I was about to hit Gold 5 (an all-time high for me) in Team Slayer, carrying 3/5 matches and doing pretty well when I wasn't carrying, and I got knocked all the way back to a low Gold 3 because people can't seem to bother finishing their games if the margin of loss is too big. You wanna quit because you're losing, go to social.

343, you guys really need to penalize those who do it more than once or twice, and penalize them with increasing severity the more they do it. This is getting completely out of hand, and is preventing good players from rising up to where they worked to be.

Call it being whiny, but holy fuck, I'm so tired of getting screwed over.

Can we please get some sort of playlist update? I'm sick and tired of BTB being Halo 3 90% of the time. I've seen Death Island get out voted by Standoff for Christ sake. All I'm asking is either to get addition playlist for BTB in specific games or a decrease in Halo 3 appearing in BTB. This sucks even more given the fact you can only play CE and 2 on the MCC while H3 servers are still running.

Halo Wars travel time issues

The Battle of Arcadia ("Arcadia City", "Arcadia Outskirts", "Dome of Light", "Scarab", opening cutscene of "Anders' Signal") takes place on February 9, 2531. Each ending cutscene leads into the next level's opening cutscene, so it's all over one busy day.

Then, in pursuit of Anders (second opening cutscene of "Anders' Signal"), the Spirit arrives at Etran Harborage (Shield World 0459) on February 23.

The opening cutscene of "Shield World" (also Feb. 23) has Anders' and 'Moramee having just arrived at Apex Site and, then, an alert goes out that the Spirit has arrived, meaning that 'Moramee, too, arrived not long ago.

First off, it's been often established that Covie drives are faster than human drives, but this could perhaps be written off as engine damage the ship took from UNSC orbital forces during its escape from Arcadia.

A much bigger issue is that the opening cutscene of "Scarab" (Feb. 9) shows 'Moramee inside Etran Harborage, five days (likely less, to account for travel time) after the fight for the Relic on Harvest, being dispatched by Regret to kidnap Anders (from Arcadia).

So, apparently, it takes under five days to get from Harvest to Etran Harborage and fourteen days from Arcadia to Etran Harborage, but Harvest and Arcadia are only five days apart? Doesn't seem like the Harvest-Arcadia-Etran Harborage triangle would work mathematically. If you have a triangle with two equal sides, by definition, the third side should also be equal.

I know that some of it can be chalked up to the oddities of slipspace, but "[w]ith human slipspace travel, there is generally a five- to ten-percent variance in travel times between stars"Halopedia , so a shift from five days to two weeks is well outside the norm, an almost 300% increase in travel time.

  • I finally finished Halo 5, and I kinda like where they are going with the story - AIs emancipating themselves and Cortana becoming the main villian. After the biological threat of the flood, a cybernetic threat is a logical new plotline.

  • Initially, the gameplay felt really off, especially coming straight form H2A. But setting the control scheme to Recon helped A LOT! Iron sights become more like old school zoom on the right stick, and I appreciate the sprint and climb abilities.

  • I like that they brought Buck back, which helped give Loke's team some much needed character.

  • Also, having Chiefs' old buddies from the novels with him made my inner fanboy happy.

  • Visiting a glassed planet was really cool! I wonder how they can survive without plantlife?

  • Visiting Sanghelios was great - even if it looked completely different from my expectations. I always pictured a jungle planet. But I just tell myself that we only saw the desert biome in H5, home of those new ugly pizza-face elites.

  • I got really lost in all the new terms - guardians, mantle, domain, warden eternal... but I like that they don't dumb the plot down, but rather go all out with the crazy scifi themes and esoteric ideas.

  • I think if the Prometheans weren't so badly designed from a visual standpoint, H5 could be one of my favorite Halo games! But those ridiculous floaty shrapnel robots are so goofy, so unbelievable, so cliché... they really drag modern Halo down. This was already H4's biggest problem.

  • I hope they completely ditch the Prometheans in H6 - they did the same with the elites in H3, so theres no reason they couldn't do it again... Less Transformers, more Flood!

I have thought about this for a while and thought it would be interesting to ask the community as well. What, in your opinion, is the most halo-like scene that 343 has done. In other words, what has 343 done that reminded you most of classic halo that wasn't a remaster.

I personally think that the "It's done" cutscenes from Halo Wars 2 was the closest we have come in recent years to the classic vibes given off in the older titles. Be it the classic art style, the concept of one Spartan and an ai working together, or the calculated, John Wick-like combat style of said Spartan, this cutscene never fails to give off those classic vibes.

So, I recently acquired the "Legend" (beat Halo 1-4 campaigns on Legendary difficulty), and I remember 343 saying that anyone who achieved this achievement would be given the Helioskrill armor set. Is that still a thing, or is that armor with the certain unlocking conditions unavailable now?
