| Posted: 14 Feb 2018 07:11 AM PST The 60-80 level bracket just drags on too long, IMO. Northrend and Outland clearly show their age - quests are spread out, slow, and occasionally buggy or just plain irritating (there's a lot of quests in Northrend that have you collecting things with low drop rates). The experience per-quest seems low and there's a ton of flying back and forth between objectives miles apart from each other, made worse by how slow flying is before 70. Meanwhile, Pandaria is beautiful. It's a blast to level through, and has great story, music, and zones with much better quest density and clearer quest objectives. You can level through it way faster - heck, almost too fast. I dropped everything and went to Pandaria the second I dinged 80. By the time I finished Jade Forest, I was just about 86. Granted, I was wearing heirlooms, but still - time flies! I just wish panda land (and cata zones too, though I'm not as fond of them) lasted longer than 10 levels is all. [link] [comments] | ||

| [SPOILERS] Who else is excited about Sylvanas and Saurfang? Posted: 14 Feb 2018 05:07 AM PST I've just read the following snippet from Sylvanas, seemingly after a disagreement with Saurfang during the Undercity battle:
First, I'd like to preface that as per Christie Golden's word: https://twitter.com/ChristieGolden/status/963574642966319105 So I know that anything that follows is based on something that might prove untrue. I'd also like to add that my appreciation of a character is usually based on how interesting they make the story, it's less about what they do, and more about the why and how. Basically I don't care about them being good or evil as long as they entertain me. That being said, as a hordie who was lukewarm at best about that whole faction conflict expansion, I'm starting to actually get my hopes up on the quality of the story (or at least the dialogues). This simple exchange illustrates well enough the clash of ideologies within the Horde, and I love that I'm actually conflicted about it. Because I like Saurfang and his traditional orcish values, but at the same time I think Sylvanas has a very valid point (and the way she delivers her "pep talk" feels very in character). After all, what is honor in the Horde? We know the Forsaken and Goblins are fiercely pragmatic and don't see value in it, that Sin'dorei don't really seem to feel strongly about it, and that the Alliance view of what constitutes honor is different from the Kalimdor Horde, though they both cherish the notion. Sylvanas disdain for honor is understandable considering she fought and died honorably, and she got jack shit in return (in her point of view. It might be debatable in reality). She didn't save her people and she damned herself. Saurfang on the other hand saw what happened when the Orcs gave up on their traditional values and doesn't want the same mistakes repeated. That's completely relatable. I always find stories/characters that make me question my perspective on things interesting, and I'm hoping (perhaps foolishly) that Blizz will be able to deliver a conflict, not only within the Horde but also against the Alliance, where my mindset will be "Yes, I relate to this point of view" followed by "Yes, I also relate to the opposite". | Spirit of Eche'ro mount quest from Archaeology is up! Posted: 14 Feb 2018 01:47 AM PST Pick up the quest for it from Dalaran (you only need 1/800 archaeology btw) Go to Highmountain to turn the quest in and pick up the next quest. You need 600 pieces for the quest and loot 1-3 from each node and ~15 from rare spawns during archaeology. Good luck everyone! Link to mount: http://www.wowhead.com/item=131734/spirit-of-echero The quest is up for 2 weeks starting today and may not be available for the next 6 months! Available both in EU and NA [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 14 Feb 2018 05:02 AM PST It seems like every time I'm given a quest I always end up having to kill Harpies. Fucking Harpies. They're so annoying. Every damn zone in Legion has harpies. Please Blizzard, no more Harpies in BFA. [link] [comments] | ||
