I've seen this happen in pro games, but also in pubs where Miracle AM will go safelane, he'll get a support. The enemy team puts one hero in the offlane who gets easily zoned by the support, and AM gets free-farm for 15 minutes. Why do pro teams and pubs do this? In my AM games (2.5k), the lane tends to decide the game. If I get good farm, we win. If they shut down the lane with a strong offlane, and their other lanes don't feed, we lose. [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 25 Jul 2017 04:04 AM PDT almost everyone i know goes sny on gyro but i feel like its a trash item on gyro because he has so much survivability/damage issues that you want all your slots filled with items like butterfly and satanic which give a lot of damage and survivability. the build I usually go for is phase-aquila-mom-dragon lance (lv10 +225 health) and then usually bkb/mkb/butterfly and then satanic. i sometimes go maelstrom into aghs but i quite dislike sny because 32damage and 32 attack speed does not feel worth it especially when mom is 120 as and 20 damage and lifesteal on a hero who is most likely going bkb/butterfly/satanic every game. Posted: 24 Jul 2017 06:49 PM PDT I'm about 3k on the Australian server and primarily play LD under the name Lone.Threw.It For a long time I have been watching replays of top LD players on dotabuff to learn how to be a better LD player. Most replays of top LD players are quite boring because the LD has a lot of building damage but very few kills and rarely solo carrying the game. I recently discovered this guy ( https://www.dotabuff.com/players/443389162 ) who is playing in games that are bit above my skill bracket. He regularly plays LD and dominates almost all of his games with kills in the teens and very few deaths. I think people like me could learn a lot from his replays so I thought I'd share here to help other amateur LD players like myself to learn from, and maybe discuss how this guy plays and what makes him so good. His starting items are tango, stout, QB, and two branches. He picks up boots, Oov, and blight stone before hitting level 5. Then he kills anybody in his lane doesn't matter which heroes or how many there are or which replay. They all die. Most replays are of him stomping mid but there are also some offlane and safelane replays. The offlane replays are especially interesting because this is where LD is most often played and it is also the most difficult lane for LD. Most of you will have already seen LD pull the first creep wave through the jungle to his offlane tower to safely last hit, but there are also other pulls/ wave doubling techniques in this guy's replays that I had never seen. Some match IDs: 332964664, 331065128, 327079130, 3325755422, 3325522745, 3324867275, 3323158544, 3334255045 Wonder who this guy actually is? tl;dr Watch these replays if you want to play LD better. | magnus build with aghs aether octarine Posted: 25 Jul 2017 10:46 AM PDT hi guys, i had a lot of fun rushing aghs after arcanes + blink, getting aether lens octarine afterwards. what are your opinions? you can 1 shot creepwaves from a ridicilous range, stay super far back with bonus blink range for ulti and or skewer. in midgame if you are lvl10 and have your aether lens ready, it is super easy to push out lanes very safely and super quickly. for talents i went +15% spell amp, +90g and then you can decide based on the matchups if you want skewer range or bonus amp from empower (pretty good). +15 armor at 25 kind of balance the lack of armor in this build in the lategame but for the most part you are not trying to get into right click fights from the getgo, just stay back and spam 4 sec double shockwaves. some context i am 2.8k euw, people do not know how to play against this it seems haha. i am 2-0 so far (went sth like 14-3 in both) will try in more games and update how it went [link] [comments]  |

| Did they change how clicking to target works? Posted: 24 Jul 2017 06:09 PM PDT I feel like in the last month or so Ive been misclicking way more than I used to. I dont know whats up with it. Using ult to push or teamfight or somesuch. Build would go Tranquil/Phase (not sure which would be better) -> Drums/Midas (depends on how lane went) -> Radiance. Thoughts? Improvements? Posted: 25 Jul 2017 12:37 AM PDT I tried to manually start (from gaming console) old manuals (dota_tutorial_start mid1v1_tier1_tutorial, dota_tutorial_start Bot_Practice_Match, dota_tutorial_start Limited_Hero_Pool_Game, dota_tutorial_start mid1v1_tutorial). They work some incorrect and don't give any troffies after ending. I also tried to change my world_map.dat file with empty result. There is a rumor that is possible to acquire gunslinger set (not_tradeable, of course) by installing dota 2 version before 07.2016 update and ending the tutorial in them, but i can't find, how to get and install this version.
