| Posted: 02 May 2017 11:00 AM PDT Dear Niantic, Since Generation 2 went live, I have not seen a single, solitary Tauros spawn. Anywhere. Its bovine counterpart Miltank has appeared more often in my parts, and that one is quite rare to begin with. Look, I get it, before it spawned far more than was needed. Heck, I stopped catching them myself a long time ago. But think of the newcomers to the game. And more importantly, THINK OF THE PEOPLE NOT FROM USA OR CANADA. It makes me sad to think of how many people are now denied a trophy pokemon when they are visiting from other continents due to the sheer rarity of Tauros. In summary yes Tauros was a little too common at one time. But they overcompensated. Disclaimer: your experience may vary, but he is ultra rare in every biome in my region. [link] [comments] | ||

| if you put blissey at the bottom of gym that isnt maxed out yet then you are a bad human Posted: 02 May 2017 04:17 AM PDT theres very few things in this game worse than having to fight blissey 20-30 times just to get 5-10k prestige and going through a massive chunk of your roster just to put one pokemon in one gym just because if you tried to fight it with things half its cp you run out of time every single time please dont do it put something else in and save your blissyes for gyms where you know your gonna be higher up or a gym that you just got to level 10 blissey is a lot of work and so shes a great way to discourage people from attacking a gym but this goes both ways cause its even more discouraging to prestige a gym cause its way more work for the same points so if you want gyms your in to get to level 10 dont make it a pain in the arse to prestige them [link] [comments] | ||

| [Suggestion] Taking Full Advantage of AR by Taking Squad Pictures Posted: 02 May 2017 08:31 PM PDT So I'm not sure how feasible this idea is, but it has been on my mind since the game came out last summer... I think it would be fantastic if there was an option to turn AR on and you could stand in front of the camera and input your height. Then, you could select "x" amount of Pokemon you possess to join you in the photo and Pokemon Go could scale their heights based on your height that you originally input! [link] [comments] | ||

| Anybody else remember when Lapras were common in gyms? Posted: 02 May 2017 11:54 AM PDT After they got nerfed and people generally started getting more 2-3k mons Lapras stopped appearing in gyms as much, but before they used to be common gym pokemon. I miss seeing them in gyms. What Pokemon do you wish you saw in gyms more? [link] [comments] | ||

| Can we ban "Does anyone else still have their starter?" posts? Posted: 02 May 2017 06:25 PM PDT I swear I see more than one a week. It's not even content, just people talking about how Charmander is their starter and they haven't seen another one since. [link] [comments] | ||
| Pokémon go, the number 1 dating app for nerds? Posted: 02 May 2017 05:33 AM PDT There was this young man in our local huntinggroup that was kinda cute and sweet and just effen perfect, but you know, shy and scared and all that stuff. So you go hunting togheter, grab his arm, be cute and giggly, but nothing seems to happen. Then, last monday, in our beautifull little venice we call Brugge his hand finally met mine. And there we where, two addult people, hunting hand in hand like a couple of crazed teenager. And later that night we shared our first kiss. Now we are wondering how many more pogocouples are out there. We've already read one story on here. Please share more. [link] [comments] | ||

| [Idea] Yet another Gym Diversity Proposal Posted: 02 May 2017 05:41 PM PDT How about a LIFO (last-in, first-out approach)? If you're the first one to claim a gym, you're the crown position, next one in 2nd position, etc. Last one in is the first one out (last one gets the 10th position) Advantages:

| Posted: 02 May 2017 08:41 PM PDT TL;DR: Traveled south to get into Heracross territory. Found some! I live in Houston, just above the latitude where Heracross spawns. My husband and I decided to make a Sunday of traveling southward to see if we could pick up some of the bugs. I was especially interested, of course, in finding some good Blissey counters, because goodness knows everyone around here loves showing off their Blisseys in gyms! Our first stop: Victoria, TX. Only moments after entering the city and checking the nearby--there it was, that silhouette! We homed in on the stop, got a Heracross in our sights, and pulled into a nearby parking lot to catch it. Success! Laughing and high-fiving, we celebrated and then continued cruising around town. Another Heracross spawned! This one appeared on my phone but never showed up on my husband's, so now I was ahead. Neither of them had two fighting moves, darn it. We decided to go to a large park nearby. This might have been a mistake, for while we joined a couple of gyms and caught dozens of Magikarp (seriously, three or four spawning at a time!), no Heracross spawned there. We returned downtown and drove around and around for a while, but no more luck. We decided to continue south to the next small town, Port Lavaca. Didn't have much luck there, either, except for being able to join a gym (still in it!). But then, right as we were headed out, another Heracross appeared in Sightings--"in the grass," as my husband and I call it. Oh, no! We all know the dubious nature of tracking that way, but we drove back, into a nearby neighborhood, and started slowly cruising the streets. It spawned! And a big one, too--2165! Oh, and a male, unlike our two previous captures! A few tense moments...and he was ours! Naturally he had two bug moves. By this time it was getting late and we had to head back home. Checking IV's revealed that all of our prizes were "room for improvement" (Spark's worst assessment), and one was quite the treasure with 0/0/0 stats. None of them had the coveted fighting moves I had hoped for...but, doggone it, we had a great time, filled a space in our dex, and legitimately acquired a regional. The thrill of the hunt was very real! [link] [comments] | ||
| [Story] Last night I dreamt of Unown Posted: 02 May 2017 09:17 AM PDT I had a dream last night that an unown spawned while I was playing. Right as I was about to click on it, an egg started hatching. Then another. And another. I was so frustrated and scared that the unown would despawn. After all the eggs finished hatching, i went to click on the unown. Then tons of random pokemon (pidgeotto is the only one I can remember) started spawning right next to the unown, making me accidentally click every one except for unown. They wouldn't stop spawning and crowding it until I woke up. Needless to say, it was a bit of a nightmare. [link] [comments] |
