7d2d is underrated

Posted: 23 Nov 2017 01:01 AM PST

So for months I've been telling my boss what a great game it is and it was always blown off by him because it's " not their type of game" well with it being on sale now he picked it up, so we're playing for "1 hour" and it turned into 4 (because 7days rabit hole) and they really like it. Because it's not a AAA r* or EA game it gets looked down on until it's played.

Idea for a mod/feature: Nightmare Mode.

Posted: 23 Nov 2017 12:52 PM PST

On mobile, so I might edit this later with more detail.

Apocalypse Mode (can't switch it in title)

The concept of this idea is that upon starting the game, the Wasteland slowly starts to spread across the map. Over time, it will eventually cover the entire map, converting it into one big wasteland.

This is to simulate the spread of radiation following the war. After maybe 30-50 days, the map is entirely converted. After 60 days, a radioactive hell storm engulfs the map, making surface travel fatal in seconds, similar to the radiation zone borders. Staying in a building to survive is impossible. Underground only. Radiation blocks will be converted from the regular blocks, going 50 blocks down, forcing you to dig deep to last.

After 80 days, the weather loses most of its radioacticity, so while you can explore, you'll still be forced to stay indoors, only now you can stay in buildings. You can now travel on the surface, only going out with a gas mask (added object). Physical exposure is minimal, but exposure by breathing is high, and can be fatal in minutes.

After 100 days, the radiation clears, but the map remains a wasteland. Wasteland creatures roam the land, and most living animals have died out, making them rare to find.

The concept of this game is to force you to prepare for the coming storm and a harder game overall.

The idea is based off the Corruption from Terraria, the Solar Apocalypse mod from Minecraft, and season 4 of The 100.

I feel like unless you switch some options, the game is still pretty easy. Concept wise, this seems fun.

Playing random gen on PS4, anyone know the max number of traders that spawn in on the map? So far I've found 5.

Zombie Spawn Rates

Posted: 23 Nov 2017 05:09 PM PST

In the current version of the game, is there a way to adjust the number of zombies that spawn normally (not just day 7 hordes)?

Before A16(?) you could turn it up to 150% I believe. What made them remove this option from the game?

another newb - odds and ends questions

Posted: 23 Nov 2017 01:00 PM PST

  • Any way to know how you died if it isn't obvious? I don't see a record of deaths...
  • once you are killed and go below 100 health, anyway to get it back to 100? Is 70 the lowest it will go?
  • food! ack never enough. Ok that isn't a question

Trader question

Posted: 23 Nov 2017 02:20 PM PST

So I've been to the trader and in his compound there's a well that has a hatch. The tunnel down leads under his base and eventually back up to the room the trader stands. Is there a way to unlock the hatch or break in? Or is the hatch there just a tease? On XB1 if that matters for some reason.

XB1 Lag Suggestions?

I absolutely love this game, but trying to take over the central city is unbearable. The game gets about 10 FPS whenever I even just look towards the city. Is there anyway to help this?

New player starting

Posted: 23 Nov 2017 08:25 AM PST

Hey,

New player starting out, just myself and an equally New friend. We have a new game, two days in and we are in a cabin in the woods nearby a town. Our biggest issue atm seems to be water. But otherwise going pretty well, only day 2 though. Any hint or tips that can help some news like us? Having a ton of fun, including the numerous deaths, this game is so good even being early access!

Anyone here play H1Z1. Is it similar to 7days?

Posted: 23 Nov 2017 03:49 PM PST

I love playing 7days and the forest. Anyone here has experience playing h1z1? Is it fun to play solo just go survive playing against the zombies? I'm not interested in PVP. game is $5 right now so that's why i'm thinking of buying it.

Minibike Guide!

Posted: 23 Nov 2017 02:20 AM PST

Today's guide is to the Minibike in 7 Days to Die. We'll work through crafting and assembling, and what to do if the book simply eludes you and you can not find it.

---> Minibike Guide <--

1) What skill/book do you need?

2) Chassis. Handlebars. Seat.

3) Engine, battery and tires

4) Basket and lock

5) How to craft and assemble

6) Minibike screen, what does it all mean?

7) Where to get headlights, tires, and the minibike (shopping) basket.

8) What to do if the book can't be found?

9) Avoid water, spikes, and doors.

*) Extra: Use spacebar to brake! How could I have forgotten to mention? :)

What do you think of the upcoming vehicles in A17?

Are toilets and cabinets intended loot for the crates you find inside 'dungeons'?

Posted: 23 Nov 2017 05:28 AM PST

I'm talking about the so called 'vertical dungeons', the new huge buildings with several floors and lots of zombies on each. Every time I open a crate it reveals a completely random piece of furniture. In the very first A16 build I assumed it to be a bug, but it hasn't changed as of A16.4... I find it a pretty weird loot system if intended and would much rather have less crates, which actually spawn a good container, like a home depot box!
