The new queue has many questions being asked so here's a daily megathread to help your question not get lost. You're more than welcome to continue to make threads with questions. Please try and help users by answering their questions!

Questions could have spoilers in them! BEWARE ALL THOSE WHO ENTER! Minor spoilers will be below about weapons, bosses, locations, etc. But someone might ask a question regarding a moment that has happened you have not experienced. So please know what you're entering.

TL;DR: Major locations/temples and major character names will be allowed in titles with the release of the game. Titles still must be vague and cannot divulge storylines. Boss names, dungeon weapons, plot points are not allowed in titles.

Titles must begin with [SPOILERS] when discussing the game or they will be removed.

REMINDER: BoTW spoiler policy ends today. Starting Monday, April 24 the BoTW/Spoiler commenting will no longer be required

What this means is the [BoTW] and [SPOILERS] requirement on all BoTW posts is no longer required. This general spoiler policy we've had for years is still a rule:

All spoilers must be kept out of titles and flaired. Comments must use the format [X Kills Y](/spoiler), ex: X Kills Y. Submissions please click the "spoiler" button if your posts contains major spoilers.

So you still can't spoil a game where a user says they're in progress. We just won't be requiring the [BoTW] tag on all posts. You're more than welcome to use any of these tags on any game specific post but are not required:

Some thoughts off the top of my head:

  • Farm whetstones to sharpen your weapons before they break, which would protect them from breaking at all.

  • A recipe book so I don't have to stumble back and forth with my ingredients to make the same thing multiple times in a row. In effect, pick the recipe and it's done.

  • A way to set my favorite clothing set in one button press. I change clothing frequently to suit my situations, so it would be nice if they allowed me to create my own sets instead of going back and forth between items.

  • Individually view korok seeds, shrines, and pinned items in my map.

  • Make my own arrows with a stick and some flint.

No need to agree or disagree with me... I simply want to read your thoughts on what you think would improve the gameplay.

....wanted to have the Deku Tree tell Link something other than "I love you?" Her diary pretty much confirmed this is what she wanted to say...yet Nintendo failed to deliver and didn't have her actually say it in this game. (Zelda in SS wanted to tell link something before she got blown off her bird...never go to tell him onscreen) TWO GAMES IN A ROW NINTENDO!!!

I kinda wonder if Nintendo was trying to troll us into thinking thats what she wanted to say, yet they have something else intended in mind.

Make ancient shields a hover board... It's futuristic and it makes sense. WHY NOT?

It would "run out of energy" and break instead of breaking due to it sliding too much since it wouldn't touch the ground

[BotW] PSA: The radiant shield is amazing for surfing.

Seriously, it gains and holds momentum like a champ. Think it's the fastest shield I have ever used. Half the time I can hop on flat ground and just skate away at high speed. 10/10

Having a personal Zelda renaissance! Which to play first?

Kind of a worthless post but was looking for some quick input.

I just bought a Wii U and three Zelda games. Windwaker, Twillight Princess, and Breath of the Wild. Of the three I have only played TP before, and remember having a great time. Should I jump right in to the game du jour, or will that sour my playthrough a of the more traditional Zelda games?

While I was playing BoTW today, I got some revived memories to find that I liked that story a LOT more than the one in the game. I would much rather play a game about Mipha, Daruk, Revali, and Urbosa than Sidon, Yunobo, that white Rito guy, and Riju. If anyone knows how to program fan games, try to get in contact with me, because this game needs to happen

Umm........ Excuuuuuuse me, princess! (Voice your opinions in the comment section below!)

Although Link has never had any extensive dialogue in The Legend of Zelda series - he certainly isn't mute. For any of you who have ever played Skyward Sword, I'm sure you've noticed Link's expressive body language during certain cut scenes where he is clearly engaging in conversation.

However, in most Zelda games, Link is typically given options to respond to other characters in the game with closed-ended responses such as Yes, No, Okay, etc.

If you still believe Link is mute, please feel open to debate I'm eager to hear your responses! Or, if you have anything to add, again please feel open to elaborate. :)

I'm doing a dramatic monologue and there's a requirement for music. My character is a bit of a bumbling idiot, and I want this one theme from TP that perfectly encapsulates him. I remember it has tubas and is very low pitched, and I think it might be associated with one of the gorons? If you guys know the name could you help me out? Thanks in advance

Ok, so I am trying to do a minimal run on ALBW, I don't want to upgrade my sword or armor, and also not obtain any bottles. I have completed all but Death mountain, Skull woods, and Desert Palace. The Desert Palace boss is driving me nuts though. Does anybody have any advice?

Essentially, I'm debating buying it but I'm not sure if I should or not. So I wonder, is it any good?

Is it informative, or one of those guides that misses out on the details you are really looking for?

Is it a fun read even outside of using it to complete the game?

How careful is it with spoilers?

How is the book structure?
