So i just bought DayZ while it was on discount, and i only have 10 hours so i dont know much, so i would like to know what are the best guns, clothes, backpacks. meelee weapons. And some good loot places, if anyone could recommend a First person only,good loot EU server. Thanks :D

Does Tanning Leather Work Yet in Experimental/Normal?

When I last tried (~4 months ago) to tan leather in a barrel, I was able to get the "tan hide" option, however the contents simply disappeared. I did this twice to confirm it doesn't work.

I was curious if any players have attempted or had any success with this process lately.

Are trees and flora still due to get reworked textures?

I thought they had mentioned that the models/textures of bush and three foliage were going to be revamped? Not talking about the new variety of trees and bushes but the actual foliage.

For about 2 years now if I turn on alpha to coverage I get a noticeable dithering effect with the foliage and grass. The spruce trees are particularly bad bc there is a blue mesh that shimmers as you move. I've had this issue with 3 amd graphics cards and I know in the past others with nvidia cards have said they also have it.

Just wanted to confirm whether the change has yet to come

Simply go to dayz directory and right click dayz.exe and open properties and go to compatibility tab and DISABLE FULL SCREEN OPTIMIZATIONS

Repeat this step for dayz, dayz be , and dayz x64

Bad module info - Crash

Died yestersay fully loaded because I got this crash. I spawned back in, got smacked in the head by a zombie while I was still black screened and died after about 1min of being unconcious. It happens within about 30 minutes of playing. This only occured after I finally gave in to the Window's 10 update that was pushed out almost a week ago.

if u look back at my post you can clearly see that i was an pussy, my mindset always was negative when i was heaving into staroye an place with lots of PVP my mindset was like i hope i don't die well now that's not the case went into staroye thinking who am i going to wipe today :D that totally changed my play style i knew when to react and when to rush of stay, i was not nervous hungry for gear i was more strategic example when the guy sed : wait a second. I knew he was talking to an team mate, if u have the same problem like me just change your play style and mindset think about the wrong decisions first.

PS : Lower the volume a bit my mic is way to loud
