If anyone wants to join in, you're more than welcome to. | About the Beta Patch. How the game will render long range targets? Question details in-topic. Posted: 10 Feb 2018 05:55 AM PST Have you ever fought targets over 1km in DayZ? Using a binocular you can spot people at that distance but you will notice some weird stuff happening in their render. I had an encounter using a Mosin and PU Scope once, noticed pixels moving at about 900+ meters away from my position, decided to take shots, turns out the pixels where players and they started running away, going all the way to 1300+ Meters, I was in Stary, they where in Novy, they never saw me, didn't return fire or anything, just ran away, luckily I was not alone this time, and my team mates intercepted them at Novy north-side forest. As of now you can only see like a little white dot, literally two pixels in your screen moving around when facing people at this distance. My question is: How will this situation be addressed in DayZ Beta? Will we be able to actually see small figures of player models or are you guys keeping the pixel approach to this scenario where the magnification of the scope isn't enough to close-in to the target from such a huge distance? I don't have the passion I used to, to just run around, loot, and be killed. So my question is, is there any active Arma 3 mods right now? & also is there a DayZ mod community still?
