same room it won't end well. Cass meeting cait. Two tough girl red heads clashing horns. Nick Valentine's opinion on everything as everyone. Fallout History: A Day at the Beach Posted: 04 Apr 2018 01:37 PM PDT Fallout History: A Day at the Beach In 1935 the Commonwealth of the Philippines was created, an associated state and protectorate of the United States of America, which also had several military bases on the islands. In the winter of 2066 the People's Republic of China invaded Alaska, declaring war on the United States and starting the Sino-American war. Fearing retaliation attacks via the South China Sea by the US forces stationed in the Philippine Commonwealth China invaded the island state in January 2067 with the goal of driving out the US forces. For the next 10 years both countries fought for control of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, with disastrous consequences for the local populace, many of which fled to America, Australia, and Indonesia. In 2074 the United States started deploying power armor units to the islands, first T-45d units and later, in 2076 the new and improved T-51b units as well. This proved to be a real turning point and by October 23, 2077 most of the Chinese forces had been driven off, with some smaller battles still being fought in Laoag, El Nido and Mambajao. This image shows members of Blue Squad and Fireteam Alpha (which falls under Blue Squad) on patrol on the coast near Mambajao in 2076. From left to right you see: PFC. L. Saldaña, CPL. L. L. Burns, Team leader of Fireteam Alpha, SSG. A. Zuelch, Squad leader of Blue Squad and PVT. M. J. Heyman. This photograph was used for recruitment by the United States Armed forces. After having used historical photographs, paintings and just pictures of buildings I decided break in a new source of images for this one, namely screens from movie trailers that weren't actually in the movie itself. So for this image I used this screen from one of the trailers for Rogue One: A Star wars Story If you want to see the rest of my Fallout History series click here. If you want to see a colorised version of this image, click here I just wanted to say this that while it is confirmed that Chinese and American forces are fighting in the Philippines (in Mambajao in 2077) not much else is known. The fact that the Philippines never gained independence from the US and China invading to drive out the US forces is entirely my own headcanon. Feel free to use any of my images for whatever purpose, as long as I'm credited. [link] [comments] |
Some Stats about Fallout 4's Quests Posted: 04 Apr 2018 01:38 PM PDT Hello ! So I made some stats about Fallout 4 and its WRITTEN quests to prove a point, and also raise some questions about how we make quests and how we should change the way we do things.
I basically took the list of quests on the Fallout 4 wiki http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_4_quests And put them in 2 categories, the "unispired" quests (fetch -kill - gather), and the original ones that make you do something else. I also made subcategories to differentiate them, because it's sometimes more ambiguous than I though and not everyone would have the same results.
Here is the album of the sheet I made for myself : https://imgur.com/a/YSNEW
Here are the results :
-------- In this category, 29 (33.3%) had some originality put into them -------- 61 (70 %) involved killing a wave of ennemies -------- 66 (75.8 %) involved fetching something
I did not count the radiant and Miscellaneous quests because they are not part of the point and we already know in which category they are. Some quests have "NO, NO, NO", they are basically nothing quests that only serve the purpose of transitioning. As you can see, some of them I put "Debattable", because I really did not know in which category I should put them, you may find that some others are debattable too
Now, I didn't make all of that just for the sake of it, because Fallout 4 is far from being the only game that suffers from a lack of inspiration when it comes to its quests, but since it's a Fallout game, it's more meaningful. Bethesda also has a history of making great quests ( I instantly think of Oblivion which had some really original stuff) But since Skyrim, they seem to have completly gave up on quests with some very few exceptions in both Skyrim & Fallout 4.
That's also debattable but I think that's hugely detrimental to the games (problems of repetitivity, not having good stories, the world feeling more shallow...). I think it's one of the major reasons some people have been disappointed with those last 2 games
Do you agree with my statements ? In your opinion, what could we do to change the formula ? Do you have interesting ideas ?[link] [comments] |
What's your favorite faction in the fallout series and why? Posted: 04 Apr 2018 11:48 AM PDT I wonder what the most liked and the most disliked faction in the games. [link] [comments] |

And finally in 1st place is Fallout New Vegas with 84. If you participated in this poll thank you a ton I love doing polls and I will post answers to a different poll tomorrow. [link] [comments] |
What Is Best Fallout 3 Or New Vegas DLC? Posted: 04 Apr 2018 07:52 AM PDT I'm looking to buy a DLC for Fallout 3 or New Vegas, what would you guys recommend? [link] [comments] |
(New Vegas) I found my favorite dialogue option in this entire game...! Posted: 03 Apr 2018 06:36 PM PDT When you talk to Benny with the black widow perk, you can flirt with him and I love this option in particular: [Black Widow] I'm a courier, remember? Don't you want to handle your package? I'm laughing so fucking hard oh my god... For fucks sake never mind this has to be it: Let's see what you've been hiding under that checkered suit. <Have sex with Benny.> OH MY FUCK THIS GAME IS AWESOME!! I can't stop laughing holy shit [link] [comments] |
What is the best assault rifle in fallout 4? Posted: 04 Apr 2018 10:23 AM PDT I recently learned how to mod weapons and the first thing I did was get rid of the scope on the overseers guardian so its now an AR. I thought"this must be the best AR in the game". Is it? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 04 Apr 2018 09:44 AM PDT fast traveled to sanctuary and ol' crazy mama murphy is at it again. IDK when this happened but it wasnt originally floating [link] [comments] |
Does anyone else HATE having a follower? Posted: 04 Apr 2018 03:04 PM PDT It seems like all they do is get in the way and get you killed. If they don't block you in a room to shield themselves from a freshly thrown grenade, they walk in your line of fire and then turn on you for friendly fire. Has anyone found a mod that fixes this? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 04 Apr 2018 01:29 PM PDT All of these game of great things about them and many flaws, but if we want a truly great fallout game we need to recognize all the good things about all the games up until this point, so what you say which feature should be included in the next game and which ones should be take out or replaced. We can't just keep using the "make another Vegas!" They are sick of it, let's actually give some conservative criticism. [link] [comments] |
Fallout "Mega Merge" Action Figures Posted: 04 Apr 2018 07:45 AM PDT Has anyone bought or heard of these? Are they any good? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 04 Apr 2018 02:42 PM PDT What do you guys consider the "good" ending? I'm on my first play through of Fallout New Vegas, and I want to know the differences between all of the endings [link] [comments] |
Did anyone else learn how to spell "Caesar" from the Legion's phonetic pronunciation? Posted: 04 Apr 2018 01:14 PM PDT |
[Semi-Spoilers] Can we just all take a moment to appreciate how amazing Frank Horrigan was? Posted: 03 Apr 2018 11:43 PM PDT Just finished Fallout 2, and by golly this guy rocks. He's such a unique concept for Fallout, a cyborg-super mutant Who dwarfs people in power armour. His suit that constantly pumps drugs into his system just to keep him alive, his demeanour, making lunch plans after punching a guy through the chest. His death animation is bloody amazing too, the way he pops off of his legs and crawls around on his arms, just to deliver his final epic words... God damn. [link] [comments] |
What should happen for the next Fallout game? Posted: 04 Apr 2018 09:04 AM PDT Everyone has a different opinion on where the next game should be but WHAT should actually happen? What conflict would you like to see happen in a future Fallout? What should the central conflict be about? Civil war in the NCR? Brotherhood becoming more tyrannical? Hubologists and Children of Atom conflict? Caesar Legion still has a lot of land in the Midwest regardless of whether or not it wins NV. What do you want to happen to the established groups of the wasteland? [link] [comments] |
What would you do if you were in Mr. House's place? Posted: 04 Apr 2018 01:42 AM PDT You just woke up from a long period of coma, after quickly checking your systems you see that you managed to repel most of the nukes aiming Vegas, but the world outside has forever changed. Even though you were out of the game for a while, you're now back in. How would you play the hand you've been dealt? [link] [comments] |
