Players with an extremely low Behavior Score shouldn't be allowed to play ranked

Posted: 29 Jul 2017 12:28 AM PDT

Not talking about players who flame sometimes but those who feed couriers, destroy items, feed, and rage in like 3/5 games. They usually get so many reports that their Behavior Score is very low and I think this would be a much better punishment than Low Priority Games. They have to play unranked, be nice to players to get commends and might learn that there is no point in what they are doing.

Please make the OG crest green again

Posted: 29 Jul 2017 06:09 AM PDT

It sucks, as an OG Fan. Imagine, you are a liverpool fan and your sponsor wants your crest to be blue because he likes it. That's ridiculous. They can keep the red bull logo on the crest but not the color.

Ever since 7.06c, Necrophos' Ghost Shroud visual effect is misleading

Posted: 29 Jul 2017 05:35 AM PDT

Patch 7.06c increased the radius of Ghost Shroud from 600 to 750, but the visual effect remained the same.

Here is what the effect currently suggest the range of the slow is.

And here is Axe standing outside the visual cue of the spell, yet still affected by the slow.

Valvo fix please.

Blog Update

  • Welcoming New Players | link

Some of the most satisfying moments in Dota are found in the first stages of learning the game, as you begin to see intricate strategies take shape in the battles around you. However, there have also been some issues that caused unnecessary challenges for new players in the past. With today's update we're introducing two features designed to help new players face as few barriers as possible to enjoying Dota.

The first feature is a change to the hero selection system. To help new players, we are now restricting hero selection to a curated group of twenty heroes for their first twenty-five games. This introductory group consists of heroes that we've learned are very successful in helping new players learn and enjoy the game.

Today's update also introduces a feature that matches new players against players with consistently high behavior scores. It is especially important for a new player to have a good social experience while they are first trying to learn the game. The matchmaking system will now ensure that new players will play with and against appropriately-skilled players that also have a track record of good behavior.

The International is soon approaching, and we look forward to welcoming you to the Newcomer Stream!

PSA: Be kind in pubs theses next couple weeks.

Posted: 28 Jul 2017 07:37 PM PDT

As TI is upon us we are reaching again that time where newbs as well as people who have not played the game for almost a year are joining our wonderful community, goes without saying but when you are new to the game you suck. So the people that have more hours in the game need to guide the noobs in the right direction. After these next couple weeks where waves of people are floating in you don't have to hide your scrooge mcduck attitude and you can go back to flaming people.

[Consistency] Does Radiant go on top or does Dire go on top?

Posted: 29 Jul 2017 12:39 AM PDT

http://imgur.com/a/Dewzg

I know this has been the case for a long time, Reddit has brought it up before as well (probably more than once), and apparently it's all thanks to Tobi. However, since we just got this new UI, it seemed a good time to bring this up again.

The new spectator selection UI looks great, but can you please decide which team goes on top in all interfaces?
