LGD will go into reshuffle soon .

It was a weibo by LGD manager - Fei

The content:

It was a happy day as it's the inauguration of our stadium (LGD stadium) as well as Somnus' birthday , however our results had been in a slump where we feel guilty to our fans who stayed up late to watch our games , many people actually pmed me about it .

It is a truth that the atmosphere among the team is in a mess , bad drafts and lacking of strategy had turned us into a not-so-competitive team , we tried to get away with some minor roster change ( Victoria --> QQQ/ 357 ) since MDL but apparently it did not work well at all .

Lacking of synergy and bad results had built up the trust conflict among the team members. Me, as a person who have been into team management for more than 3 years, I understand only result matters , we apologise for the bad results and will try to make changes accordingly.

The team will go into a shuffle once they reach their team house , we have contacted 4 players for trying-out and we will try to come out with the most suitable rosters. Further details about the team shuffle will be announced soon when the team comes back .

We will come back stronger .

The biggest flaw in the new player experience is the Limited Hero pool itself

Posted: 16 Dec 2017 10:50 AM PST

Helped introduce my younger cousin to DotA. His first game had the 25 hero pool limit, I said "You need to learn the basics". I thought it was great and all, but then the enemy picked heroes that weren't in the 25. As expected they got dumpstered. And the game after that as well. Even I tried to help him in one game by playing in his stead, the counters were not present in the 25, ESPECIALLY the support section.

Why are new players forced to play 25 "basic" heroes while getting matched with others who have access to all 100+? Wasn't this one of the main selling points to DotA over League? That new players would have access to everything at the very beginning?

No wonder the main complaint was "DotA is hard to learn". They already have inexperience against them, the limited tools is added on top of that.

Should sacred really be blamed for their performance?

Posted: 16 Dec 2017 04:30 AM PST

On paper, they lost 6 out of 6 games. They didn't really challenge their opponents in most of their games.

However - arn't OG and VP considered the most probable teams to win this tourney? Of course there are other great teams but judging on recent results.. sacred were grouped with the last minor winner and a team that won a major around 1-2 months ago.

Not saying they were amazing, but perhaps many respected teams would have finished 0-6 in that group.

Don't hate you guys. Let's motivate regions to keep on improving instead of turning their lights out.
