- [Question] why does niantic take super rare Pokemon like unown and just throw them out to a specific group of people? I feel like that completely defeats the purpose of them being rare.
- Sunflora seems to be a appropriate pokemon to put inside of this gym.

Incubators should work for 30km instead of 3 uses. Posted: 05 Aug 2017 05:58 PM PDT You could hatch 3 purple or 6 orange or 15 green eggs. Either have that incubator dedicated to the first color you put in it or be able to mix and match. [link] [comments]

I love Mystic7 but he does some ignorant shit sometimes. Posted: 05 Aug 2017 01:16 PM PDT I'm watching his video right now, and he just blew 10 fast TMs in a row because he didn't realize that: A- Omastar's rock fast move is legacy, and B- No pokemon can learn more than 2 fast moves, so once you use 2 fast TMs and still don't get the move you want, it's time to stop. I realize that he never played pokemon before Go came out, but for someone who covers the game for a living and has done so for over a year, I don't see how he can have such huge knowledge gaps like that. Posted: 05 Aug 2017 06:49 AM PDT I feel like some Pokemon should stay rare and in the wild compared to just being given away. Defeats the purpose. But if they're just gonna throw them at people I sure would like an unown :) [link] [comments]

RIP Jordan - We haven't forgotten about you. Posted: 05 Aug 2017 09:33 AM PDT Almost a year ago, this was posted to this sub and the community rallied around /u/Lorybear showing support. You're still with us Jordan and your spirit will continue to live on. RIP Jordan [link] [comments]

[Bugs] [Sorta-x-post] [Bounty] [Needs more tags] Catch a Legendary with the last ball. Posted: 05 Aug 2017 10:30 AM PDT https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/comments/6rlbc2/bounty_catch_a_legendary_with_the_last_ball/ Under the advice of one of the mods here, I'm making a new post to get a little more attention to my offer. As you've probably heard - there is a working theory that the last ball of a raid battle is bugged and the Pokémon will always display one wiggle and flee (outside of a potential critical catch). There are a lot of people who claim to have, or know someone else who has caught a raid boss on the last ball - but amongst all these claims, no one can provide proof - because, really, who records every raid ever? To attempt to gather more information, /u/CaptainMorti has offered up one month of Reddit Gold to the first person to record someone catching a Legendary on the last premier ball without a Critical Catch. Because I like science, I have upped the bounty - I will throw in the winner's choice of either a $10 Google Play or Apple Gift Card to whomever first meets the criteria set by /u/CaptainMorti. So, there you have it. Go forth, Trainers. Prove this bug doesn't exist (or provide more evidence to support that it does...) *Note - I'm of the belief something fishy is going on - I'm not sure if it's a visual bug (as some have claimed to have it show the flee animation, but still have caught the Pokémon) or what. I just like a good mystery. Also, I'm sad because my Moltres this morning got away. Last ball did the wiggle and flee. /sadface. [link] [comments]

[STORY] A fun and rewarding day! Posted: 05 Aug 2017 01:37 PM PDT My son (Lvl24) and I (Lvl31) went for our daily Poke walk today. Despite living in a small town, we are lucky to live within walking distance of our County Fairgrounds, which has 10 stops and a gym. The gym had an Electabuzz raid happening. We were about 20 seconds into the raid when a car pulled up and some younger boys hopped out of the back. I asked if they thought they could beat the boss on their own, or if they'd like some help. They asked for help. My son and I backed out and waited for them. They were impressed with how quickly the four of us were able to take him down. All four of us caught him. My son and the two boys added him to their Pokedex. The boys were very polite and thankful and got back in the car in their car and drove off. My son and I resumed our walk and as we were coming out of the fairgrounds the car pulls up again and tells us they caught a Wild Venasaur just down the road. My son and I took off. (I am glad I have been doing all this walking, it made the run bearable!) We were both able to add Venasaur to our dex! TL;DR:We helped them get Electabuzz, they helped us get Venasaur! Posted: 05 Aug 2017 06:19 AM PDT I moved to Japan from America in March of this year, working as an English teacher. I've been a player since day 1, and never put the game down. Back in Texas, I could go out a few times a week with a friend or a family member and spend an hour at a cafe and play. It was just a relaxing time-killer. However, a few months after moving to Japan, despite loving the language, culture, and job, I started becoming homesick. I mean, saw that coming; I jumped to a foreign country, can only speak the language enough to get by, and have nothing I'm familiar to around. But I hitting the "I want to go home" stage. The only thing consistent for me, was Pokemon Go. And FYI, I live in a tiny town in Japan where there's hardly any decent Pokemon. Luckily for me, there's a few other foreigners with me here, although they all had long since quit playing. Less than a month ago, after seeing me on it and playing happily still and with the new gym and raid updates, one of them started playing with me a little. And it was FUN. We even tried taking down a gym, which I hadn't done since coming to Japan. Then, two more of my fellow foreigners started playing, even if only a little. At some point, I ventured into my first raid, a Tyranitar. Early morning on a Saturday, and I went out to try it. I failed miserably. But as I failed alone... people started coming. Like, a whole bunch of people showed up, even inviting me to join them. It was the first time, that without my job context or me being a "foreigner," I was approached or spoken to by a Japanese person. And it was AWESOME. Well yeah, didn't catch the Tyranitar even if we beat the raid... But fast forward to now... the people that raid are now recognizing me, and willingly come up and talk to me. I get excited to go out walking again. A few of my friends and I have even ventured to another city (because my town is so dang small) and the groups of players there are beginning to recognize me and I've become more comfortable talking to them now. Like, I GET TO PRACTICE MY JAPANESE NATURALLY??! Hey, can't call them friends, but it has certainly appeased my homesick feeling and actually made me enjoy my life more overall. I'm more than just the blond foreigner brave high-school boys say "hello" to when they remember it in English as I pass by. I guess... I feel included now? It's nice. So thanks, Pokemon Go. (Can you make a friend's list or messaging thing for the app so I can contact them for raids now?!) [link] [comments] |
