CSGO Prize money went from $9mil to $46mil in one year.

A year or so ago I posted this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/3zhdvf/cs_16_totalled_1000000_more_in_prizes_than_csgo/

When I posted it, CSGO had 1207 tourneys with a total of $9.7million.

Today CSGO has 2964 tourneys with a total of $46.2million.

Pretty cool growth I thought I would share. And its almost past League of Legends Prize Pool.

Happy about SIXER: "I think it is a whole, one must not forget that a lot of his confidence problems came from the community, that was bringing him down after each game, no matter if he was performing in the team or not."

Trusted Matchmaking is a horrible experience so far. sorry.

Posted: 29 Dec 2017 04:18 PM PST

I know, it is just another salty cry thread, but I have to do it. god forgive me.

you know I am always open for new stuff Valve implements into this beautiful game. I tried out every beta update so far, and I liked most of this stuff, especially HRTF.

but so far, Trusted Matchmaking keeps on disappointing me. how is it possible that we (me, Lvl 101 on Steam, ton of hours in a bunch of games, plays a LOT, lot of +reps and what not, and my friends with pretty much same stats) keep getting matched against classic smurf accounts? we played 3 games today, the first 2 with Trusted MM. and in those 2 games 8 out of 10 enemies were smurfs. I mean REAL smurfs. 1 game on account, level 2, 1 year old, 150 hours ingame. except for one smurf, that guy already had 1500h.

ofc they destroyed us, aim on point, only headshots. now, those guy were smurfs and maybe had some silent aim on, idk. after that, we switched over to Prime and we got a real nice game with equal enemies. we won 16-13, no salt at all. the guys on the other side had very legit accounts too.

so, know I wonder how tf is that possible? Trusted MM is SUPPOSED to keep Smurfs away from you, but it just does not work for us. yeah I know, there are enough people on this sub who might have a better experience and yeah, maybe the system still needs more input and improvement, but literally every other game we play on trusted MM is horrible.

we will stick to Prime from now on.
