This hero is so annoying to play against especially when he has a roamer with him he burns my regen so fast spaming his q , so aside from magic wand,pugna and support rotation can u suggest some heros that can survive mid against him

Tactical differences between Turbo and regular?

So I've been thinking a bit about how and why Turbo works differently to regular DOTA games, and I thought I'd start a bit of a discussion on it.

What are the impacts of the Turbo rules (primarily, gold and XP gains are doubled and respawn times are shorter, plus personal super-fast courier) on what regular DOTA tactics do or don't work, in your experience?

Initial thoughts:

  • Super-courier plus increased gold means that harass in lane is much less effective - it's almost impossible to force someone out of lane.
  • Conversely, being out of lane is much worse, particularly in the early stages of the game, because you're losing almost 400g per wave.
  • I think that faster respawn timers combined with XP and gold doubling mean that fighting gets you more than farming if there's a significant amount of fighting going on.
  • Doubled XP means that kills can reward a pretty ridiculous amount of XP later in the game.
  • Everyone gets six-slotted if the game goes much past 20 minutes, meaning that super-hard carries have a significant advantage there, and supports a significant disadvantage. Lack of farm on the map is less of a consideration in team composition.
  • Cooldowns on TP scrolls and BoTs is halved. I'm not sure quite what that does to the game, but it's interesting.
  • Cooldowns on other abilities are unchanged (AFAIK). I think this means that long-cooldown items and abilities are much less useful.

What do you think? What tactical differences have you spotted?

Battlefury PL?

I kinda understand why bf is picked up on pl and it's situational but why do most bf pl's not build diffusal after?Opinions on shadowblade on pl?I think its pretty good on both diffusal pl's and bf pl's,is it worth it to upgrade to silver edge if there is nothing important to break?

Aghs needed on Pugna?

I always see guides and people in pubs pushing for Pugna to rush aghs after aether nens. Yeah aghs is good but I feel like an item such as bkb would get the job done better as you can actually get your ult off or maybe a euls/force would be more useful. Thoughts?

How to Beat - Better Teams

Good day all,

I am looking for some help and tips when it comes to playing against teams that are straight out better than you.

There have been many pro-scene examples where a weaker team somehow topples the giants and I am wondering how this is done.

Do you draft comfort heroes and stick to what you play? Do you draft simple combos? Do you try and cheese them with something you and your team have perfected that might throw a loop?

I have ideas of what I would like to do but hopefully there are fellow players here that can either strengthen my ideas or provide me with simpler options to take on bigger fish and learn from the games.
