Posted: 09 Dec 2017 09:26 PM PST My rich explorer about 3 months in got raided by a large group. Lock fights to the death with his charge rifle and Warg companion, Nora. The first raider fires at him with an assault rifle hitting Lock in his non- bionic arm, activating his smoke belt. Lock used this opportunity to reposition in the smoke. Nora, seeing her master in distress, attacks the 3 raiders in a fit of rage. She badly wounds the sniper while lock fires at the other two. Nora gets downed during all of this. Lock is hit again, this time in the torso. He is bleeding out, 2 hours away from death according to the game. He takes one last shot at the raiders, killing one of them. Although the raiders are winning the fight, their moral is destroyed. They begin to flee. Seeing this, Lock swiftly rescues Nora, tending to her before tending to himself. This was a mistake, his kindness ended in his torso wound getting infected. With no medicine to stave off the infection he was surely going to die. The infection was at 85% while his immunity was at a mere 58. He was in severe pain, his movement slowed. but then Lock remembered. On the first week of his arrival he dug into a ruins, with cryptosleep containers. With his last bit of strength he crawled to the ruins. Opened the container and got into it for as long as he needed. (I decide to watch YouTube on my phone waiting for something to happen) About 20ish minutes real life time later, a message pops up. "Refugee chased at colony" Lock wakes up disoriented. A man had opened his cryptosleep casket. He is clearly distraught and claims raiders are chasing him. Lock gets up, still walking at barely a crawl. Before he can get to an area to fire, he is downed from the pain. Wade picks up his charge rifle and easily dispatches the club wielding raider. Realizing that Lock needed the cryptosleep container to remain alive, he puts him back in, until he has the medical capabilities to combat the infection. And so the colony lives on. btw Nora lived. Should constant beating of prisoners be used to prevent prison break? Posted: 09 Dec 2017 08:45 PM PST When they are healthy, they tend to try breaking out. What if I just constantly beat them up? Then they are always injured and wouldnt wanna try anything silly. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 09 Dec 2017 06:51 PM PST Since there are now feral humans, wouldn't a cool event be a manhunter pack made up of feral humans? [link] [comments] |

What Rimworld mods are overpowered? Posted: 09 Dec 2017 11:23 PM PST I'm specifically talking version B18. VGP Garden Gourmet comes to mind for me. [link] [comments] |

Is romance still as weird as it used to be? Posted: 10 Dec 2017 12:11 AM PST I haven't touch Rimworld in a long time (almost a year) and I remember that romance used to be annoying. Colonist kept trying to charm uninterested pawn which led to mood debuffs. Gay colonist only made matter worse since they never understood they had 0 chance. Are these issues fixed in the current version? I skimmed through the patch notes, but didn't find anything. [link] [comments] |
Speculation on the origins of manhunter animals on the Rim? Posted: 09 Dec 2017 07:58 PM PST Manhunting rats is probably the most ridiculous event you can get in the game. Stuff like raids, even meteorites dropping out of the sky is explainable but a pack of manhunting squirrels? That's just weird and random on so many levels... [link] [comments] |
How do I keep wild animals from eating my Devilstrand? Posted: 09 Dec 2017 08:32 PM PST Like, really? Ugh. I've lost 5 mushrooms already and they're not 75% done. At this rate I won't have a harvest of Devilstrand. EDIT: IT WAS THE DAMN SQUIRREL THAT SELF-TAMED THAT WAS EATING THEM. WE'RE EATING SQUIRREL TONIGHT. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 09 Dec 2017 03:53 PM PST Then I shot a muffallo and he and his merry friends of murderous animals slaughtered my entire village. gg Good to be back though. Hillarious how a near perfect start can go straight down the shitter in literally 20 seconds :P [link] [comments] |

Posted: 10 Dec 2017 01:31 AM PST Hello, I've recently played this game on pirated copy and I loved it so i want to buy it but the cost of game on Steam is more than what I can afford right now, so I wonder, does this game ever be on sales? So that I can buy it on the next sale at least. [link] [comments] |
