Increase BP from Squads

Posted: 24 Feb 2018 01:34 AM PST

The Battle Points received from squad games are way too low. As a person who practically only plays squads, it takes an incredibly long time to stack up points. After a 2nd place squad game, with 6 kills in my name, I received 267 points. That, in my opinion, is far too low for the time and effort put into that game. At that rate it would take 1.5 hours just to be able to afford the first weekly crate which is 700 BP. Whereas I could do 1 solo game and most likely be guaranteed more than 267 points for not even making top 10.

For people that play squads, there is very little reward based on time spent playing this game except for the occasional "Chicken Dinner".

Edit: I understand that I could just go play solos for points, but I have many irl friends that I squad with when I'm able to play which means I have very little reason to play solo games.

I just bought these foot pedals for leaning/peeking

Some days, you just die each game you play. Then, there’s days like this and this happens.

It was all down to James Bond.

I also wanted foot pedals for PUBG, so I built some! (Details inside)

Right now Blue Zone is accomplishing the opposite of the intended effect on Miramar.

Posted: 24 Feb 2018 08:56 AM PST

Proposal: Damage from circle should significantly differ between fast side vs. slow side.

The Blue Zone is supposed to create a better gaming experience by forcing players into a zone in which to have engagements.

I understand the logic behind the recent changes: To add more incentive to get in the zone in a timely fashion. Makes sense.

But instead, people on fast side are just left to play running simulator and in games with extreme edge circles often people across the map are just screwed no matter what. (On both maps, but especially on Miramar)

If I land Valle de Mar and first circle is over El Azahar then I only have a few moments to loot before I need to start running.

So I rush into the zone with shit loot, show up half health. And then what? How does that make the experience better?

People stuck on fast side of the circle should take much less damage than the people blessed with slow side.

Slow siders don't have an excuse. They are right there, and can even outrun the wall. Fast side people not only can't outrun the wall but have a long way to go. This needs to be accounted for. RNG is part of this game, but being screwed 3 minutes into a game is lame.

Is it a spawn? - Real life Pubg Vehicle

I don't even know how to explain this... So I made it into a meme

I'm new to this game on PC. People say to drop in hot places to practice but I'm dying to fast to practice at all. How did you guys get better when you started out?

Posted: 24 Feb 2018 01:56 AM PST

As of right now I have 37 solo matches played and only 6 kills. I'm not doing something right. (I do have 1 top 10 though so that's something I guess)

Edit: thanks for all the responses! I'll definietly take different approaches to getting better now.

Can we get increased support for custom key binds?

Posted: 24 Feb 2018 07:13 AM PST

The default keybinds have some properties that doesn't translate well when you customize your keybinds. The issue is when one bind has multiple purposes in different situations. For example:

For example, the scroll wheel is by default used for:

  • Next/previous weapon

  • Zoom on scope

  • Map zoom

All these works independently, but if you change a scroll wheel keybinding that won't be the case.

  • When bind 'vault' to scroll up, you can no longer zoom with your weapon. It doesn't seem necessary to be able to vault when I'm scoped in with an 8x scope.

  • When you bind 'primary weapon 1/2' to scroll up/down, you will swap your weapon when zooming on the map (both happens). This doesn't happen when the very similar action "previous/next weapon" is bound to the scroll wheel.

Basically, it seems like how keybindings are prioritized is sort of hard-coded to work with the default keybindings, in a way that breaks apart when using customized bindnings. It would be nice to have better support for custom key bindings.

Feel free to add your own examples of custom keybind combinations that don't work properly.

I'd love a map-making tool.

Posted: 24 Feb 2018 06:43 AM PST

I don't see the maps in PUBG as anything special, and think a user-centered approach could be both beneficial and fun. Thoughts?
