Rainbow Six Toxicity Reporting

We want to make it clear to players that racism, hate speech, and harassment are not tolerated in Rainbow Six Siege, as outlined by our Code of Conduct, and will result in your account being banned. We are working on better ways for players to report this behavior, and improving monitoring tools to help manage this. Ultimately, our goal is, if you use racist or harassing speech in our game, you will not be allowed to play our game.

Report Toxic Behavior Button

With Operation White Noise, we have implemented a Report Toxic Behavior button on PC. This will flag your account and initiate an investigation. If the investigation finds actions that violate our Code of Conduct, appropriate action will be taken, including permanent bans.

Toxicity Banning

It should be noted that no one will be banned solely because the Toxic Report button. However, in the near future, we will be doing ban waves based on players who frequently use language that breaks the Code of Conduct. We understand Siege is an intense game and can be emotional, so some mature language will be expressed. However, when a player uses our game to spread hate, racism, or bigotry, that player will not be able to play our game. In extreme cases, players will not receive a warning for their language, and will be permanently banned.

Team Killing Sanctions

Team killing is a challenging issue to tackle, as friendly fire is a key part of the game. Accidents happen, but when someone is using that feature to grief another player, that is when we will step in. While the current iteration of the Report Toxic Behavior button will not be used for team killing, we are working on a more refined process to address team killing. We cannot go into more details now, but it will be focused on addressing extreme cases of team killing.

So we all know your (not so) sneaky boi has some issues. Everyone talks about his mask or his 3 speed sneaky roam flow. But seriously no joke Vigil scares me.

Not because of how he looks or his meme-cannon shotty. To give you a hint, his chibi weapon charm looks literally psychotic. People are saying the charm kind of stands out as edgy and unfitting. I disagree.

Vigil scares me, because I quickly realized when he talks(in his creepy monotone voice).......he is talking to himself. His bio/psychological profile is consistent with schizophrenia. Its even mentioned in the game that he has antisocial tendencies. But Vigil is so disconnected, that it feels like he isnt even human. Its terrifying because Siege is such a team oriented game, that even other psychos like Fuze, Cav and Smonk have some sort of connection to their team/meta. But Vigil, man, he just has this dark aura about his Schizoid personality. Team kill the hosty? He feels nothing. Glaz outside on the wing? Vigil feels no fear of death.

"Vigil they are securing the container!"

Doki may be the Goblin, but Vigil is the thing that keeps you up at night.

Thinking of buying Siege this Christmas? Avoid the Starter Edition!

Planning on buying Siege for yourself/a friend/a loved one this Christmas?

If so, please be sure to avoid the starter edition. It's slightly cheaper than the standard edition, but it's a much worse experience. Rather than the usual ~30 minute renown grind per operator, the game increases the cost of every single one, meaning you can play for countless hours just to unlock a single one.

It will completely affect the enjoyment of the early stages of the game, as you'll be stuck playing the same tiny selection of characters until you finally manage to afford another. In the base game, this isn't an issue at all.
