I like Skyrim. I like the Witcher. There was only one thing to do. Meet Geralt of Riverwood.

Something all thieves can probably relate to

You always crouch down in a room before stealing even if you are completely alone juuuust so you can be sure you won't have ten guards chasing you through the rest of the hold.

Question about Enchanting

Posted: 18 Jan 2018 07:06 AM PST

Good day.

I got a little question about enchanting. Technically two but it comes onto the same. So the first perk of the enchanting tree says that "New enchantments are x% stronger" Now does that mean when you enchant an item or learn an enchantment. The second part of this question is learning enchantments, if I take for example two items, both with fortify smithing, but one has 5% and the other 50% or something. Do they both give the same amount of % when you learn the enchantment? Or does the 50% one let you learn the enchantment with a higher %? This part of enchanting is a bit confusing to be so any explanation and help would be appreciated.

Riverwood inn residents hostile and I don't know why.

Posted: 18 Jan 2018 08:00 AM PST

Upon returning from an adventure I enter the inn and battle music is playing. I have no clue what I've done or if it's a mod or something. But I don't have vampirism and the guards outside are non hostile. But I walk in the inn and everyone is fleeing from me and Lydia attacks the hostile person. Is there a console command to calm everyone? I've reloaded as far back as possible and nothing. I'm super annoyed

Thanks

Uodate: upon waiting everything is normal now. Sorry

Recommend Builds?

Posted: 18 Jan 2018 07:30 AM PST

Hey this is my first time on this sub and I would like some builds. I've played through Skyrim a few times before now. I'd like to have some structure this time. I normally did Jack Of All trade builds. Some of my preferred skills are restoration and smithing. I like keeping myself alive and making good armor and weapons. If you have any ideas please let me know. Thank you for your help

My in game sound is outputting to the wrong speakers...

Posted: 18 Jan 2018 06:28 AM PST

Yesterday I returned from work and saw that Windows wanted to install the Creators Update. I let that run and came back later to fire up SSE. I typically output to a mid range Phillips TV via HDMI, and haven't had any problems with the game in the few months I've been playing this way.

When I launch the game I hear the first few drum beats play as normal, through the TV speakers. Then as the Menu loads, the audio from the TV goes quiet and switches back to my laptop speakers.

I've looked through every in game setting I can find and spent an hour googling and tweaking the audio settings on my computer. Nothing seems to help.

The odd thing is that, while this audio glitch is occurring, I can alt-tab into Chrome and that audio does output through the TV speakers.

I searched around and read about many different audio bugs/glitches. Nothing I found provided fixes that worked. Has anyone else experienced this?
