QoL improvements? How about hire 1 or 2 GM's to combat rampant botting?

Posted: 28 Dec 2017 02:49 PM PST

I don't understand how with all the money Zenimax is raking in with their crates and all the DLC/expansions this year that it is so difficult for them to put just a little of that back into the game to hire 1 or 2 GM's.

Even if all they did was visit just two areas: Karthdar, Grahtwood and Percolating Mire, Shadowfen, and even if they only did it once a week (or hell, once a MONTH) even THAT would be better than THIS:

Bots in ESO 12-28-2017

There is simply no reason for them to continually allow this level of abuse and exploitative botting in this game.

Something needs to be done and after reporting, and even WRITING MY OWN ADDON to report these people for months, I for one want to know why NOTHING APPEARS TO BE GETTING DONE ABOUT IT?

If you ban them you give customers investing a lot of money in your game the impression you care and are serious about quality of service. This will result in them being more likely to tell their friends about the game, and in turn, free word of mouth advertising for you.

You really don't want the sort of publicity this gets you guys.

Plus if you ban them they have to BUY MORE ACCOUNTS. Hello. Win-win. The GM's will pay for themselves.

Seriously ZOS, do yourselves a favor!

Two days in ESO

Posted: 28 Dec 2017 05:26 PM PST

I'm a veteran in Elder Scrolls – started playing Daggerfall in 1999 (Yes, almost 19 years ago). I couldn't wait any longer for ES VI, so few days ago I have decided to give a go ESO.

It's better than I thought!

In general, it seems to be easier to play, or rather harder to get into problems, if you know what you are doing.

I particularly like how much better technically it works on my PC comparing to Skyrim. I have a kind of standard all-in-one desktop with a common graphic card. In Skyrim the fan goes bonkers, but playing ESO my computer seems to like.

I'm a bit disappointed with interactions between players. Almost nobody wants to talk, they just gallop on horses through towns. But there are some funny people as well (there was a naked crowd dancing in Daggerfall yesterday). I've got a gift from a random person as well, "because I look like a beggar".

The annoying part of the game are pets. You go to the forge and there is a dozen people with pets. You don't even know where to look – they should be called pests. Second thing is a lack of tutorial for the main menu. I mean I did figure it out after while, but if someone is completely new, then may have a problem. It took me few hours to learn what is where and how to move items or apply them (for example I didn't see anything about enchanting and that you need to right-click the item).

I'm kind of slow player – I read everything and take notes in my notepad. For 5 hours I played just to see how it works, then I deleted the character and created a new one. Another 8 hours with a new character and I'm L8 Breton Warden dedicated to magic – it's a brilliant class for me, as I was always playing that style in ES.

Overall I love it.

Item Lists: Colored Lights and Crystals!

[SPOILER] So I just finished the Orsinium main quest for the first time...

Posted: 28 Dec 2017 09:47 AM PST

That was the best story to a game I have ever experienced and it wasn't even the game's main storyline... The plot twists were perfectly executed in every way, never seeming ridiculous or niche. The characters had incredible and unique personalities. I seriously enjoyed it so much that I wish I could experience it again but pay more attention to the dialogue this time.

Feeling Immortal

Posted: 28 Dec 2017 04:41 PM PST

So a few months ago I get into a discussion on here with a guy about a build I've had in mind for so long. It's an Orc NB tank. I had given him, originally, ebon armory set, bloodspawn, and a crafted tank set. He was fun... but just not so good in pvp. After talking with this guy I am pointed in the direction of gear that is more along the original idea with my Orc. As of today I completed the final piece of gear, making 5pc beekeeper, 5pc Orgnum scales, two piece Troll King. Then today I tested it out in pvp with a couple buddies. We ran around capping resources for EP because DC was too abundant to actually take a keep. After linking up with a bigger group we actually make a push. Bombarding BRK with siege and actually busting all the way in for the cap. Unfortunately we just didn't have the numbers.m and were routed. But I didn't die the whole time. I was in the thick of things not killing very much, but I finally felt like a real hero pushing in for a capture and not just one of the noobs getting carried. I even 2v1 against a former empress healer with some damage dealer and fought to a stand still as the EP was retreating. I've been waiting for a long time to feel like I can actually be of assistance in Cyrodiil and today I felt it.

How is the connection for SEA players?

Posted: 29 Dec 2017 02:36 AM PST

Thinking about buying it but I'm unsure about the delays.

I play GW2, usually on slow hours (morning here, evening in Us) I have about 250ish ping. Although lately I'm only getting 350-400 MS. Hopefully it's just the inflated servers during holiday season.

So yeah, how's the connection for SEA?

Thanks.

Grinding zombies with a cp300. Wow!

Posted: 28 Dec 2017 08:17 PM PST

This guy was rounding up and destroying packs of zombies with aoe spells. I started following him around, trying to help. He asked me to join and i was getting crazy xp with bredas mug. I went from l33 to l37 in about 20 minutes.

Does everyone get this powerful? (Can kill 20 mobs at once) or just mages?

If i form a group with 4 ppl, and we do the same work as that super mage, will we get the same xp? Or is it divided? Looks like having grind buddies is the only way to power level.

[PC] Upgrading from Tamriel Unlimited to Gold Edition

Posted: 29 Dec 2017 01:58 AM PST

So i have a standard edition of ESO without any DLC and i would like to buy Gold Edition just for the DLC. But from what i heard that Tamriel Unlimited and Gold Edition are completely different game so does that mean i have to make a new ESO account and download for the Gold Edition ? Guilds and Glory DLC Pack cost 5.5k crowns or $24 but the Gold Edition only cost $15

Noob question

Posted: 29 Dec 2017 03:10 AM PST

Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen, First off, i would like to say how much i am enjoying playing! the game is so vast and it is a real fun experience so far. However, a question if i may, me and my partner have both picked this up with the morrowind expansion. On the back of this we have both started in Vvardenfell(sp?)

Is there any issues with us both starting here? I've played Wow in the past and they always feed you through your racial starting area which familiarises you with some base concepts in the game and crafting etc. If we were to return to whatever the vanilla game is where would we start? I am argonian and her a high elf (we have the adventurer pack) would we be seperated to racial zones? or can we continue to play together?

And finally, once we are finished in Vvardenfell if we are able to just continue here do we get a quest to start us off on the vanilla content? if not where do we start?

tl;dr Good Game Are we impacted negatively starting with morrowing content? How do we start vanilla content

Thank you for any help in advance

Hi, guys. I'm not a western. some days ago, when I was farming sets in the delve, someone came and asked for trade, he gave me 1 gold for nothing. So my question is what he means. Because I refused. Sorry for the poor English.

Stamblade: Switch from TH to DW

Posted: 29 Dec 2017 01:48 AM PST

Hi all. I want to make the sensible switch from TH to DW as a Stamblade (Bow in the back).

My only concern and serious dilemma is, how on earth do I stay alive? My TH gives me an amazing damage shield with Brawler. That goes bye bye with DW. How do I keep breathing?

Platform differences for playability?

Posted: 28 Dec 2017 09:55 PM PST

Looking to get into this supposedly great game, want to know if there are any serious considerations for playability/cost for pc vs. console (ps4 specifically). Things like button/skill mapping limits, sub cost, playerbase etc. Totally fair pointing me in the direction you aren't to avoid yet another noob.
