| Why does the Tavern Brawl open 10pm in Europe while opening at 9am (4 hours earlier) in America? Posted: 26 Jul 2017 05:06 AM PDT From what I understand, Wednesday is supposed to be "Tavern Brawl day". Yet as an EU player, Tavern Brawl opens at 10 in the evening. While I do usually still have some time to play it then, its really annoying to be excited for a new Brawl all day and having to wait that long for it open. When it finally opens I usually just play one or two games (even if I do enjoy it) and then go do something else, before going to bed, instead of being able to spend a nice amout of the evening on a new funmode. I just don't get why it doesn't open the same time in every region (9am) or at least open the same time worldwide (6pm EU). What's the reason for us Europeans having to wait 4 more hours to play it?? This could be a cool way to create achievements for completing content throughout the game. No p2w, just having fun trying to make your emotes show something off. EDIT: And possibly each emote can have 3 stages, just like it did in the fire festival. Endless incentive! | Prince Taldaram is too insanely good Posted: 25 Jul 2017 12:16 PM PDT I get that everyone is looking at the 99% scenario where he is a vanilla 3 mana 3/3; however, only true card game wizards like me can see the brilliance and overpoweredness in the design of this card. Imagine this scenario - t1 your hand is pyroblast, pyroblast, fireball, frost nova Your opponent is druid and innervates out a millhouse manastorm. You topdeck shatter, and you play out your entire hand, leaving the druid at 4 health and killing his millhouse. Now, at this point, you're screwed, since you included only zero attack minions for the entire rest of your deck. The druid can simply hero power out of lethal range every time you ping. However!!! You have Prince Taldaram in your deck, which is not a zero attack minion. You coin it out to copy the opponent's vicious fledgling. A 3 mana 3/3 that adapts every time it attacks a hero? broken! Your opponent misplays by hitting face with his vicious fledgling, and you take the win. I realize that some bad players may object to my example, and I do agree there a few flaws. For example, the example that I just gave is a fairly unlikely scenario; it would only happen in 50% of all games. Furthermore, people might say why use Prince Taldaram when you could use vicious fledgling. Well, the answer is simple: if you included vicious fledgling in your deck, then Prince Taldaram's effect wouldn't activate. Obviously you can't include vicious fledglings in your deck. This card is insanely good and is being underrated just like paladin quest was. In fact, I am so confident this card will be in all competitive decks after KFT release that I will even downvote my own post if I am wrong. [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 25 Jul 2017 01:00 PM PDT Kibler went on a Twitter tirade early professing how strong a card Blood-Queen Lana'thel is and I argue that Lana'thel will be garbage regardless due to how poorly designed the Discard mechanic is. I understand the argument of "Warlock is not good so the card will not be good" and that is a wrong one. The class can improve and be solid but this card will not be featured in it as the Discard mechanic is unreliable and a trainwreck at its current state. Well, here's your chance for someone to donate to a good cause. Edit: By the way this is not a slam on Kibler, I'm a big fan of his content and he was my first Twitch prime sub a few months ago. Edit 2: Please note this means in three months time there must be a Tier 2 deck. Not a deck that emerges in one month that climbs to Tier 1 or 2 but one once the meta settles. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Cracking the Secret of Prince Taldaram Posted: 26 Jul 2017 03:26 AM PDT I've worked it out. I've solved the Hearthstone enigma code. Prince Taldaram is combo-Jesus We all know that Blizzard was too scared to print Patches until Ship's Cannon rotated out - well, Taldaram is the same deal. You see, Blizzard had to wait for Thaurissan to rotate or else the Prince of All 3-Drops would break the game. Stay out of Wild when the new expansion drops. You've been warned! My man Big T enables the most degenerate overpowered OTK combo in the history Hearthstone - the 8 card, 2 thaurissan ticks, 10 mana, 34 burst Wild Hunter OTK. If you aren't shaking already, please start. All you need to do is use Hunter's unbeatable board control, unparalleled draw engine and indomitable sustain to draw through your deck, collecting your combo pieces and, of course, staying alive. Once you hit fatigue (meaning no more slimy 3-drops in your deck), you drop Thaurissan. Obviously he survives a turn because your opponent has burned out all their resources trying to rush face because they know what's coming, and you, being Hunter, have effortlessly out-controlled them. You now have 2 Thaurissan ticks on the other 7 combo-pieces. Your opponent removes Thaurissan now, because you need that sweet 7th board slot. They don't play taunt because they have honour (unlike all 3-drops, except mah boi lil T). It's time to D-d-d-d-d-d-duel!!! First smash that Tundra Rhino for 3-mana (its better to get a third Thaurissan tick so that you don't have to play a dirty 3-drop). Then Angry Chicken for free. Hit that chook with my father figure, the man who's been with me from the very beginning, Daddy T. Now we got a fat chick on board. Who let the dogs out? Who? Who? Who? Who? It was me. Sorry. On the Hunt (0-mana) your 3/3 hen. She's gonna get real pissed. Now this is important, so read carefully. You let the dogs out first, then pump that fowl with roids up to its ears. Pump it up with that Beastial Wrath. Now its double mad. Copy that Bantam twice with 2 Faceless manipulators (3-mana each. Yuck). 6x as mad, you might even say enraged. Now all thats left is to hit your opponent square in the face with 3 10-2 Immune utterly furious birds for spot-on 30 damage. Feel free to cash in on your extra 4 burst for that juicy BM. Ez victory. I've run some complex predictive testing and I can guarantee you a +80% win rate before the Wild meta settles. Cluck cluck The Prince is here [link] [comments]  | ||

Every time I pop into r/hearthstone there are one or two new cards to look at and think about. It seems like it's a pace of about one card every 4 hours give or take. I usually am in favor of getting big chucks revealed all at once, but if this pace keeps up I think I might actually enjoy the drip feed style this time. [link] [comments]  | ||
