True Dota 2 - Why exactly is Pit Lord have such a high win rate all of a sudden [patch 7.06e & d]

Why exactly is Pit Lord have such a high win rate all of a sudden [patch 7.06e & d]

Nothing changed in patch e but in patch d he had 1 tiny little change to his firestorm but not enough to explain his rise to 57.49% win rate this patch. I understand his strong, but not that strong. Unless I'm missing something. He's basicly taken Abbadons spot for tanky offlaner without the accidental awesome that abba comes with. I'm not sure, what's your opinion?

What are the defining characteristics of your favorite pro players?

Posted: 06 Jul 2017 02:37 PM PDT

At some level, every pro has the basics and knowledge down to muscle memory: farming patterns, movement on the map, etc. Furthermore, Dota is a team game before it is an individual game and at the professional level, it is more about how the team functions together.

That said, there is still the style of each player that shows through when they play. If this were not the case, then every player would play the same hero the same way or have similar hero pool. While it is a staple that pros know and master the meta heros (Arteezy Venomancer last month vs mastering Lycan/Naga at TI4), there are still heros they shine on and a defining playstyle that makes them stand out.

Who are your favorite players and what is it about their playstyle that makes you their favorite? How do they distinguish themselves from other players?

For starts, Maybe is my favorite player. He is not necessarily the most flashy but he is clutch in the moments where it matters. His performance at TI6 in lane against Arteezy's Alch was where every little clutch moment, ranging from the last crit for first blood to his get aways by the skin of his teeth (usually deliberately too) helped LGD to secure their win against Secret despite messing up quite a bit elsewhere. Maybe is perhaps the strongest laner in China and while he demands that the team play around him (I believe LD mentioned this when saying why Maybe did not want to play with Xiao 8), he delivers time and time again.

When to use which Ember Spirit build

Posted: 05 Jul 2017 06:02 PM PDT

I just started playing ember and I'm not sure which build to go with, the traditional battle fury Daedalus build, or the new age veil thing.

EG.Cr1t's Pos4/5 Puck

Posted: 05 Jul 2017 09:04 PM PDT

I've seen a couple games where Cr1t usually first picks puck and was surprised when either their 4th pick or 5th would be Sumail's or Universe's 2/3 respectively. What's the reasoning behind this, and why does it look so effective? How do they make it as effective?

Strategies based on backdoor pushing racks?

Posted: 06 Jul 2017 04:37 AM PDT

This is something that has been possible for years but its very rare to see for some reason. Anyone do this semi regularly or know of VODs of it?

Was thinking CK might be good as he's strong this patch, curious if shadow shaman necronomicon + refresher does enough damage to backdoor a whole t3 or racks by himself, will have to test

AM with diffusal+ SE viability

Posted: 05 Jul 2017 11:07 PM PDT

Saw miracle running it a lot recently. Always theorised that Diffusal can be a better alternative to basher on AM and it seems to be working for miracle. Then again, our skill levels and brackets are vastly different. What do you guys think?
