| Posted: 15 Dec 2017 02:07 PM PST Anyone that knows Pitlord knows just how fun the hero can be, but if you're feeling that the Mek carrying Aura master is getting old, give this a shot. So I've had some success with this build mid in the mid 4K bracket and it's just too fun not to share. You go your classic Pitlord farming items, whichever you prefer be it Arcanes or Tranquil/Soul ring. Next item is Euls followed by the item everyone seems to be scratching their head about, meteor hammer. The combo is pit, firestorm, euls, channel meteor hammer. The way the combo plays out you may have already figured out, but you pit them so they are rooted, then drop the firestorm on them. The moment they unroot you euls them and channel meteor hammer. Euls ends, they are immediately rooted in place for a guaranteed hammer stun. They unroot, but are not yet unstunned, so by the time the stun wears off they eat the last root before the pit disappears. I've been able to delete some carries that were way ahead at the beginning of a teamfight with this combo, and I'd say the casting distance talent is pretty core to this play style letting you get the combo off in relative safety. I have not tried aether lense yet but I believe this would be over kill and could be gold well spent in other items. A blink works well here if you are way ahead for obvious reasons. All that said you guys know enough to already see the weaknesses. Completely countered by Linkens, BKB, etc. I'd like to hear your thoughts after giving this build a go a few times, it's a really fun way to play the hero, and I could see a luxury refresher being used for an even longer cc duration or to completely combo two back to back heroes. | Need Tips for ''All Hero Challenge'' - Huskar Posted: 15 Dec 2017 12:20 PM PST Greetings people. I decided to do all-hero challenge because it looked fun, and because I just restarted playing maybe 2 months ago after having been gone since Dota on WC3 (yeah). So I had a lot to relearn, and recently I decided to start that in unranked mode to get to know the new heroes and change to old ones. In general, I always do less # of game then the average to get to win. Mostly it takes one game, or two if I played badly. It can take more, but generally it's because I had no clue what the hero was about (ex: Earth Spirit) or I had players even worst than me paired with me (ex: took 3 game with QOP and DK, but each time I think I did well, even having positive scores etc.). But now I'm completely stuck on Huskar. I think I lost like 5-6 times now with him. I checked guides, tested different build, looked at pro player videos playing him etc. and I have NO IDEA what I'm doing wrong. Maybe I don't understand a mechanic, maybe my build order is wrong, maybe I'm too aggressive, or not enough. And I didn't loose like 3-3-10 with my team being just behind. I loose big time, like 3-14-something. I need ALL THE TIPS you can give me about him. Thank you. [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 15 Dec 2017 07:52 AM PST Hey, I've been raising my mmr slowly over like 1-2 years. 2.2->3.7 solo and 2.3->4.4 party. I've been enjoying party queue the most and constantly want to improve me and my friends. To the point, I'm having trouble deciding roles. I've been playing both 1 and 2 with good results, with my most played being invoker, ember and meepo. Thing is, i swap like every other day because my friends dont mind me playing whatever I want, but I feel like i need to have a "main" role, to learn faster. What do i do? How does one decide? I keep swapping every other day I enjoy farming, when playing mid im often still the greediest hero, which works well with my preferred heroes. We're a fun stack, but want to play coming battle cups, hence the words "more serious". I realize versatility is good, but i want to focus on one role 90% of the games instead of 50/50.
