Understanding Besiege: How Cluster System Works

What the Duck is the Cluster System? A Cluster System, mentioned in the Devlog, is a group of blocks in which it makes calculation in Besiege much easier, allowing to travel information faster and easier across the Multiplayer in the Multiverse.

You may go and have something like a fidget spinner in your head already just from reading that. Lemme make it more understandable.

How Cluster System Works The way how Cluster System works in Besiege is basically a simple Algebra.

If 1 + 1 = A, What is A?

In this analogy, the A is a cluster while the 1 + 1 is blocks connecting together. The cluster forms a group in which it turns into a variable.

Now here comes the another cluster.

If 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 = B, then what is B?

Again, the B is the cluster while the 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 is the blocks connecting together.

Why does it makes calculation easier? If Cluster A is colliding with Cluster B, this is how Besiege calculates:

A [collides with] B = Calculation result

Rather than:

1 + 1 [collides with] 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 = Calculation result

Conclusion The cluster system is basically a group of blocks in which Besiege takes it as a variable. This makes calculating in Besiege much more easier and faster.

I hope you guys understand from the text. <3
