Anyone Else Wish Niantic Would Bring Back The Old Character Scaling? Posted: 15 Mar 2018 06:48 AM PDT I never really understood why they scaled back larger mons like Dragonite and Aerodactyl and increased the size of common garbage like Pidgey and Weedle. It looks pretty dumb when on the rare occasion a Dragonite spawns on my map and it's hard to spot because it blends in with all the common mons littering the screen. Shouldn't these important mons get the respect they deserve by being larger on the map like before? [link] [comments]

[PSA] Unpopular Pokémon We Now Have That'll Be Hot In Gen 4 Posted: 15 Mar 2018 06:34 AM PDT Heads Up I hope you kept these dex entries because they will have relevancy thanks to gen4. It's like it will almost be the generation that will bridge all of the gaps that many have been longing for and if we just so happen to see a fast fairy move as well then I am going to freak out. I truly am excited and hope we see it sooner than later. Here is a list of what will be useful based off of their evolutions and their stats. I hope I got everything. •Yanma < Yanmega •Magmar < Magmortar •Electabuzz < Electivire •Sneasel < Weavile •Magnemite < Magnezone •Swinub < Mamoswine •Rhyhorn < Rhyperior •Roselia < Roserade •Murkrow < Honchkrow •Togetic < Togekiss •Misdreavus < Mismagius •Tangela < Tangrowth Why The Importance Some of you may be saying that you won't have use for some of these pokémon like electivire since you have zapdos or even better raikou on your electric type squad. Totally get that. But for the people who don't have them and also to the many trainers like myself who want a versatile team of pokémon no matter what, these gen4 evolutions will definitely be worth getting. I mean look at this. They have access to some of the best moves available, they have high attack stats and spawn in the wild which means they can cost less to power up. Some even have their own nests which is something you won't find with legendaries. I hope this post changes some of your minds because knowing this info really helped to bring things into a totally new perspective for me. Good luck and catch 'em all, y'all! EDITED: Misdreavus and Tangela added. Mismagius for its survivability and nodworthy attack stat, tangrowth for its bulk. [link] [comments]

Posted: 15 Mar 2018 06:43 PM PDT This is stupid but it's a thing now. Even if you're the last in the gym a multi-accounter can shave you right out. All they need to do is berry feed the pokémon they want to keep in and keep battling you until you faint. 10min later they throw in their pokémon all for 50 VIRTUAL COINS. Reasons like this are why I say that every pokémon has to be kicked before the same team can occupy the gym again. A 10min cool down? Please. Make them wait an hour. Bastards. [link] [comments]

Why are Sudowoodo and Skarmory in 10K eggs? Posted: 14 Mar 2018 11:28 PM PDT 10K eggs tend to include rare/powerful Pokemon like Chansey and pseudo-legendaries. But these two aren't useful like Chansey/Snorlax are for gyms, and they're not strong (both max out at less than 2100 CP). Also, why include these two in 10Ks when Larvitar and Beldum are in the same egg group? I hate to just think they're only there to dilute the pool of 10K Egg Pokemon and decrease your chance of getting something good like Dratini or Ralts, but any of you guys got an idea why these two irrelevant-to-the-meta Pokemon are in here? For Sudowoodo, I came up with a theory: in Gold/Silver/Crystal, you could only get 1 of him in the entire game, during this encounter where he's disguised as a tree, and even in Emerald, you could only get 1. He didn't become a wild spawn till Diamond and Pearl. I can kind of see why they'd put him in the 10K group because of that, but I think that justification is kind of a stretch. As a sidenote, I was gonna include Chimecho in this question, but Chimecho was this super rare Pokemon in Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, with only a 2-5% spawn rate on the top of Mt. Pyre. Plus, when I caught a wild Chimecho last Sunday, I got 1000 Stardust for him, so he must be pretty special in the game. That's just my guesses and reasons why they shouldn't be in there. What do you guys think? [link] [comments]
