| [Guide]How to make your ESO colorblind-friendly. Posted: 14 Feb 2018 09:36 PM PST I've got Protanopia, meaning that I'm red-blind. As such, ESO, along with many other titles are a little difficult to work with. Another redditor asked me about making a guide for colorblind players, so I figured I could throw something together. I'm going to break this into sections. There are several ways to make games more friendly to the colorblind, but some are only available on PC or even specific hardware. As such I'll be listing what techniques can be used by what systems. Monitor/TV settings (PC, PS4, XBONE): This is often neglected. A big part of dealing with colorblindness in a colorblind world is calibrating your display. The more color and shade gradient you can eke out, the easier it will be to tell similar colors apart. If you're on Windows just search for Calibrate Display Color and follow the steps. On Mac it's just called Display Calibrator Assistant and does the same thing. On PS4 and XBONE this is still pretty easy. Follow the instructions to calibrate your television. You'll need to burn a DVD of the free software, but it can be run from your PS4 or XBONE directly as if it's a movie. After that's well and done, remember the contrast and saturation values you calibrated at. Playing with your contrast/saturation may help. For me about 20% extra saturation lets me differentiate a little better. This will vary person to person, so just fool with it until you find a setting that works for you. In-Game Options (PC, PS4, XBONE): In the game options you can change the color of danger zones to any RGB value that suits your fancy. Personally I like light blue. While not optimal, the HP, Stamina, and Magicka bars are actually fine, as they have a white bar that runs through the middle of them and the option to add numbers and percentages. Not perfect but no need to change them. There is nothing to help with power-up attack colors (interruptible vs not), group HP bars, or loot rarity. NVidia Freestyle (PC users with NVidia video cards): This software essentially does the same thing as ReShade or SweetFX. In short, it's a filter that color-shifts the software it runs over. If you have an NVidia card (750ti is the cutoff I believe) I highly recommend using this software. It's not superior to ReShade, but it's easy and allows on-the-fly adjustment. It's got a colorblind filter you can use, with Protanopia, Deuteranopia, and Tritanopia settings on a slider to adjust for various levels of color deficiency. I've got very bad Protanopia, so I put it to 100% and add an extra 20% saturation. I can't express how much easier it is to differentiate colors with that. Has a minimal performance impact. ReShade (PC): Essentially the same thing as Freestyle, but without on-the-fly adjustment or nice easy sliders. It is however, more flexible and powerful. Using ReShade will take a lot of adjustment, trial, and error to get right for colorblindness. It's hard to color balance without seeing color properly, but it's better than no control at all. In the end though, you should be able to produce comparable or better results to the Freeshade solution. Has a minimal performance impact. UI Mods (PC): There are too many of these to count, but essentially you can replace nearly the entire game's User Interface with mods, and most of them support custom colors. Game effects aren't changed, but at least all the bars make sense. I use AUI for the group HP bars and minimap/quest tracker personally. The base game player bars have a white stripe down the center so they're actually colorblind friendly. The group ones don't. [link] [comments] | ||||||||||

| PC NA Server. Unexpected Internal Error?? Posted: 14 Feb 2018 06:55 PM PST Can anyone tell me what to do? Been playing the game for months before this all the sudden happened. Whenever I click the "Login" button it loads then a screen pops up saying: " An unexpected internal error has occurred. Please visit help.elderscrollsonline.com" I went on the site and nothing works.. It will let me switch to the EU server and it works fine but NA won't work... Any help?? Thanks! ******Edit: This was shown on: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/395789/internal-error/p2 The issues related to Steam players logging in to the North American and European PC/Mac megaservers have been resolved at this time. If you continue to experience difficulties at login, please restart your client. Thank you for your patience! However, I've restarted the client and it still isn't working..? | [PC] Character load time extremely long after patch, is it just me? Posted: 14 Feb 2018 04:31 PM PST Logging in with a character takes forever now, and loading to other zones takes a bit longer than it used to. Is it just my computer or are other people experiencing the same thing? [link] [comments] | ||||||||||
| Posted: 14 Feb 2018 05:24 AM PST Is there any way possible we could get a bunch of the community(console) to bug Bethesda and the boys to put in a damn search menu in the guild traders? I'm sick of having to go thru 30+ pages of auctions just to find out what I'm looking for isnt in this specific guild trader. [link] [comments] | ||||||||||

| [PC] Requesting a minor change to character creation that will have a positive impact. Posted: 14 Feb 2018 08:19 PM PST The best thing about this game is that you can play your character literally any way you want. You can be a sorcerer that fights with blades or a knight that uses a staff. In between there are many combinations. Devs, you clearly wanted your players to have freedom of choice. The players all applaud that I'm certain of it. There is one easy change that I hope wouldn't negatively affect the lore of the game. I request that you give players the option to make a dark skinned Breton & Nord. Lore wise it should be possible in the history of Bretons and Nords to have interracial marriage & families. The same is true for the history of Redguards which would explain why it is possible to create a fair skinned Redguard character. My family is interracial. I only noticed this disparity when I tried to create a dark skinned Nord and role play as someone who has a fair skinned Father, but I couldn't. The option is not there at this time. I'm sure there are other interracial families out there who are proud of their heritage and want to add it to their role playing experience. Thanks for reading Devs! [link] [comments] | ||||||||||

| Posted: 14 Feb 2018 11:19 PM PST I have NO clue on how to even craft a set of armor, especially things like Julianos, Hundings etc. Also, when i try to craft something, let's say in Blacksmithing, I can only create level 1 stuff. But my Blacksmithing level is 10 right now? I'm trying to make this character a crafter, but I am completely lost. Any help would be appreciated. [link] [comments] | ||||||||||
| Posted: 14 Feb 2018 10:43 PM PST Is there a way to buy stuff in CS as gifts to someone? I want to send my friend something for his birthday, I knew I could do that in FFXIV but can I do the same in ESO? [link] [comments] | ||||||||||
| Out fitting challenge *nightingale* Posted: 14 Feb 2018 11:55 PM PST hey hey hey all my brother and I share an ESO account and we play on separate characters. Due to the new update and the outfitting system he wants to have nightingale armour (exactly like skyrim). He has had trouble finding exact pieces and he is using a few ebonshadow pieces yet some of them look nothing alike. Can anyone see if they can piece together a replica of the stealth lord armour and post a pic here? Ty all. [link] [comments] | ||||||||||
| Are there any inventory bugs without using homestead storage? Posted: 15 Feb 2018 03:22 AM PST I know people have been losing gear they put in storage coffers after deleting their bank alts, but is that the scope of this bug? If I move all my dungeon gear to my bank or another toon, is it safe to delete my bank mule? [link] [comments] | ||||||||||
